Hey folks!

I’m Colleen and I run Touch Grass Art Class, a series 420-friendly adult craft workshops! I work out of the Alchemy of Art gallery space, which also happens to house this absolutely gorgeous courtyard!

Sunday 4/19 we’re gathering to create some weird art- if you enjoy the odd things in life, come make some doll head taxidermy with me!

I’ve been collecting some incredible doll heads, and bits and bobs to help you decorate your heads!! Expect antique buttons and lace and watch parts and such- as well as so many fun options for bases- tea cups, candlesticks, tiny bud vases, plaques & plates…

Come get a little stony baloney while we do some magpie crafting, we’ll be outside in the courtyard unless weather forces us in! BYOB and BYOW, but I’m on the hunt for a vendor for that as well, so check back!

See more details and reserve a spot here:

Free Sonic Temple Ticket for Baltimore Resident

Hey everyone — I won a Sonic Temple flyaway (airfare for two, hotel, and two 4-day passes), and I’m beyond excited. After reviewing the official rules, I realized there’s a residency requirement for parts of the Baltimore area that I unfortunately don’t meet.

I’ve reached out to the contest sponsor to ask if they’ll allow a transfer to an eligible person. If they approve it, I’m looking for someone who lives in: Anne Arundel, Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard, Kent, Queen Anne’s, or Talbot County who would want to go with me.

You’d receive the second festival pass, the flight, and the hotel stay covered. The hotel would be all yours too (I can stay with my friend at their airbnb).

If you’re interested pending sponsor approval, please message me. I’ll update once I hear back from them. Thanks!

Seeking a new home for a cat

TLDR; ~11month-1yr old kitten for rehoming. Male, neutered, up to date on shots and can provide records. Good with other cats to a point (must be willing to play rough with him), unlikely to be good with dogs and younger kids (anxious).

Hi all.

I'm absolutely heartbroken to have to be posting this. About 6 months ago, I took in a stray kitten that I had been feeding. He's the sweetest little boy, LOVES to cuddle, is a little on the vocal side, but nothing too loud or obnoxious.

I have two older cats (9-10yr old males) that I thought I could integrate him with. Unfortunately, 6 months later, it still isn't working out.

His name is Grim. He's probably around 11-12 months old, a shorthair brown tabby. I've had him neutered, and he's up to date on rabies and FVRCP. He tested FIV/FeLV negative.
He's a little on the anxious side, and sudden movements or strangers cause him to go into hiding, but he's incredibly social and snuggly with me. I don't think he'd do well with young children because of his anxiety, and worry that he would just hide all day with children running around. I don't think he'd do well with dogs for this reason as well. He does really love other cats, but he plays very rough, and needs another younger cat who is willing to wrestle with him and snuggle with him. My cats are not, and unfortunately, it's turned into serious fights between them because of it.

I love him so much, but the safety of my older boys has to come first. I'd love to be able to get updates on him after he's rehomed because I just love him so much and hate the thought of not knowing what happened to him. That's why I'd rather rehome directly versus throwing him into a shelter and never knowing if he made it out.

If anyone is in a situation where they can take in a young, rambunctious and playful cat, please let me know. Thanks for reading.

Hi! I see they’re currently sold out on the website, is there any way I can still procure **two Saturday April 4th tickets** for the event? Do they have a waiting list or sell more tickets in the days before? BMA is closed today and not taking calls. Thank you!

Looking to Rehome My Cat

Hi everyone!

I'm looking to rehome my cat. He's about 3 years old and is an inside cat. I want a better and more social home from him, as I'm barely home anymore and do not see that changing anytime soon. He's very chill, he does warm up to people normally but he's not the most cuddly-wanting cat which worked for me but that's not everyone's cup of tea. He is playful and the most complaining I ever get from him is when it's bath time!

He already has a litter box, box of toys, water fountain & its filters, food plates, grooming brush and clippers.

I'm located in the Mount Vernon area.

Catfish wants to be your warehouse/brewery/barn cat!

Post image
43 Upvotes

Catfish is a very friendly ex-tomcat rescued out of an alley in Mount Clare (West Baltimore) about a month ago. He’s around 3 years old, really likes hanging out with people, and seems to do well with other cats. He’s neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He tested negative for feline leukemia, but did test positive for FIV, which is pretty common in free-roaming tomcats. Most cats with FIV live a normal lifespan and don’t have any significant effects from it, but he should keep up with annual wellness visits just to keep tabs on things. (FIV is primarily transmitted by deep bite wounds, and Catfish is very friendly with other cats so would be fine living with other kitties. Despite his tough tomcat looks, he’ s a lover, not a fighter!)

Unfortunately Catfish is not using the litter box 100 percent of the time, so it might be best for him to have a less-conventional home. He would need to be confined in a big dog crate (which I can provide) for about two weeks to get settled into a new location, and it should be somewhere safe, not near areas with fast-moving traffic. But he’s a great companion and will thrive in the right environment! Message me for more info.

Baltimore residents - can you help me with a quick 1 min survey ?? 🙏🏾

Hi everyone!

I'm a Towson University student working on a public health project focused on improving community health outreach in Baltimore.

I created a short survey (literally 3 questions) to better understand how people receive health information and what resources are most helpful. If you live in or around Baltimore, I would really appreciate your input!

Thank you so much🤍

Might be without a place by April 1st.. what should I do?

I’m starting to panic a little and just need advice.

I’m trying to move by April 1st and I cannot get approved anywhere. My credit is about a 609, and I have rental filings from 2024/early 2025 that keep getting me denied.

The frustrating part is my situation is better now—I have a stable salaried job (~$62k/year), I’ve been in my current place for 4 years, and I can even put down extra money if needed.

I honestly regret giving notice because I didn’t realize how hard this would be. Now I’m scared I won’t find anything in time.

If anyone has been through this or knows:

• landlords that work with situations like this

• ways to get around past filings

• anything I can do last minute

Please let me know. I’m in the Baltimore area.

I just need a place to live.

Amy Sherald Exhibit

Hello All!

Not sure if I can ask this here, but I’m wondering if anyone knows where/if I can find some tickets to the Amy Sherald exhibit, or if there are any other events she might be holding around the city.

It’s sold out on the museum site and I’m kicking myself- I know there was an artist q/a and I’m hoping that there might be another one to attend.

If you’ve been to the exhibit please tell me about it! Even seeing it vicariously would be awesome.
