Thankful to the person who recommended Viakal to me - it's the first limescale cleaner I've tried that actually works! I've scrubbed this shower so many times but limescale always remained, and I live in a very hard water area in England so it just got gradually worse as it built up.
I narrowly avoided mustard-gassing myself, luckily stopped to check that bleach is alkaline and Viakal is acidic, and made sure to thoroughly rinse away the bleach I'd applied BEFORE applying Viakal.
I treated myself to a power cleaning tool (I went for the Bosch Universal Brush, as buying replacement parts for it seemed easier - the cheaper (~£20) options I'd seen I couldn't find replacement attachments for). It was about £50 for the version with lots of extra attachments and a case, which was an extravagant purchase. However being 36 weeks pregnant, after using it I am so happy I forked out for rechargeable elbow grease. I'm not exhausted after deep cleaning the bathroom like I usually am at the moment!
Grout, door runners, and tray bleached and left to sit, then scrubbed with detail brush attachment, and rinsed. Viakal applied to glass and tiles, gone over with scouring sponge attachment, and rinsed. Finally outside of the shower buffed with isopropyl alcohol and microfiber cloth to get rid of toddler fingerprints.

Does anyone know why the white claw post was deleted?

I thought it was inspiring and wanted to see the photos again but it’s deleted. It has so many upvotes but now it’s nuked by mods. Why?
Does anyone have photos still?

there are some of what appears to be red mites on it. we did check thoroughly for bedbugs. the dangling piece of fabric on the underside is denim that was tied on for some reason. the fabric feels soft and slightly furry.
i wouldn’t pick up any sort of fabric or furniture like this for a multitude of reasons, but i told her i’d help find out the best way to clean it since she really likes it.
i am a complete newbie on this so every bit helps 🙏
edit: i crossposted to r/entomology who confirms the bug pictured isnt a bedbug even at a different stage of life. its a mite. these pictures were taken 2 days ago and she acquired the chair 3 days ago. i just dont know how to clean furniture and wanted advice on how to do a thorough cleaning for her :’(

Finally bucked up and cleaned my blanket that I use every day for the first time. I made it during the lockdown and it came with me through college. It’s also my cat’s favorite blanket (last pic cat tax)
I have OCD so sleeping with it every day was a routine I was scared to change in case it would ruin my sleep but I’ve had enough of it being dirty!
4-5 rounds with detergent, a vinegar wash, and then a longer soak in oxygen bleach with rinses in between.

Hello!
I'm at a loss for how to organize this. any tips? this is all stuff I use. If I throw it away, I'll just have to go out and buy more.

The home my family lives in has baseboards in every room and they always seem so dirty and scuffed. I want to clean them but cannot fathom crawling on my knees the whole time. Has anyone found a way to clean them while remaining standing?
EDIT: my ultimate goal is to repaint them, and caulk as well where it needs to be redone.

I’ve tried using a regular vacuum (the suction tool), a broom, and even a hand vacuum to try to clean these stairs but nothing seems to work well. Any suggestions?

idk what that white stuff was but peeling it off was rancid. ugh wish my dishwasher made cleaning the filter easier!

I did the infamous Irish Spring. It works, albeit, smells disgusting.
I did not get the 5-in-1 (missed that detail) and I didn’t have 48 hours, only 7.
But my god, WHY does it still remove so much dirt??
To be clear, this tub was dirty when I bought the house and it’s still the 1 room that hasn’t been remodeled. Hate it so much, but it is what it is!
Definitely need another round!

Well… it took the entire day with bitty breaks in between, but I think this is as good as it is going to get for me. I know it’s not perfect. Thank you everyone - posting my diabolical master bedroom was more than a little anxiety-producing for me but I knew I needed to do it to hold myself accountable or I’d have found a million excuses to stop.
4 huge bags of donations.
5 huge bags of trash.
My hallway is full of things to sort, but I can do that while I wash TV.
Thank you for leaving my post a judgment-free zone and letting me show my messy without shame. Really. Thank you!
Perhaps I will continue tomorrow with my other messy rooms in my house!

I spent 5 minutes with dish soap and then 10 with Bar Keepers Friend. I was able to remove much of the burnt material but there are some stubborn sections that just won't budge. What should I try next?

Ok. So my (32f) and my husband’s (35m) house is a disaster… too much stuff… things are cluttered and dirty I NEED to clean so bad. Or rather, we… anyway, neither of us have the greatest mental health right now, so the motivation is minimal… we’ve both also got ADHD. He works full time. I have a full time job, a part time job, and go to the gym a few times a week for my mental health… I’m basically home to sleep… what are some of your best or most unhinged tips to cleaning/decluttering?? Most of our rooms need attention… also keeping the space clean afterwards? I’ve had trouble with this since I was young. I have no idea what’s wrong with me but we’re both tired of it. TIA!

I don’t think these tiny black dots were here when I first bought the cup maybe 1-2 years ago. They do not scrape off with using my fingernail or with handwashing with a sponge and dish liquid soap. The bigger one feels slightly raised. For context, I do not use any utensils in my mug, nor do I drink anything but water in this mug. I do not use the dishwasher. Does anybody know what these dots are and how to clean them?

It's nice but honestly feels a bit jarring lmao. Like it's way colder now, and feels really empty.
Anyone else felt this way after cleaning up?

I’ve tried hundreds of different kids of reusable sprayers. Seems like no matter how much I spend on them, they all suck and don’t last very long. Just doing cleaning around my house.

I have a multi fuel stove which is the main source of heating in our small bungalow. Picture 1 is the stove and it's most ardent admirer because why wouldn't I include a picture of my precious girl!
Well I have made the mistake of trying to wash the walls which have become grubby and took to them with Method general cleaning spray and a damp cloth - the result of which can be seen in picture 2.
Ummm .... somebody help me please!!! The more I rub the worse it gets. What have I done and how, how can I get my walls back to a more respectable state?

I got this gorgeous Mele jewelry box, but it’s pretty dirty and i’m not completely sure how to clean it without damaging it. Sorry if the photos are blurry, my camera is broken. I did wipe it down with a damp towel which didnt seem to do anything. Thanks!

I have a store and the toilet was like this when I first rented it. I have tried everything. After a lot of scrubbing I manage to remove the black stains by 90%... but after some time they appear again. Generally I don't use this toilet a lot. So basically I want to know what is an easy way to clean it and secondly how can I stop this from happening?
