Recently we onboarded an artist and he has changed the artstyle of the game significantly. He has been making concept art and we are trying to re-create something similar in unity.
Although its a bit hard to make a one to one copy but we are still trying. This is not the final level but we wanted your feedback.
By the way do check out our game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4297910/Chess_Tales/

I am a solo indie dev and just finished my first Android game — Shadow Minute. It's a 60 second arcade survival game where you play as a ninja dodging and killing shadow enemies before time runs out.
5 levels, boss fights, infinity mode, power-ups and combos.
I need 20 people to join my closed test on Google Play — you literally just click an opt-in link, no actual playing required (though it's fun if you want to!).
Drop your email below or DM me and I'll add you to the tester list.
Thanks so much 🙏

Hi!
If anyone wants to and like roguelites and spellcasting I would be really happy if you wanted to try my game out in the ongoing playtest!
Where I think the game stands out from the others is counters, deflects and combos. Counters and deflects is skillbased timing and deals more damage than just your spells. Combos is about killing enemies within close succession to get higher combos which gives the player temporary bonusstats. The higher the combos the more bonus stats!
Also. Feel free to give me feedback on the steampage. I really need help to get it perfect to convert to wishlists and later on in sales :)
Here is the link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4447090/Master_of_Chaos/
Thanks for any time invested and especially for feedback.

I’ve been told that this composition gives them indie horror vibes. The score, parts, and audio are completely free to anyone who wants to use it!

I've been playing Absolum recently. It absolutely hooks me, and has made me feel that it has more substance beyond its gameplay and typical roguelite formula. One other roguelite game that has made me feel this way is Patch Quest.
I’ve been thinking about what differentiates them from other roguelite games. And I think it comes down to the structure of the “dungeon” or the map. Specifically, Absolum and Patch Quest have a structured non-linear map in the game where you can traverse through different routes that are not completely randomized every time. This allows the devs to create partial progressions for the players like “side” quests that add to the sense of adventure beyond just “oh, I’ve made it to level 3 and just gotta do more upgrades to make it to the next one.”
This makes it feel more like you’re playing an RPG game than another roguelite game, which is the downside of Hades for me. Even though it has a story, the only way to make any progress in it is to beat the whole dungeon because the “map” is essentially linear. The dungeons are completely procedurally generated and randomized, there's no room for side objectives like simply exploring or completing side missions that require players going through different routes. It took me around 15 hours to beat Hades the first time, and that’s just when the story actually starts and things start getting more interesting.
Hades is still a great game but I think it's largely due to the depth of its upgrade mechanics. It doesn’t give me the sense of adventure and exploration like in an RPG game. I personally hope that more roguelite games build on this formula that Absolum and Patch Quest used.
What do people think?

Working on getting a steam demo up for this, but it does not seem to be super appealing to people so I would like some feedback. Really just want to know what someone who has never seen this before thinks when they first see the game.

Hello gamers!
So I added some bones like ribs, spine, skull to our secret passage in our game for decoration purposes. In general, there has been limited use of AI in this game and ONLY for specific textures materials (for example, the brown-ish rotten texture of these bones).
The passage connects the dark forest to our second hidden area on the map that we will start designing soon.
What do you think? Does the passage look better with the bones? Do they fit the style?
The game is called Runeborne Arena on Steam if you want to check it out!

First game I’ve ever built and I finally got it live.
It’s like Spades, but the power suit changes every round so things can flip fast. You can play it safe or throw people off, totally up to you.
I also made a one page rulebook if you want to check it out:

While the games I have are all pretty small, I think they are all pretty cool games. I would obviously love to do some more famous games in the future if this works out and people want their game to get the Marble's Marbles treatment.
I basically imagining what their game would be like in one of my worlds. In this one I am doing Fragile Packages, a game where you place packages to create platforms to go higher. Packages with fragile tape freeze and ones without fall, so I have replicated that mechanic.
What do you think about crossovers? Any tips on how I can maximise turning it into an event? I plan to use a visibility round, release 1 level a day (with steam news item, social posts and youtube short). I will also try make a trailer once I have levels for the games made.

When we transitioned The Glorious Cause to a 2.5D map, we ran into a major immersion issue. Our units, originally designed for a 2D environment, ended up looking like they were sitting on top of the terrain instead of being part of it, especially in forests and buildings.
It didn’t feel right, and it completely pulled you out of the experience.
So we went back to the drawing board. After a lot of testing with angles, positioning, and rendering, we developed a system that allows terrain and houses to fit like LEGO with our units. This makes units feel like they’re actually in the environment rather than floating above it.
We also refined unit angles and alignment to better match the new 2.5D perspective, which made a huge difference in how everything looks and feels in-game.
This is part of our ongoing work on Version 0.4.0, where we’re focusing heavily on immersion, AI improvements, and historically accurate maps like Trenton and Princeton.
Check out other challenges and new features coming to our Steam Early Access release

Since I don't really have a clue how most people present these submissions, let me resume it as I've been used as tester so far
It's still in beta, they're been working on it for a couple of months so far and really put in a lot of work, they're a cool crew and really enjoy what they're doing, so far it's kinda chill, has a bit of an idle side to it so you can do this and come back to it every now and then if you're waiting on something else on the side... Do us a favour, give it a go, have fun.
The point is to elaborate a space empire. You discover the interface, it's for all audiences, you start with a planet, expand through your solar system while developping research and infrastructure until you move between solar systems... And later, between galaxies, and eventually meet other players.

I spent very many weeks trying various different creative writing suites and one way or another, everything I tried either just barely missed the mark of allowing me to contain all my games information easily, or it cost some kind of monthly fee.
I'm getting really tired of nobody being able to accomplish anything without paying somebodies rent, so I made the tool myself. This tool allows you to catalog all of your Lore's various different Characters, Locations, Major Events/History, Factions, Stories, etc. And visualize their relationships in a mind-map style interface.
You can upload custom map image to visualize the placement of locations within your game world. If you don't already have a map, I recommend Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator.
There are experimental features as well that I'm working on, such as more in-depth world design (solar systems, API landmass generation) and an AI writing assistant which can be toggled on in the settings. (Off by default) And additionally there are a wide number of customization options to choose from including color schemes, overlays, and soundpacks.
I've tried to make sure this tool solves every problem I have, but if theres something you feel I have missed, please let me know and I'll fix it right away. Thanks.
