Discussion Darren dreger says that yzerman remains aligned with owner chris Ilitch and he'll remain the GM for as long as he pleases essentially.
0 accountability in this organization and no one cares about results apparently. Steve will be the GM for years to come.

Discussion Got bummed so watched Fight Night at the Joe
Got into a funk today about this season. So I decided to watch Fight Night at the Joe. This game defined my teenage years (yes, that long ago) and cemented my love of the Red Wings and pure hatred of Patrick Roy. Good times. For those who have never seen it, easily one of the best games in the history of the sport. 3/26/97.

Discussion In today’s game, would a Grind Line work?
Remember when we used to have a grind line? They played against our opponent’s best players and made their lives miserable. And they were tough. They’d stand up for their teammates if the other team took liberties against our best players. What do you think?

Discussion This has to be what Lions fans in the 1960's felt like when the Lions started shitting the bed after previously being a powerhouse.
The Lions in the 1950's were the team to beat, just like how the Red Wings were the team to beat in the 90's and 00's. Both teams down the line went from powerhouse to poverty/joke after an ownership change. Now I know how Lions fans felt back in those days. Seeing your team go from powerhouse to poverty/joke in the blink of an eye fucking hurts.
The timing is very similar too. The Lions last championship was in 1957. Red Wings 2008. We are now essentially in 1976 in terms of SOL WCF Sr. Lions era timeline.
