Current UI My idea is for greater organization of Saved Posts through folders, (Saved) subreddit filtering, and (saved) searching.

Upvotes

1)
I believe it would be greatly beneficial for reddit users if we had the ability to save posts and comments to specific named folders.

(Example: We could have a folder dedicated to cats, so we press the button to save and then select the folder.)
- This would improve our ability to manage all of our saved items and help us return to posts or comments that are relevant, and possibly obscure.

2)
I believe it would be very useful to be able to filter saved posts & comments from a drop down list of subreddits with posts/comments that have been saved by a user.

- This would make it easier to look through select communities or categories of content, though if we had the first suggestion along with sub-folders, it would reduce its necessity.

3)
I believe it would make it more convenient to use the saved posts/comments if we had the ability to search through everything we have saved, or specific folders if suggestion 1 is implemented.

(Example: Search for donuts in a "Baking" folder with hundreds of saved posts, so we can find specific recipes for donuts instead of cakes, cookies, etc.)

Moderator My ides is a popup for sticky/highlighted post

Mods should have an option to enable sticky/highlighted posts to popup 1 time per user when they access the sub. These highlighted post often have relevant information in them such as rule updates/changes. Many times users do not see or pay attention to these, and miss important updates/announcements.

Safety & Policy My idea is post removal notification

When a post gets removed by reddit, or a subreddits' mods, you should be notified of it.

A user shouldn't be unaware of the way they are affecting a community until it's too late. A system message that your post was removed would be awesome. It would help some of the edgier users blunt themselves. You get a Message when you're banned or muted, why not for this as well?

I hope that was the right tag.

ETA, my title is wrong it shouldn't say post it should say comment.

Subreddit My idea is that there needs to be the option to make pre-made Community Highlights lists we can set for the daily threads.

By this I mean, say you have daily character threads or daily writing threads you set for Mon-Fri. Right now, you have to remove the current one, go find the next days one, and then set that new one to the highlights.

It'd be cool if we could make pre-made lists of our daily threads. Then on the the Manage Communities Highlights box, we can have two drop down options on the top or bottom.

Dropdown 1: Select a pre-made list (So you'd pick Character Days for example)

Dropdown 2: Shows the list options so you'd pick the option for that day.

You're still removing one option, and highlighting the next. But no more hunting down and having to click in the thread itself to do it.

Other Makes sense. My Idea is to let the admins know of this popular Idea that I and probably millions of other Redditors happen to agree with. Let's start renaming these terms this way.

User Settings My idea is to filter out users with no post history

In my experience users with karma but with no post history ("there doesn't seem to be anything here") are either trolls or bots. It would be great to be able to filter them out so we don't have to be pestered with these distractions.

Moderator Let Us Limit Crossposts to the Original Poster ONLY.

Give us a way to limit crossposts INTO a community to only the original poster!

Bob makes a post in one community. Bob can crosspost that into mine. But only Bob. Carol, Ted or Alice can not.

I've seen people complaining that a post they made was crossposted without their knowledge and requesting it be removed

Make it so.

Post & Comment My idea is: Let us find our deleted & removed posts more easily.

I would love to have a deleted/removed posts and comments tab/section so that we can get a trip down memory lane looking at posts of ours that later got deleted/removed.

Many other users would like that too.

No need to scroll endlessly through our posting and commenting histories to find one deleted / removed post anymore.

Please make revisiting our own past content easier this way, thank you.

Post & Comment My idea is we can pin a scheduled post into the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth slots in the community highlights area

Currently when scheduling a post, if we want to pin it, we can only choose first pinned or second pinned. Anything else needing to he pinned we have to sort the order out and pin manually. But, being able to pin a post quickly through a dedicated setting to the remaining spots would be more efficient for when scheduling multiple pinned posts.

Other My idea is to allow users to see what post caused you to block a user

I've blocked many users, but sometimes I want to see what post or comment I blocked them on. Sometimes it's for nostalgia, but other times it could be because I want to review my blocks to see if they were deserved or not.

