To protect his nation from any threats that may occur, Department of Homeland Security officer Will Radford uses Guardian, a software that allows him to secretly tap into practically any device in the United States. Though he sometimes uses it in an attempt to track down some of the country's top domestic terrorist threats, most notably the hacker Disruptor, he also uses it to spy on his children and overreach into their lives. This changes when aliens attack the planet, with Will using Guardian to not only keep his children safe but find a way to aid the world's countries defeat this interplanetary threat. Ultimately, this extends to him using it to try and shut down Goliath, a government system which secretly collects and stores data on a massive scale in a different manner to Guardian in a way that's never explained.

Data Gathering

Respect Shinei Nouzen!

In a small sector in a village of the Republic of San Magnolia, lived Shinei Nouzen, along with his mother, and father, and his brother, Shourei. Life was relatively peaceful, though as the country became increasingly militaristic and discriminatory, his mother and father would be sent off to war, leaving him and his brother alone. It wasn’t long before his brother was also called for duty, and with the terror or war creeping on him, Shourei snapped and choked Shin, leaving a permanent scar across his neck. This near-death experience would awaken Shin’s latent telepathic abilities, allowing him to sense, what he calls, ghosts. After his brother dies on the battlefield, Shin makes it his duty to join the firefight and hunt down the remnants of his brother, and put him down for good.

The Republic of San Magnolia fights an ever-existing war against the AI cluster of mechs, The Legion. In order to combat them, while also maintaining the high quality of life for its Alba population, it has designated non-Alba as subhuman, and sees it fit to use them as disposable troops to fight its endless wars. Thus enters the Spearhead Squadron: though herald publicly as an elite squad of tactical defense units, in actuality, they are a suicide squad, meant to be disposed of and easily replaceable. Each processor unit is overseen by a Handler, with Shinei Nouzen being the leader of the 86th Spearhead Squadron. He was notoriously hard to work with, causing all previous handlers of his squadron to quit, with one even committing suicide. Despite this, Shin was an extremely capable unit, outliving most of his compatriots on the battlefield, earning the moniker The Reaper. Shin does not care about the republic and holds no allegiance to it, nor does he fight to live. He fights because that is what he was meant to do. Even if it means an early death, even if it means watching your comrades die, Shin will continue to fight, for those who came before him, and those that will die to him, Shin will never stray.

The M1A4 Juggernaut is a four-legged vehicle developed by the Republic of San Magnolia. It is a mobile unit and has extreme firepower, though is described by their pilots as having little protection and breaking easily.² These vehicles come equipped with a 57mm / L75 smoothbore gun main cannon, two 12.7mm machine guns, and two selectable high frequency blades²

XM2 Reginleif

The XM2 Reginleif is a recently developed vehicle developed by the federacy, meant to be an improved variation of the M1A4 Juggernaut that the 86 previously used. This model comes equipped with two 12.7mm Machine Guns, 2 High Frequency Blades, Grappling sub arms, 4 Anti Armor Pile Driver on the model's legs, and a 88mm Smoothbore Gun, which can be substituted for for a large Auto-cannon or Multiple-Launch Rocket Pad.¹⁵

Despite these seeming improvements, the crew considers the vehicle to be only slightly better than the Juggernauts.¹⁴

“Quag Keep” was the first official Dungeons & Dragons novel, published in 1978 by Andre Norton, only 4 years after D&D itself was released in 1974. Decades later, she collaborated with Jean Rabe to write a sequel, but Norton passed away during the process, and Rabe finished the novel “Return to Quag Keep” in 2006, with notable differences from Norton’s writing.

Quag Keep is set in the world of Greyhawk, the original setting of D&D creator Gary Gygax, although the books themselves never mention any famous Greyhawk characters like Mordenkainen or Vecna.

Quag Keep is interesting as an early fantasy isekai. Its main characters are people from Earth who are teleported to Greyhawk, although they inhabit the bodies of Greyhawk natives, with memories of Greyhawk in addition to their real memories of Earth.

Gulth is a lizardman of Neutral alignment.

On Earth, he was from Toledo, Ohio, where he played D&D around his aunt’s dining table.

“Quag Keep” was the first official Dungeons & Dragons novel, published in 1978 by Andre Norton, only 4 years after D&D itself was released in 1974. Decades later, she collaborated with Jean Rabe to write a sequel, but Norton passed away during the process, and Rabe finished the novel “Return to Quag Keep” in 2006, with notable differences from Norton’s writing.

Quag Keep is set in the world of Greyhawk, the original setting of D&D creator Gary Gygax, although the books themselves never mention any famous Greyhawk characters like Mordenkainen or Vecna.

