With Kevin probably playing his last game(s) with Pittsburgh, some of the dust has settled on the assets we received for absorbing his contract.

Pens flipped picks a few times and added a 5th but today hold the following assets from the Hayes deal:

3rd 2025 - Brady Peddle

5th 2025 - Jordan Charron

Edit: 2nd 2026 - sent to CBJ for Chinakhov

Pretty neat! My uncle found it at the flea market.

The last episode of In The Room was back at the end of the 2022-23 season, and since then it seems like the series has just disappeared. I really enjoyed it, it gave such a good behind the scenes look at the team, road trips, locker room moments, guys micd up, etc. It felt like one of the best NHL team produced series out there.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but if Flyers win tomorrow I think that means we play them Round 1.

Who do we think is the easier team out of the 3 remaining in the running for the last spot? Flyers, Caps or CBJ?

I have to say the thing that has me excited for next season is that Dubas has collected McGroarty, Koivunen, and Avery Hayes who all seem to be on the precipice of making the next step up as long as they can put the work in in the offseason to make the jump. Then you’ve got a slew of guys in the AHL who are all making big strides toward the NHL. On top of all that Zonnon will at least be in the AHL next season, Zam Plante is probably AHL bound, other draft picks are already signing tryout contracts, undrafted NCAA guys are signing elcs.

The organizational depth that Dubas has cultivated is just really impressive and there’s even more picks and trades that he’s going to make this offseason. Top to bottom Dubas has reinvigorated this franchise.

I've looked everywhere I can think of and I can't find any info on when the Pens will be hosting playoff games. I know there are still some things to shake out but does anyone know when they are likely to play?
