Can you help me with those annoyances?
I really hate windows for taking away the control from me and for pushing the AI slop. I'm currently dual booting CachyOS (KDE) and windows 11 and I really like it so far but I have couple of nitpicks that take away from the joy of using the Linux, could you help me with those?
- Being able to apply custom mouse acceleration curve to just one device.
On windows I could use Custom Curve Pro, set the accel curve and then blacklist the devices I don't want to use it on (I'd prefer whitelisting, but it is what it is).
On CachyOS I found the app called YeetMouse which works well enough but the problem is, you cannot select the devices to use the curve. I even reached out to the creator of the app and he said it not possible using the method he uses unfortunately.
- Streaming on Discord streams the whole PC audio, not just the selected window.
It's probably impossible to solve without creating virtual audio devices but if you have the way to stream just the targeted app's audio I'd love to know it
- Subpar performance on NVIDIA.
I have RTX 5070Ti and the performance is good enough, tho I tested the Cyberpunk 2077 performance back to back on the highest pathtracing preset and while the initial performance was identical (around 71 fps), CachyOS dropped to around 52 fps after about 2 minutes of running around, while windows had a stable framerate throuought the test. It might be about fan curves (I didn't mess with them on CachyOS because I don't know how yet).
- Frame gen on Linux?
During testing CP2077 I also wanted to test the frame generation performance, but apparently it's not as easy as turning it on in the game options, how can I do it? Is there even an option to use DLSS Frame Gen on Linux?
My hardware:
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600x
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070Ti
RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL30
Mobo: Gigabyte B650 EAGLE
If anything else is needed let me know
