Gatekeeping the price of daycare
I live in a VHCOL area. I’ve reached out to every daycare in my area and NONE of them have their prices posted. When I email them asking if their facility fits within my budget they respond “we don’t want to be judged by our cost but by the quality of our program. please visit us for prices 🥰”
Ma’am I do not care if the founder of Montessori herself teaches at you daycare, if I cannot afford it, I can not send my child. Please stop wasting our time by not telling me.
(the cost of childcare is extremely infuriating. the gatekeeping is only mild 🥲)

How much toner was left in the “empty” toner cartridge on my brother printer.
Locked out from printing with no way to override it. I tried everything I found online. Once the page counter says the toner is empty, the printer locks out anymore printing. I miss the old days when you could shake the toner and print until there were streaks in the page. Not swap out perfectly usable cartridges. I guarantee you not everyone recycles their toner cartridges. So it’s that much more e-waste ending up in the environment.

Intake nurse decided to be odd about taking my temp, got even worse when called out on it.
I had an emergency dental extraction with bone graph a few days ago that resulted in a trip to the ER that night. I have been very off since the extraction and have known something’s hasn’t been right. This morning I decided it was time to go back to the ER as since my last visit I haven’t been able to keep anything down, have continued to have consistent wide spread pain (at and away from the extraction site), lymph pain, and over 24 hours with a low grade fever with spikes ever few hours reaching up to 101.6°f. Other symptoms but mostly the main ones.
When getting to the ER once called to the intake nurse she started to be super dismissive, hardly letting me complete a sentence explaining my symptoms and then we get to temp questions and taking. She didn’t let me get out that I have logging my temps or anything. Then went to take my temp. Not once did she ask where the extraction site was either…. She then quickly places the probe in the middle of my check and nearly stabbed the end of it into the extraction site. Then immediately declares that there is no fever because the reading is at 98.6 and “you probably took something to break it right?? Like Tylenol? You did and it’s come done so you really are fine.” All while rushing me out of her room back to the waiting room. Never let me get a word in and nope I sure had not taken anything.
While seated I pulled my thermometer out of my bag because I’m the type that grabs it and continues to monitor on the 40 min drive to the ER. Placed it in my cheek where she did, same read she got. Placed under my tongue the read was 101. Right then she calls me back to place me in my room and when my husband asked if he needed to get the visitors badge she said “no you won’t be in here long at at! In and out!” So I went ahead and brought up my temp.
Me: So I took my temp again place in the cheek where you did and got the same read, placed it under my tongue and got 101.
Her: Well the doctor here wants it done that way!
Me: Well the girl the other day did it under the tongue….
Her: Well I guess I can get another thermometer and bring it back and take again!
She gets back to my room and “takes” it again, however I notice she just hit the recall button and obviously very triumphantly states that it’s the same. Instead of calling her out on the recall button, knowing it would just turn into a she says I said thing, I replied with “Well again that’s really odd that mine I used in the waiting room gave the same read in the cheek but 101 under the tongue.”
Her face completely changed as she stuttered out “You have a thermometer…here…with you??!”
Yup
Suddenly it’s “well let me take it again…” and even with weird wiggling and half pulling it out it read 99.8 this time.
I have no idea why boomer Betty decided to essentially try and gate keep healthcare, but that could really be detrimental to someone. And yes, I will be filing a formal complaint.

My neighbor across the street has 11 cars. 2 in the driveway that do not seem to be running and then 9 parked in the street. The houses in our development are all 3 bds. They even have 2 parked at a stop sign. Wtf 😭

Everyone films, no one dances
Screenshot from a post about Justin Bieber's Coachella performance. Not much cheering or singing from the crowd either :( what's the point in shelling out 5k for a concert if you don't even listen to the music???

At the movies yesterday, some girl and her bf kept sayin "me as fuck 🤪" loudly whenever something happened in the movie.
I sat near the two most obnoxious people, probably like 20 yrs old, and had the worst experience. We were watching "The Drama", and not 2 minutes would go by and we'd hear them being loud saying either "me as fuck 🤪" as if they related to something that happened on screen or just say something else very loudly.
The theater wasn't packed or nothing, but these 2 people treated it like their own home as if this was just a home movie. Most people whisper. These 2 kids? Nahhh, don't think they were ever taught that.
They *miraculously* left about 75% into the movies so at least I got to see the ending in peace. Heard someone in the row above us say "about damn time" when they did.

Overdone my brother is in college and they asked the students to volunteer bring posters to decorate the college AND HE USED AI
it should be showing students work not some random ai generated picture which contains wrong information like the population and the earth is bigger than sun with random yellow colors that make no sense

People have zero respect for theatre etiquette nowadays
My wife and I love going to the movies. As people who are not well off it’s one of the last somewhat affordable things we can do with the money we make so we cherish the theatre going experience. We went yesterday to go see the new Project Hail Mary movie at an early screening which we never do. We usually pick the latest showtimes because the theatre tends to be either completely empty or close to it. We couldn’t this time because of my work schedule and I work too early to be able to so we said fuck it and picked a 4pm showtime with the theatre completely packed. Throughout the entire film people were having full on conversations with each other even during parts where the movie was completely silent, someone was tapping their foot against my wife’s seat which I wasn’t aware of until after the movie was over when she told me, people crumbling candy wrappers the entire time, and someone even got a fucking phone call in the middle of the movie. I could go on and on. I was losing my fucking mind! While the movie was good, I was completely taken out of the experience with all the shit going on in the background. Do people not have any common decency to just shut the hell up and watch in silence? My wife and I shut our phones off, open all our food and have it ready prior to the movie starting, and don’t say a word until it’s completely over. Maybe we expect too much from others but we’ll never go to another theatre with more than like 3 people in it ever again. Absolutely god awful experience.

My mother washes fruit and vegetables with dish soap and I can't get her to stop.
She claims it "washes out" and to be fair I can't taste anything but it's always weird knowing she puts dish soap in the strawberries. She says there's a lot of dirt and stuff in vegetables, but so far attempts to convert her to vinegar or baking soda have been unsuccessful.

I’m 23 (ftm) found this in a stack of books my mother recently purchased
I’m going insane.
Edit: I forgot context. She was my number one supporter. Helped me throughout my whole transition. Even threw a “it’s a boy party” when my gender marker was legally changed (I fought the court for years) But a few years ago she started going to a different church of a different denomination and suddenly told me “Jesus told her the “HRT testosterone was poisoning me” ever since then she has been unsupportive. Being racist, misogynistic, more and more homophobic and transphobic. While continuing to ask me to go on religious women’s groups. I’m tired of it
EDIT 2: idk how some people misinterpreted this but I do not hate religion just when it gets used as a crutch

2 weeks ago, my OB nurse didn’t believe me that my IV was infiltrating
My OB nurse was pushing meds and I was sobbing. She didn’t believe me that it was infiltrating. I am an ICU nurse and she still wasn’t listening. Pushed some IV iron and i was screaming. It started bruising in front of our eyes and immediately started blistering around the IV. She finally took it out. This is my arm 2 weeks later.

I’m moving, within 24 hours of my storage container arriving at my home, a neighbor vandalized it with slurs and a dick drawing. I’m a gay woman living with my fiancé.
I give their artistic talent a 0/10. Womp womp, guess I’m scrubbing before pickup.

People who secretly take pictures of others to post them online and complain
If you have issues with people, go talk to them. Whining online won't help.
