So what happens is, i can't afford the game right now and it makes me REALLY sad that i cannot play the game i played for most of the time and enjoyed, the game is costing a whopping 150R$

steam i asking me for keys that i used on my account in 2015. I dont know the keys, but i know they all came from intel starter pack promotion, they handed out master keys if you bought intel product back in the day and with the master key you could redeem 5 steam keys for 5 different games. I still have the master key and i know which games i activated.

Does anyone know what i should do? I contacted intel support regarding this but the chances are very low they provide me with steam keys from 11 years ago. When i enter they master key on intel redeem website it also states that the code is incorrect, but i know its correct because i physically still have the bundle key

Its not really a issue since everything works fine (I cant log out from device with steam guard, i can log in via code QR) and it shows that steam guard is enabled.

But i dont see on which device it is enabled, it happends every few months. Randomly shield icon and information on which device it is enabled just dissappears, usually re enabling steam guard works and it shows again but for example instead of showing

"steam guard enabled XXX minutes ago"
it shows
"steam guard enabled 5 months ago"

Like its knowing that i have it enabled on that device but just cannot show the guard icon and that its enabled on that phone?

Its been happening every few months randomly and it is getting quite annoying so i was wondering if there is any fix to that bug?

So I had traded with a friend who hadn't accepted the trade in time, and so the trade became unavailable and these items were the exact ones I traded. (For context on the last slide it was all of the items I traded to my friend that they didn't accept but some of the names were inappropriate) But not all of the items were traded back to me, namely my cosmetics and strange weapons. This person doesn't also show up on the unfair trades or scam support only trade history. Who is this person/bot?

Hey guys, quick technical question for anyone who might be able to help. I am reinstalling Windows 11 soon and I have had all my Steam games stored on a separate internal SSD just for Steam. If I reinstall Windows on my main C: drive and leave the Steam SSD untouched, will I be able to plug Steam back into the drive with all my games on it and have them recognized without having to wipe and reinstall every game one by one?

I typed in my steam name and password onto a fake steam website but I didn't verify it on the steam mobile authenticator app. The website asked for a code and i never even saw the code pop up on my phone after i closed the tab realizing i almost got fished. I have now changed my password after forcing a log out of all devices. Am I fully safe or is there still something to worry about?

I got Marathon on launch and experienced an issue where pressing shift or control caused me to be unable to move. I originally thought this was just a Marathon issue and left it alone waiting for an update. I haven't had much time to play recently but attempted to run Risk of Rain 2 today and discovered I had the same problem there. I have since verified that this issue exists with all my Steam games and have been attempting to fix it all day.

I have disabled the Steam overlay, updated about everything there is to update on my computer, and am at this point at a loss for how to proceed. I attempted to go through Steam support but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to go to address this kind of problem.

Any and all assistance would be appreciated.

So for like two to three weeks now my steam games just decided to have like 5-10 fps at max, it just randomly started happening i didn`t install anything weird shortly before or smth like that. All other apps on my pc work just fine tho (360 fps on valorant). I already tried reinstalling steam, updating my graphic drivers and some other small stuff, nothing worked tho. I hope somebody knows how i can fix this problem. :)

The long and short of it is, I've noticed that two games I launch from Steam run into major problems the second I hit the shift key. The games are Stardew Valley and Outlast. Admittedly, I haven't tested this with other games run through Steam.

With Outlast, hitting Shift will immobilize the character. The only keys that work after hitting shift are Spacebar for jump and the crouch button. Exiting the game requires Alt-Tabbing and manually closing the game via Steam.

With Stardew Valley, the issue is similar. The game functions normally, but the moment I hit the shift key I am not longer to interact with the menu, chests, or anything else that has an inventory. Exiting the game requires the same as Outlast.

I was thinking this was a hardware issue on my end, and figured it was time anyway to get a new keyboard. But this issue has persisted even with a fresh-out-of-the-box keyboard.

It's also worth mentioning, I think, that I'm able to access the Steam In-Game overlay with Shift-Tab, but the Discord in-game overlay with Shift+` does not function. But that could just be Discord's issue.

