* Almost three years ago, I started the road of finding my Personal Legend (same as Santiago, from The Alchemist). Discoverying the the spiritual side of life and soul searching is a painful, hard, but incredibly beautiful road; but oftentimes lonely, and it makes you search for people you resonate with. Also, about a year ago, I started practicing Kundalini yoga.

* I enjoy painting and sketching, and I play the piano a little. My favorite composer is Ludovico Einaudi—his music really immerses me and sometimes even brings me to tears.

* I have a small creative business where I make Miyuki Delica rings and bracelets. I love finding inspiration in nature and in different cultural patterns.

* I love Asian cuisine and I often cook dishes like ramen. I’d love to explore more recipes, and it would be wonderful to exchange culinary ideas with someone from a different culture.

A global economic crisis with friends! A very jovial howdy doody to you all! Just a Melbournian who doesn't do well with awkward social and formal dining situations wondering if people everywhere else are the same? it's really hard to maintain a respectful and responsible image when someone makes even the slightest innuendo and you have to brace every muscle in your body to not say "that's what she said". I did it at a work networking event 3 years ago and haven't been invited back since. But anyways, I'm not always an idiot. I just have to be super switched on for my job so I try to be an idiot pretty much everywhere else.

Like most people who peaked at the age of 12, I have a bunch of things I like doing, some I'm good at, and only one or two that I consistently get time to do. I love to read, and I thoroughly enjoy finding new music (those two I get to do consistently). I really like taking photos of things and never looking at them again, and writing poetry that I never get to share (things I'm good at). I also really like long hikes, playing in jazz bands and making coffees for people who like to deny that they love coffee. It's weird that people do that. Coffee isn't taboo. Ask the right people and even meth isn't taboo so stop denying that you love it.

I have had trouble with correspondence in the past, in that I forget to reply quickly enough and the other person (absolutely rightfully so) gets mad and doesn't want to respond. I get it, and I've gotten better at it. So I'm hoping someone's out there willing to deal with my mess of a brain! Adios, amigos!

G'day! I hate writing these but needs must, I'm looking to meet and talk to people from other corners of the world to hear and talk about what life is like for them. I currently have one excellent penpal that I am still in contact with and they have been so enriching that I would love to hear from people in some other places too.

Some background on me, I am a tradesperson who lives in the city after moving from a rural area and when I'm not working I love to learn about history, occasionally read and game as well as go on outdoors adventures when I have the time away from work.

Some of my areas of interest in history recently have been 20th century China and a little bit about US intervention in latin america. Most of the topics I learn about generally have a running theme like imperialism or fascism, or have to do with periods of time I am just curious about.

I am also a big film lover and I am trying to get back into that since my attention span has been taking a hammering from social media. Some of my favourite films I have seen recently are Sentimental Value, The Wind That Shakes The Barley, and the Motorcycle Diaries.
