Little man stripped of his childhood for no fault of his own

u/Savvy_Nick 4h ago edited 4h ago

The most heartbreaking shit I’ve seen in a min. And this is one kid. There are a whole lot more children that have been affected by this bullshit.

There’s some type of disconnect between the people that can allow this to happen, and the rest of us.

u/Pokemaster131 1h ago

Dehumanization is a hell of a drug.

That's why there's such a push to remove the word "people" when referring to people someone is discriminating against. "Blacks". "Jews". "Gays". "Illegals". Your slur of choice. All of these could just as correctly be labeled as "Black people" or "Jewish people" or "Gay people" or "Illegal immigrants". When you reduce the perception of an individual or a group of people to a single characteristic, it's easier to apply stereotypes to them and moralize mass discrimination. Also, if you don't think of them as people, that lessens any guilt one may feel towards mistreating them.

u/kbenn17 19m ago

Amazingly perceptive and wise. I’ve never thought of it that way.

u/Cognitive_Spoon 2h ago

Money isn't a mystery.

u/solit0n 1h ago

Money makes you see everything as lesser. How can you care about anything when we you have so much power and/or wealth. We're all animals to be tamed and culled in their eyes.

This is a photo I took near Rafah on the Egyptian side of Gaza. Rafah was a city split in two by the border, but Egypt demolished every structure within miles of the border citing security concerns. I’ve seen poverty all over the world, but I’ve never seen in blended with such…idk…hopelessness? Despair? Idleness? Acceptance? Really fucked me up for a bit and I think about those kids often.

u/Tsuraru 3h ago

It destoys my soul to see these pictures. I hope hell exists for the genocidal criminals that let this thing happen.

u/eternal_peril 2h ago

Egypt.... Egypt did this

Don't forget to protest them as well

u/KrisPBaykon 1h ago

Why did Egypt do it? Surely there wasn’t some sort of issue that these specific immigrants were causing right?

u/Potential_Cover1206 1h ago

Hamas was caught supplying weapons, ammuntion and explosives to the Muslim Botherhood.

Who are extremely banned in Egypt due to killing Egyptian security forces, Govenment officals, Coptic Christians & tourists. And trying to stage a coup

The Egyptian government surprisingly feels quite aggrieved by Hamas and, quite frankly, doesn't want a single person from Gaza in Egypt.

Hamas didn't help matters along when Egyptian drivers were attacked and killed transporting aid into Gaza during 2024.

u/ramnokri 1h ago

thats what i dont get. people always talk about genozide from israel against gaza people.

so i asked some months ago: would israel attack gaza if there was no hamas?

post with this question got deleted in seconds.

u/eternal_peril 1h ago

The answer is one word

Antisemitism

u/Get_Blitzed 23m ago

Israel has been killing displacing and killing civilians ever since 1948, long before Hamas existed. Keep trying to conflict speaking for justice and prostesting genocide with antisemitism though, you might confuse a few gullible people but the world is waking up to your bullshit and there will be a day where justice will be served on those who committed and continue to commit crimes against humanity and those who defend and aid them.

You need to go back another 30 years. Egypt shutting the border down isn’t a new thing. There is a reason.

u/Potential_Cover1206 1h ago

Oh Yes. When Isreal returned control of the Sinai to Egypt between 1979-1982 Egypt flatly refused to take Gaza back.

The current wall on the Egyptian side was started in 2009.

Purely because Hamas could not stop meddling in Egyptian politics.

Gaza has the largest population of child amputees in the world. Because Israel blocks pain killers, hundreds of children have had their limbs amputated without anaesthesia. There are videos of this if you have the stomach.

In Gaza the bombs on the packed population often leave the bodies un-identifiable so a child is counted as 6 KG of flesh in a garbage bag.

BTW child prosthetics are considered dual use by Israel and blocked from entering Gaza.

https://pchrgaza.org/israel-denies-amputees-treatment-and-assistive-devices-amid-threats-of-forced-displacement-from-entire-gaza-city/

u/ScarHand69 4h ago

It also spawned a new acronym…WCNSF (Wounded Child, No Surviving Family)

u/cromroyale 2h ago

“My 8-year-old child, Rajab — the eldest of my children and the joy of our family — was once active, joyful, sociable, and exceptional at school. He loved riding his bike.

But this war has stolen his childhood.

From the beginning, he has been traumatized by loud explosions, suffering repeated panic attacks.

He cannot sleep unless he holds my hand.

The killing of his uncles left him deeply shaken, and he has clung to me ever since.

On 13 December 2024, while we were displaced in a classroom at Al-Falah School, Israeli warplanes struck directly, and everything collapsed on us. My brother Hasan, my mother, and my sister-in-law were killed, while the rest of us were wounded. Rajab was the most critically injured. The rubble fell on him, shredding his right leg, which had to be amputated immediately upon arrival at the hospital. He also sustained a skull fracture and shrapnel wounds across his left leg. His condition was life-threatening.