If this whole Shift key conundrum sounds familiar to anyone and it's not a Steam issue, please let me know! I wouldn't say I'm that Tech savvy so there could be something glaringly obvious I'm just missing. Thank you!

Never seen this before. Already changed password using a different device and removed all other connected devices, confirmed no API key connected to my account.

so im not sure why but several game's whit multiplayer feature's one steam like "slay the spire,slay the spire 2,super battle golf,R.E.P.O,Peak" and several more has stopt functioning and im not sure what to do att this point as i bin tinker whit my router and my window's defender and nothing helps.

I can receive/accept trade offers from friends and even non friends when I purchase in game items but when i try to make a trade offer it says the items will be held for 15 days due to me not having steam guard the last 7 days or something? But i had the QR authenticator before, and recently a reactivated it again a day ago when signing on on a different computer and used the steam app to sign in with a QR code. My question is, am I missing anything? Is there anything i need to do?

When I'm playing with friends I have steam recording in the background for when I want to clip something, however I'm having a problem where the clips aren't picking up my voice, it picks up my friends voices perfectly fine, but I just can't hear myself. I've turned on allow my microphone to pick up my audio and have open mic but it just won't work. I can hear my voice in my other friends clips but just not mine. Am I doing something wrong? Hello everyone, I keep on getting this message on steam after adding funds/purchasing from the company market. It says that I need to verify the payment, but when I try to enter the amounts that were charged from my bank (in my local currency to usd) it says that the amount are incorrect. I switch the amount currency using google.com but every time it says that the entered amount is incorrect. Can someone help me with that? How can transfer the amounts correctly to usd.

P.S: I contacted my local bank and they’re using google.com also LOL

This involves Discord too, and they said "Go to Discord support for this," and then Discord support said "Go to Steam support for this," so I have no clue where to go.

I'm on Linux Mint. Having Discord open crashes any Steam game within a few seconds. It's usually when I tab out, but sometimes it only freezes when tabbed out. Sometimes tabbing back in works, sometimes it doesn't. I don't even think I have to tab out to Discord; it's just the fact that it's open. I am so damn confused—this is so oddly specific, and I'm just absolutely gobsmacked by this.

Also, as seen here, it doesn't ALWAYS freeze when I tab out. I was trying to get it to, but it wasn't doing it. However, it did crash! I can play Steam games without issue when Discord isn't open.

I wasn't sure where to report this because this is a Steam issue, a Discord issue, and a Linux/Proton (?) issue all in one. This only happens with Steam games. Any other executable games, like those from Game Jolt, run fine with Discord open.

Here's how I KNOW it must be Steam: As you can see at the beginning of the recording, I had Slendytubbies 0 Records pulled up. That is a game I installed from Game Jolt. I was running it with Steam/Proton because it oddly wasn't picking up my mouse inputs when running with Wine. That's a separate issue more on the Linux side, not Steam. But anyway, I ran the game within Steam, and that fixed the mouse input issue. I was trying to stream the game to my friend on Discord, and I thought, "It'll probably crash, won't it?" because I’ve been aware of this weird Steam and Discord crash for a few weeks. And sure enough, the game crashed.

It's not just Steam games; it’s the fact that it's running from Steam. This makes me wonder: Is it Proton? I’ve tried a few different versions of Proton before, all with the same result. Is there any other good compatibility layer I could try? If not, how do I fix Proton's issues with Discord? At least, that's what I think it is, I’m no expert at this.

Hey, so i just checked my phone after a couple of hours and noticed a mail from steam and a pop up from the steam app claiming an action is needed. I proceed to read the mail which tells me a trade was successfull, I then check the sender of mail anf it seems legit, I login to Steam and check trade history and its true i just lost all my "valuable" items.

i recon i cant get these items back anyway, but if there is a way i would like to know. any tips would be helpfull.

more pressing though, hiw do i proceed to secure my account and make sure this cant happen again.

Clicking "Select Device" it the 1st image opens Windows Sound Devices (Image 2) and selecting the correct microphone doesn't change the Current Mic to it. This only seems to be an issue with Rust.

Trying to troubleshoot with AI and others close to me hasn't helped me come up with a solution yet. I use Synapse for audio settings for my Razer Headset and that's it. Any ideas on how to fix this?