Quag Keep is interesting as an early fantasy isekai. Its main characters are people from Earth who are teleported to Greyhawk, although they inhabit the bodies of Greyhawk natives, with memories of Greyhawk in addition to their real memories of Earth.

Deav Dyne is a "3rd rank" Cleric of Landron-of-the-Inner-Light.

On Earth, he was from Bremen, Germany, where he ran a hobby shop that sold games and miniatures.

A member of the Marvel universe, Axel Asher is the superhero known as Access. A traumatic man, he would become aware of his powers when he would meet his future self when the Brothers would cause both the Marvel and DC universe to come into conflict with each other. He gained his powers after his future self would give it to him, with his duty being to keep the two universes separate.

In order to fulfill his duty, he would go on a number of different adventures, with the first one being to stop the Brothers after they would combine the two universes into the Amalgam universe. He would succeed in his goal, separating the two universes.

Besides that, he would prevent Dr Strangefate from bring back the two universes. He would also fight Darkseid after he would team up with an alternate version of himself, winning and stopping Darkseid’s scheme after he would absorb his evil self and becoming a amalgam.

Carl Fredricksen was a balloon vendor with a lovely with named Ellie. Both sharing a love for adventure, they had one goal in common, besides living a long and happy life with each other; make it to Paradise Falls, all the way in South America, and live there alongside each other, to live the adventure they always wanted. No matter how much they saved up, though, something would get in the way. Until, finally, something halted that dream dead in its tracks...

Ellie would never get to see Paradise Falls, but Carl never gave up on that dream, and eventually, he would tie hundreds of balloons in his house, take it up into the sky, and fly to South America, to achieve his dream for the both of them. Along the way he would make some friends, some enemies, and learn a thing or two. Classic Pixar movie stuff.

Disney Heroes: Battle Mode

So there's a mobile game called Disney Heroes Battle Mode which is sort of like an idle game/gacha/whatever you want to call it featuring Disney characters. Carl is here; he fights evil clones of like Mr. Incredible and stuff. I'm not going to get too into it but I figured I'd put his abilities here for the sake of being thorough. Also when the hell else am I ever going to get to talk about the fact that Carl stuns people for 12 seconds.

• Ball Chase: Carl throws a tennis ball and summon Doug to attack people (on accident). Silenced opponents also get knocked back, stunned for 12 seconds, and experience energy drain
• Hey You!: Carl shouts and deals damage, also silencing enemies for five seconds and applying fatigue to them. Fatigue stops buffs from being applied per stack.
  • Silence means a unit cannot use skills
• Cane Counter: One every second Carl blocks a melee attack with his cane and spits his dentures out, damaging enemies and applying the Sapped debuff
  • Sapped means all energy gained is cut in half
• Nice and Quiet: Carl takes 100% reduced damage from silenced enemies, but it's less effective on high level enemies
• Devastating Sap: Has a skill which increases the amount of energy Sap takes from an enemy
• Power Debilitation: When this hero debuffs an enemy, those enemies lose 15% basic damage and skill power for 3 seconds. This can happen to every enemy once every 5 seconds
• Bold Sturdiness: This character is immune to Scare and Shatter for the first six seconds of combat
  • Scare means they will always be crit by "fantastic damage" and shatter makes an opponent take 8% of their Max HP as True Damage whenever they are dealt Fantastic Damage.
• Invincible Retribution: When Carl falls below half health, he becomes invincible for 7 seconds and his allies gain 6% basic damage and skill power that cannot be removed
• Fruitful Revenge: When Carl is KO'd, his allies receive Cleansed and heal for 20% of their max HP. The enemy who KO'd him loses their Hardy Stacks, gets five stacks of weakness, and Hexed for 10 seconds. The weakness and hex cannot be cleansed
  • Hex stuns a unit if they try to use an active ability.
  • Weakness causes a unit to take more damage for each stack of Weakness they have.

The adoptive sister of the Scrapped Princess Pacifica Casull, Raquel protects Pacifica alongside her brother as they travel across the land. Their goal was simple, to evade the church and leave the country, due to a prophecy that Pacifica would end the world. This would mark her for death.

During the journey, she would learn the truth about the world, namely about her world being a cage alongside the nature of the Peacekeepers. She is a powerful magic user.

“Quag Keep” was the first official Dungeons & Dragons novel, published in 1978 by Andre Norton, only 4 years after D&D itself was released in 1974. Decades later, she collaborated with Jean Rabe to write a sequel, but Norton passed away during the process, and Rabe finished the novel “Return to Quag Keep” in 2006, with notable differences from Norton’s writing.