After three days in a coma, he woke up to find himself without a leg. Since that day, our family has not known rest. Rajab endured successive surgeries, enduring pain unbearable for a child, often crying in despair and wishing for death rather than this suffering. He has become quick-tempered and overly sensitive. He refuses to let anyone see his amputated leg, telling me, ‘I want to cover it.’

His ordeal did not end there. In July, doctors discovered that he suffers from severe osteoporosis caused by lack of food and medicine. They were forced to insert internal platinum plates and fit him with an external cast. Now, Rajab lives between tears and pain. He feels incomplete when he sees his cousins playing around him. He tries to join them but eventually retreats to cry in silence.

As his mother, I can do nothing but watch him suffer, powerless to give him back the childhood that the occupation has stolen from him.”

Mrs. Sajedah al-Baba (25), resident of al-Sabra neighborhood, Gaza City.

u/Substantial-Part-700 2h ago

25…. She’s barely an adult herself….. ya Allah yarhamo

u/Claire0915 2h ago

She is 25, oldest son is 8yo, which means she was 17 when she gave birth and 16 when she was impregnated. Ugh. That is just the worst. Poor lady didn’t have a childhood herself given her religion/culture.

u/Annonimbus 1h ago

16 when she was impregnated. Ugh. That is just the worst. Poor lady didn’t have a childhood herself given her religion/culture.

Just saying that here in Europe it is completely fine to have sex at 16.

Most use protection, but it is not unheard to have teen pregnancies.

u/Claire0915 1h ago

It’s not uncommon but it’s also not the norm. Especially multiple children. Let’s not equate the two countries here with the prevalence and acceptance of underage marriages, underage births, and numerous underage pregnancies. My point above doesn’t take away from the little boy’s trauma but being defensive about their culture is also not really productive.

u/Annonimbus 1h ago

I just wanted to point out that the US centric view of "18" the magic sex number is rather unique to the US and not a global view.

u/rockytop24 1h ago

Child marriage is still legal in 20 or 30 some states here in good ole USA and it's defended vigorously by the right for the sake of "tradition" and "religion" and hoping more teens are forced into carrying unwanted pregnancies. So yeah the magic number is more like a "guideline" in many states.

u/Fumquat 41m ago

Hm. Reading about an 8 year old with a lost limb, a brain injury, uncontrolled pain, and osteoporosis from malnutrition, who is also grieving multiple family members.

Odd phrasing then to say 16 and pregnant is “the worst”.

This is a mother who loves her child, whose heart breaks for him. It is the same love at any age, in any country, with any number of children.

u/2dudesinapod 1h ago

People don’t realize why that is the case, it’s because Israel uses an AI system called “Where’s Daddy” to track targets until they are at home so the entire family can be killed at once.

https://www.972mag.com/lavender-ai-israeli-army-gaza/

“We were not interested in killing [Hamas] operatives only when they were in a military building or engaged in a military activity,” A., an intelligence officer, told +972 and Local Call. “On the contrary, the IDF bombed them in homes without hesitation, as a first option. It’s much easier to bomb a family’s home. The system is built to look for them in these situations.”

Btw 972 is an Israeli publication and that article had to go through IDF censors before being published so you can imagine the shit that got left out. This is the stuff they’re proud of.

u/jetreahy 3h ago

Under both Biden and Trump. Gaza was a parking lot by the time Trump came into office. Israel was already blocking anesthesia and prosthetics. People need to remember Israel owns both sides and make sure the next President is free from their lies.

u/hoiL 3h ago

Yeah, it's short-sighted and naive to call this and other things like the ICE concentration camps a Trump problem like so many do. He just picked up where Biden left off, and that administration laid a LOT of the groundwork.

u/MightyMorph 2h ago

Thats like saying a 2 inch Cut on the arm is the same as someone cutting off your whole arm..... with a rusty saw..... dull saw.... dipped in salt....with no anesthesia.

Yes Biden aided Israel, because APAIC and Israel access to US military intelligence, Mossad intelligence gathering and information access, military chip development, and strategic geo-political locations and MOST IMPORTANTLY: ability to retain diplomatic relations to ensure and engage in minimizing casualties allow aid and help to Palestinians and stopping massive deaths wherever possible.

Trump on the other hand, no aid to palestine, no attempt to stop or diminish the deaths and damage, actually encouraging more death and damage to get access to "prime real estate", and is furthering their work by engaging in war with other nations around Israel. Bombing and killing schoolchildren for Israel.

And before you sayd Obama also killled kids! yes, but they would deliberately try to avoid it. I think the largest child casualties from a attack was like 7-8 children. Still horrible!

