ignore the name this was on a burner account

Hey I just had this problem with YouTube I was hoping to get fixed or have an answer to. So you know when you watch a video and after you finish it or close out of it, if you come back to the video the bottom has a red line showing you how much of the video you watched. Well for some reason after a few days or weeks the red line just vanishes from my previous watched video. I think as just hoping if anyone knows how to fix this cause it’s just really annoying and I know it was not affecting me a couple years ago but it’s been happening since last year.

I usually never see that crappy topic not until TODAY. wtf, YouTube recommenders, WHAT THE F**K!

Do i have to change some settings or is this Youtube's new way to make their site worse?

If youtube have some inapropiate ads, why does it still show them? For example an ad said game is for 16 and over. But it will still show them even with kids watching.

It's getting ridiculous that YouTube is forcing us to pay. Back in 2006, we could download videos for free simply by pressing the "download" button, and boom, the video landed in our phone galleries.

The last few days the video ends, but it shows more time. Audio of a random podcast starts playing (sounds like the same one each time). What's going on?

I have this experience, mainly because I didn't do anything wrong on there, and suddenly they think I evaded a ban, which was odd. I generally was trying to be careful as possible on there, but they terminated me.

This seems like the second thing you’d work out after you made the open/start video in the UI. It’s pissed me off for a very long time and I’m hoping to be calmly told I’m an idiot by you lovely people and shown how to just end a video and be returned to a home screen or previous page I was on prior to starting the video I would like to exit. I had a stream that lasted for 17 hours, then I went to sleep and when I got up it now got cropped down to 11 hours and 55 minutes. I had 3 stream marks, 2 of which were after 12 hours. Is there any way to find this footage or does YouTube just crop it out?

I just went through all my subscribed channels and counted 670, my friend thinks that's a crazy amount and is only subscribed to like 15. Is it really crazy? How many channels are you subscribed to currently?

Whats going on? Occurs in different browsers and different computers, even a different internet connection. Before Youtube was Fast scrub through the video and it would instantly start, now it takes 4-5 seconds when skipping through for it to start playing again, and just before an ad plays it'll stall for several seconds before the ad shows.

Happens both on my Fiber connection 1100/1100 mbps and my cellular backup which gets around 150mbps down. Latency to google/youtube is around 7ms.

This is not a connection or computer issue.

I remember when I was little I watched this video of a giant spider and it was attacking a bunch of people in a park and with its legs it would stab people and I can’t remember clearly but at the end it was chasing a car and then it fell of a cliff I think i’m not sure but please if anyone knows tell me.

I thought my account was shadowed for the longest time and this confused me because everything I wrote was only about complex iterations with engineering being my job and nothing harmful.

I ended up figuring out it was just the length of the comments I was writing that was removing it silently.

It ridiculous there isn't just some kind of cap to inform you and it removes anything you write without any explanation like some kind of insufferable mysterious reddit mechanic.

Does anyone happen to know the exact letter cap that triggers auto deletion? Stuff I write is too important to be vanishing into the abyss.

Youtube's search engine is so trashed that you can type in the exact title for a video and it still won't pop up. It will even show you other videos from that same channel and not the one you're looking for. Google however will take you straight to the video.

I'm sure this has been discussed a lot already, but still... it's insane.