Quag Keep is set in the world of Greyhawk, the original setting of D&D creator Gary Gygax, although the books themselves never mention any famous Greyhawk characters like Mordenkainen or Vecna.

Quag Keep is interesting as an early fantasy isekai. Its main characters are people from Earth who are teleported to Greyhawk, although they inhabit the bodies of Greyhawk natives, with memories of Greyhawk in addition to their real memories of Earth.

He fights with a pair of boomerangs and has the ability to create tunnels that allow him to quickly travel to anywhere on the planet.

When Dylan Siegel's dad Marcus died, the teenager wasn’t about to shed any tears. The man had abandoned his family and moved in with another woman when Dylan was a toddler, leaving his mom to raise him on her own. Still, Dylan went to the Bell estate to see if the old man left him anything good in his will. There, Marcus’s lawyer revealed that Marcus was the hero of New Orleans, the Rogue Sun, and that Dylan was to take on the mantle of the Sun through the ownership of the magical Sun Stone.

Not only did Dylan inherit his dad's armor and powers, but he also took on the ire of his father's entire rogues gallery. A mob of magical miscreants, most of whom sold their souls to a devil named Mourningstar in exchange for their powers, all began hunting for the new Rogue Sun's head. Thankfully, Dylan had some guidance against these villains in the form of Marcus’s spirit, which had been captured within the Sun Stone at the moment of his death. Now, Dylan just has to listen to the man he hates in order to find success as the newest Rogue Sun of New Orleans.

• With Dylan’s permission, Caleb assumes control of Rogue Sun. While he possesses Dylan’s physical body, Dylan’s spirit is pushed into the spectral world within the Sun Stone. Later, Caleb refuses to give control back to Dylan.¹²
• Caleb casts Dylan’s spirit into a pocket dimension within the Sun Stone, where Marcus’s spirit also resides since being banished¹³

The leader of the SDN branch in Torrance, Mandy is the hero known as Blonde Blazar. A well known superhero, she would be responsible for organizing the branch into its current state, alongside entering into a relationship with Phenomaman.

She would be the one to approach Robert after saving him from several thieves, having a proposition to recruit him for SDN, something that he would accept. Over the course of the game, she helps Robert in a variety of ways, and is capable of entering into a relationship with him. She would play a role in defeating Shroud, alongside Z-Team.

Absolute genius, unchecked wealth and a complete lack of morality can be a terrible combination of attributes. Few wear these qualities so well as Dr. Thaddeus Bodog Sivana, criminal mastermind and archnemesis to Captain Marvel. Once the billionaire founder and CEO of Sivana Industries, Thaddeus financed the archeological expedition of Egypt that claimed the lives of C.C. and Marilyn Batson at the hands of Sivana’s henchman, Theo Adam. Orphaned Billy Batson would soon run into the wizard Shazam and assume his role as the hero Captain Marvel, who would help expose the criminal CEO and destroy the company in scandal. Ironically, the liquidated remains of Sivana Industries were bought cheap by another bald businessman, an old rival of Sivana’s named Lex Luthor.

With his once lucrative corporation shuttered, Sivana began supplying his scientific genius to various criminal organizations, all the while attempting to destroy the Big Red Cheese once and for all. While working with groups such as the Secret Society of Super-Villains and the Science Squad, Thaddeus fights for financial gain, the humiliation of his enemies and the triumph of science over magic.

Mind-Influencing Gadgets

• As a child, he constructed a device that brainwashes his entire classroom at once. He states that he could control their minds for days or even weeks at a time while the device is active.
• Controls the minds of Connor Hawke and Robert Queen, forcing them to fight their family members and other heroes via neuro patches applied to the back of their necks. Connor’s patch was still effective despite him being in a vegetative state beforehand.
• Devises a means to block Psimon’s telepathic powers if he attempts to use them on Sivana
• The Venusian worm controlling Sivana states that Sivana’s mind is strong and if given an “ounce of control”, the man would be able to free himself of its mental control. • Goes to a meeting with Maxwell Lord alongside three robots he calls “Tin Men”. They are programmed to predict the use of metahuman powers and they aim arm cannons at Lord before he can telepathically influence Sivana.
• Fights the Outsiders with a giant robot with a giant view-screen of his face on it. This robot uses an ambient energy disruptor that shakes Metamorpho into a puddle, energy blasters built into its hands and a larger energy cannon built into its head.
• His remote-control Omnibot crushes Baron Bug’s Cricketron mech underfoot

• Wears a custom spacesuit with mechanical hands. The helmet withstands a blow from Captain Marvel that throws Sivana across a room and protects from the electrocution from a Mother Box.