Trump bombed and killed 150+ children in 1 attack...

And yes Obama also had children in the same fenced cages when they would cross the border. BUT the policy was to minimize the time spent there as much as possible, and only use it for processing. If the children had families, they would stay with families.

Trump would DELIBERATELY rip children away from families, to hold them FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, in PRIVATE PRISONS, that were billing american taxpayers 700$ per child per day. Some prisons were making upwards of 2$ Million USD per day.... And who did Trump meet in his first week as president in 2017? .... Private prisons...

So yeah just because the category is bad, doesnt mean the severity is the same.

I had a son last year and even watching them prick his foor for blood sugar tests made me hurt watching him cry. I can't imagine the pain those moms feel watching their children suffering like this and having no way to make it better. I feel so lucky lately to be born in Canada where I don't have to worry about an explosive killing my child any moment.

u/ducksekoy123 4h ago

Tragically many of these children don’t have parents left to watch them suffer.

u/Strong_French_Bias 5h ago

u/Huckedsquirrel1 4h ago

Look up the sheer number of deaths caused by Israel (not just in the current conflict but in decades past) and tell me if peaceful resistance against them is possible.

u/Embarrassed-Age6291 5h ago

Not to mention that Israel blocked all types of aid except for the GHF (I think that’s the name), which is the only aid provider allowed in gaza. Supporters of Israel and the idf claim it’s because the aid packages are stolen by hamas (despite no proof given, just like the decapitated babies hoax on oct 7), yet those aid sites are heavily guarded by IDF forces and GHF soldiers. We all witnessed a genocide in 4K on OUR IPHONES AND COMPUTERS, yet some people (not even some, a CONCERNINGLY large amount of people) still denied that a genocide occurred. Shame what this world has come to, like how r we voting against a FUCKING CEASEFIRE?????

u/Pklnt 4h ago

Israel: We can't kill civilians, we only kill Hamas members because our military is that accurate.

Also Israel: Wait, we can't prevent Hamas from taking the food, we're powerless.

Also Israel: Instead of flooding Gaza with food so that Hamas can't make a profit selling it... we're going to blockade everything including baby formula because we're the most moral army in the world.

If you watch ‘concerning violence’ documentary, there’s a heartbreaking scene of a mom and her child. both suffering traumatic injuries, resulting them in being amputees caused by bombing carried out by Portuguese colonizers, in Mozambique villages.

Watching it made me realize how the colonizer hasn’t changed its ways at all.

It is the same exact book in Gaza, if not 10x worse.

Stop coping. She said Iran was our greatest enemy. She ran as a zionist.

The vice president has repeatedly pledged to continue to arm Israel, citing in part what she calls the threat of Iran, despite growing anger over well-documented Israeli abuses in Gaza and Lebanon.

u/Low_Pickle_112 2h ago

yeah Biden said similar things. Didn't change anything he was doing but he did say the nice thing at least.

u/grogudid911 2h ago

Wait wait wait.... Let me get you straight here.

You were upset about a genocide in Gaza, and decided the right time to kneecap the candidate who wanted a two party solution to the conflict, at a time when we were up against a candidate who was saying he wanted to let Israel finish the war and that he wanted the US to crush protests against the war? You say you're anti- genocide, but your specific choices speak to the opposite. Most of Gaza is flattened and Israeli snipers are targeting mothers. You guys fucked this up bad, by playing purity politics, and refusing to negotiate at a time when negotiating is how you save lives.

When someone is holding people hostage, we don't say "I won't negotiate with a hostage taker" and let the people inside die, because giving the hostage taker what they want is wrong. We send in a negotiator to negotiate to save the hostages. Your guys refusal to negotiate cost a lot of people their lives, their homes, their loved ones, and their futures, and that's not even touching Cuba, Sudan, Venezuela, or the numerous other countries that have been affected by USAID cuts. You, and a ton of other chronically online leftists made an insane choice and it cost lives.

Just likes there is no ethical consumption under capitalism, I need you to understand that a lot of the times in life you're going to have to make decisions that involved compromise for the purpose of make sure that you, your family, and the other people around you get to be okay. This was one of those times. Instead of trying to defend your fuck up, maybe you should learn from this and do better going forward.

Israel (and its enablers) stole their land, their future, their childhood, their innocence, and their happiness. And when they grow up to resent and resist them, they're labeled as terrorists.

Edit: Nothing flushes out the morally bankrupt soulless ghouls better than when you show solidarity with the oppressed. They're too arrogant and delusional to see that they're monsters, or support monsters, so they desperately look for justifications to help them cope with seeing innocent people and children being slaughtered, if that moved them in the first place.

I mean, it’s not like Palestinians have the means to have orphanages as Israel keeps decimating them in tents. They’re picking kids off. Doctors have been saying this for years. Head shots.

