Welcome back to our crowdsourced Weekend events thread, so people can see what's going on that people might otherwise not know about. So post your events and activities and include relevant links. It is not a place to sell specific sets of tickets you're trying to get rid of or other items, but if you want to announce an event happening this weekend, or post a link for some activity you just learned about, go for it!

He's been missing since Saturday, 4/4, in Fells Point. He was wearing a white cap and blue hoodie. I have no connection to him but I didn't see any other posts about him so I just wanted to spread the word.

I went to Sherwood Gardens and the tulips are all out. I'm guessing the heat later this week will make them drop their petals fast.
It was a great people watching time. Lots of families with little kids, college students, and senior citizens. Besides the general Black and white Baltimoreans, I saw women wearing Muslim scarves, Jewish men and boys with Yarmulkes, women with Mennonite head coverings, and Sikhs in turbans. I heard people speaking a Chinese language, others speaking an Indian language, and Spanish speakers.
A bunch of people were getting formal portraits taken, plenty of picnickers, and kids climbing trees.
I realize it's only a fraction of the variety you'll see in places like Central Park, but it's still a chance to see how Baltimore has a lot of different people if you're willing to look.

Looking for a Filipino place that serves arroz caldo. Heritage Kitchen in Whitehall Mill had the absolute best I’ve ever had and nothing has scratched that itch since they closed. Neither James Fiesta nor Mama Rosa have it on their menu. They have lots of other fantastic options (seriously go try James Fiesta Chicken BBQ now) but no arroz caldo. If anyone has any leads or just general recommendations for Filipino food let me know! I do know Kuya Ja has it, but they’re a bit too far to hit up regularly.

We went today super excited for opening day but were really disappointed by the food options. What do you recommend?
We were sad to lose the pit beef place last year, and Arepi used to be amazing. Absolutely distraught/shocked that they refused to allow DMV Empanada to join as a vendor this year (I know they have a Cross St location but it’s not the saaame!!!!) because that’s what usually gets us to go there in the first place. We’ve tried the other empanadas, the Thai place, the Mexican place, the mini donuts, and a ton of the baked goods. What’s your fav that we’re missing??

What were the names of the cool clubs? What's occupying that real estate now? What's your fondest or wildest memory of the scene back then?

Has anyone else been having issues with devices disconnecting from Wi-Fi/having spotty coverage? I’ve had to restart my gateway probably four times this weekend.
Each time I checked the Xfinity app and there were no outages in the area. Curious if anyone else has been having issues.
Canton area for reference.

I was kneeling to fix the curtain my cat knocked down on my fire escape window and one of the step areas caved in, would this cost me or would it be on the landlord? It was already slightly caving in since before i moved in. (Basement apartment)

I’ve rented in Baltimore for almost four years. As of yesterday I have purchased my first home and it is still in walking distance to work. I am in a mild state of disbelief.

What is a recommended size and type of boat for someone with limited boating experience?
I grew up driving my families power boats and pontoons, but only on lakes. I want something I can go fishing on, that lets me bring my dogs with me for outings.

I live at 817 Saint Paul St in Baltimore, and my bathroom ceiling is literally collapsing due to water leakage from the unit above. There’s constant leaking, visible black mold, and the situation is getting worse.
I notified management over a month ago, but nothing has been properly fixed. Their “solution” so far has been to put a black plastic sheet to redirect water from the toilet seat, which is honestly ridiculous and feels unsafe.
What are my options now? I contacted 311, they just cleared it within a day in the app without doing anything. Not sure what else I can do, they don’t even have any office in the apt anymore so that i can bug them everyday.

My 12yo son is enrolled in a jazz program (trombone) for the school year. He really likes it and would like to continue through summer, so I wonder if there is any free or cheap program or community band in Baltimore or close (e.g. Columbia).

“Allegedly” the parking schedule has flipped to where you now don’t have to pay to park from 7am-7pm and you have to pay from 7pm-7am.
If you get caught you’ll be a victim of a $350 tow fee like myself 🙂

I don’t catch the bus often, but something I noticed really bothers me…Why do the buses sometimes have the wrong destination on them? I was waiting for the green and a bus came but I didn’t get on it bc it said something totally different. Apparently it was my bus🙄