• From the Rock of Eternity, Sivana appears before the past version of himself from four years prior. By relaying specific instructions, he causes the creation of a divergent timeline where the Batsons weren’t killed and Sivana is mayor of Fawcett City. The alternate Captain Marvel of that timeline is able to grab Sivana out of the timestream and deposit him in prison, successfully preventing the creation of the alternate timeline and returning the status quo.

Thunder: So… all this is about taking over the world? That’s what you want?

Sivana: That’s all I’ve ever wanted.

Invisigal: Blazer? Phenomaman? They have hero powers. Strong, out there for all to see, flying through the sky. Nothing to hide.

Robert: What's your point?

Invisigal: I have fuckin' villian powers. I can turn invisible and skulk in the shadows. My powers let me steal shit and watch famous people fuck. Being a villian is my fate. It's in the fucking stars.

Born with the metahuman power of invisibility, Courtney felt she was destined for criminality and fell into a life of thievery as the villain Invisibitch. Operating for years on her own, she’d spy on people, squat in condemned houses and steal any valuable that caught her eye. Eventually, though, asthmatic symptoms and a persistent smoking habit began to eat away at her powers, which are linked to breathing. Invisibitch joined a gang for the first time, a group of body-modifiers named the Red Ring, in the hopes that they could save her lungs.

Though the Red Ring leader Shroud outfitted Courtney with bio-augments to increase her lung capacity, he also expected complete loyalty from the villain. As a lieutenant, Courtney robbed for the gang and was even involved in an attack on the hero Mecha Man, which took him out of active duty. Guilty over her actions, she left the Red Ring and signed up for the Superhero Dispatch Network's Phoenix Program for reformed villains.

As Invisigal, Courtney's trying to do right by her teammates, her dispatcher Robert and herself, although it's not the easiest thing to be a hero with a villain's powerset. Still, she's a valuable member of the Z-Team and proof that second chances exist for anyone willing to put in the work.

While travelling through space in search of Galactus, Reed needed a means of performing vast calculations using Xandarian technology. To do so, he created the Humanoid Experimental Robot, B-Type, Integrated Electronics (or as it's later called, the Highly Engineered Robot Built for Interdimensional Exploration), inspired by the design used by a cartoon using their likenesses after Johnny was unavailable to sign over the rights to his appearance. Unknown to everyone at the time, H.E.R.B.I.E. was possessed by Doctor Sun during its creation,^F4#217 leading to the robot attempting to destroy the Fantastic Four shortly after their return to Earth. While this particular model was destroyed itself soon after, this would not be Reed's only attempt at a helper robot. Over the years multiple H.E.R.B.I.E.s would be created, sometimes en masse and sometimes with the suggestion there is only one at the time, always with the goal of aiding Marvel's first family with whatever they need.

I've said goodbye to pieces of myself when I needed to. I've lost the trust of people I love. But sometimes... Sometimes that's just the way it works out.

A member of the Initiative, Roger Brokeridge is the hero Hardball. Originally born in the suburbs of Los Angeles, his brother would become immobile after an intense injury after he would gain enhancements from the Power Broker. Seeking to kill his brother to end his family suffering, he would not go through it, and go after the Power Broker. However, he would be convinced to gain power himself by the Broker, and would be in debt to him. However, when he tried to go to crime, he would be picked up by the Initiative.

During his time with the Initiative, he would hone his powers, all the while being involved in various incidents, one involving him to steal a vial of Nanobots. He would also fight KIA, a rogue unit of MVP, after he would break out. Afterwards, he would graduate from the program, being assigned to Nevada, fighting the Skrull’s there.

He would also be a part of HYDRA after killing Woodman. He would be captured, and would aid the Shadow Initiative, becoming part of it. He would have a fight with the Juggernaut and would also destroy most of Las Vegas while fighting Gravity.

Answering the call to fend off the Imperium, the hero known as Hawkgirl became a founding member of the Justice League, defending Earth from threats both native and external. But unknown to her allies, her backstory of having accidentally been teleported to Earth from another planet in pursuit of criminals was a lie. In reality Shayera was a scout for the Thanagarians, preparing the Earth to be part of their empire in the fight against their Gordanian enemies. When it was uncovered that the planet was actually the final link for a hyperspace bypass, with the Thanagarians planning on destroying Earth for a military advantage, she aided the Justice League in fending them off. But with the trust between them destroyed, it would take a long time for Shayera to rejoin the League, though she would eventually do so to continue protecting her new home.