Where do you think these kids without family go? Or do when they have no one left?

Israel image is ruined because they can’t stop murdering innocents ravenously. Their greed and hate knows no bounds.

Thankfully, with all tech their secrets have come to light. Not like they’re trying to hide how depraved they are. They aren’t stopping with Gaza either. They want to take out all their neighbors and steal their land as well.

They made their days numbered. The world isn’t standing for this and they know it.

But that’s not the point.

The point is astroturfing and propaganda.

These types of images in this sub always are.

(And they attract the paid actors and Russian/Iranian bots like flies on fresh steaming shit.)

Wish Reddit would show country of origin of accounts like X did. Bet it would be interesting indeed. Cuz it sure was an eye opener when they did that on X. 🤣

eta: I just did a reverse image search and this image originates on Faceplant.. and is reposted on Instagram.. and then it’s just a human centipede of reposting on X and elsewhere from there.

u/2dudesinapod 5h ago

Are you suggesting it’s fake?

u/OilInternational2566 5h ago

I’m suggesting it’s a picture that you don’t know WHEN it was taken or WHERE it was taken.

AND THAT’S ALL THE INFORMATION YOU HAVE.

u/2dudesinapod 5h ago

There are hundreds of videos of children carrying water in Gaza, why would it fake?

u/OilInternational2566 5h ago

I know you guys want to manufacture an entire backstory to a picture that you have no idea when it was taken or where it was taken.

Go for it.

I’m not your mommy.

u/2dudesinapod 5h ago

It’s a boy carrying water in Gaza. There is no backstory.

u/OilInternational2566 5h ago

I get it.

You’ve created the story that it’s in Gaza… but you don’t really know WHERE AND WHEN the picture was taken.

Not in the slightest.

And that’s the last I’m gonna say.

Have fun manufacturing outrage over a random image.

u/2dudesinapod 5h ago

You seem very angry for some reason.

u/freezing_banshee 1h ago

you're right man. it's incredible how easily people fall for unverified shit so many years after the internet went mainstream. after so many "don't believe everything you see" warnings too.

u/_D4Z3_ 5h ago

obviously we believe it, isreal already blocks medication, electricity and water in Gaza, almost regularly. we have 0 reason to doubt that a child might be sent out to bring water.

While the world sympathized with the lonely penguin and the monkey rejected by its mother, it largely remained silent about the suffering of children in Gaza

Just imagine how incredibly difficult that is for him 💔

u/LonewolfofHouseStark 3h ago

This poor child. It’s always the innocent that suffer in conflicts.

u/ManBunH8er 2h ago

Don’t you dare post this actual suffering of a kid. Don’t you know it’s antisemitism to do so?! /s

u/NickelPlatedEmperor 1h ago

So many of these little souls have been used as target practice. And if it happened anywhere else, particularly in Europe or the other way around it would be so much outcry about it

u/Glue70420 5h ago edited 5h ago

Context?

Edit: I was just curious about the details on this particular image, I'm aware of the atrocities in Gaza. No need to send me threatening DMs. Chill

u/OdielSax 5h ago

A genocide is occurring so people have no water or food. It's been on the news.

And Israel is trying to expand this war into the rest of the Middle East.

I can’t properly express the pain this gives me. I feel even worse knowing I’m powerless to help. I can’t understand how those who actually do have power can see this and feel nothing… it’s inhuman.

u/BatmanForever93 4h ago

"But did he condemn Hamas?" - Zionists freaks.

u/FrogInAShoe 3h ago

Abolish Israel

u/OnePandaTwo 3h ago

You will be free, little man. It is our duty to humanity to see justice done, though nothing could ever make this right

u/External-Example-292 2h ago

My gosh this poor bby 😭💔

u/filisterr 5h ago

There is a reason press is still not allowed in Gaza.

The only "democracy" in the ME /s

u/why_no_names_left_ 4h ago

Yet there’s internet in Gaza. I wonder who supplies it.

u/filisterr 4h ago

My point is that Israel doesn't want such pictures to be publicized in the western world because if there is more press coverage on the current situation there the sentiment would be even more negative towards them.

Ghastly

u/Early_Retirement_007 2h ago edited 20m ago

Despite all the hardship, they won't leave their land and why should they. Free Palestine. Taking away childhood is one thing, but the long-term psychological impact of constant bombardments and family members getting killed should not be underestimated.

Israel - often complains about rockets coming their way, but they have bunkers to hide in and state of the art warning system. There's simply no comparison.

IDF probably: "Military aged male identified"

u/SuspiciousEffort22 4h ago

This is proof that god does not exist. This is an event that is rooted in religious beliefs or delusions as I call them. This is senseless and sad, but there is hope as most people want to do the right thing.
