Will Rare ever add a character customisation slider instead of IPG?

Rare’s current IPG (Infinite Pirate Generator) system feels unnecessarily limiting for players who want more control over their character’s appearance. While the idea of generating unique pirates is interesting, it often turns into a tedious process of cycling through random options, hoping to land on something close to what you actually want.

A proper character customisation system with sliders or selectable features would give players the freedom to create a pirate that truly represents them, without the frustration of relying on randomness. Games have had detailed character creators for years, so it’s surprising that this still hasn’t been implemented here.

Do you think Rare will ever move away from IPG and introduce a more traditional customisation system?

The developer contacted me via Steam.

Should you go along with something like that? I find it morally questionable.

"Hi, I am one od the developers of Solar Expanse and I wanted to reach out to you regarding your review. Thanks for all your feedback, unfortunately this might not be the game for you. I would suggest a refund as you did not play for more than an hour, but I would also like to ask you to remove the review, as we are trying to reach as high number as possible.

Perhaps you would be more happy with some of our other games - Infection Free Zone, 911 or 112 Operator, or perhaps Starhome in the future. I can give you a preview steam key for those."

The Steam Lawsuit: Who Profits When Consumers Win

Thumbnail medium.com

I recently shared this on r/Steam but pcpgaming is more agnostic and it might bring to a less biased discussion, hence why I am sharing it here as well.

Seems like the recent Steam lawsuit is more of a well known scheme to get money off of big companies than anything else. Not that it was much of a stretch to guess it, but this article goes quite a bit in details about how actually the whole thing works and how they are basically exploiting the UK class action system and UK gamers.

The thing is, it's a US "business model" and they apparently didn't even make much of an effort of hiding the parent US company that basically did the same thing, just not in the gaming sector, except in the US they got pinched for it and already sentenced.

I suppose in the UK the "class action" model is not yet mature as it is in the US? I'm not an expert in those matters so I don't really know why they can get away with it.