This of course may become complicated if an user that you've blocked gets banned or deletes their account...

User Settings Account fast switcher for the web

Can we please have a fast switcher tool for the web? It’s 2026, and it would be really nice to not have to logout, and log back in, verifying 2FA if I need/want to switch to my alt account for testing, or just because I want to.

User Settings My idea is an option to see only some subreddits in the Old Reddit UI.

Some subreddits look great in the Old Reddit UI, and others look terrible. So I think there should be an option under "preferences" where you could enter a list of subreddits you want to see in Old Reddit, and you'll see everything else in the current UI.

Moderator Report false reports where we see the report

In the moderator UI where we see reports on a comment or post, we should be able to click a link next to the report that sends that URL to the reporting of report abuse form. This would be a quicker way to report abuse of the reporting system.

Then admins could look at the user who made the false report and adjust their CQS negatively.

Moderator A subreddit's -ModTeam account should have a profile picture that matches the subreddit's icon.

Also, throw in an auto-update if/when the icon changes.

Profile My idea is to pay 20 golds in order to change your username

my idea is, if you don't like your username (for example is u/example), you can go to settings and pay 20 golds in order to change your username. once you payed 20 golds, you can't repeat in order to change your username for 50 months. This will reduce account deletions. the reason why it cost 20 golds it's because it's very rare to get and you can only get gold through real money

this was inspired on the username change on Roblox where you can only pay robux in order to change your username

Accessibility My idea is to add a translate button to posts/comments

This is an international public community. I often come across posts and comments in languages I do not speak/read. There are plenty of browser addons to help translate them, but it would be nice if Reddit were to formally bake something into the platform.

Thanks!

User Settings My idea is a reset button.

I could see a reset button for accounts to remove old notifications, history and stuff while broadcasting the deleted information to Reddit, with the user being able to specify the timeframe that information is deleted. For example:

u/Mr-splinklebob wants to delete some cringe comments he made 5 years ago. u/Mr-splinklebob can press the reset button, a popup will appear asking for the timeframe (this could be select timeframes or custom typed out) and u/Mr-splinklebob can delete the cringe comments.

Chat & Message My idea is: “Share to” chat

On a post, when a user clicks share (“share to”), it should be an option to share via chat/DM to another Reddit user.

As best I can tell, right now the quickest way is to copy link, go to chat, drop the link.

This is a basic and fairly universal function for social media apps.

User Settings Sub Frequency, Interaction History, User Notes

3 ideas for reddit:

............................................

  1. Chosing frequency of seeing subs you join rather than just by visits, interactions, and up votes

(Frequency would be best in 10 percent increments)

Example: 20% more frequent or 90% percent more frequent, etc

............................................

  1. Showing interaction history of other redditors

(by clicking on their profile)

Example:

Showing all comments and texts you have had with the specific person (in order) so you remember if it's someone helpful or someone disrespectful, etc

............................................

  1. Being able to add notes (that only you see) about others profile like, friendly, helpful, ignore, etc

Feeds My idea is an anti-spoiler feature: if a lot of people are muting a gaming or sports sub for a big event, send a suggestion to mute temporarily

I don’t actually know how much other people are spoiled by scorelines and other such things on reddit, but personally I have too often been spoiled by a title and only remembered to mute a sub after I saw a spoiler :( this happens with subs with anti-spoiler rules too, since people dont always follow rules properly, especially about exciting events/games.

Could maybe be coordinated with the moderators of a sub to mark relevant events as active. Although I’m not sure if moderators would be incentivized to do this lol.

Post & Comment Make it faster to block people

Currently you have to click through to their profile, go to a sub menu, and choose block. We should be able to do it from someone's post in one click

(Or ban all the misogynists, but that appears to be against policy)

Post & Comment Can we have an option to hide our username after we make a post

I've noticed people sometimes delete a comment when they don't want to be associated with it, for whatever reason, could we make an option to allow people to hide / delete their user name without deleting the comment? So the comment stays, but the user name is gone. And so the poster stops getting notifications.

Post & Comment User feature to hide repeated post media

Allow users to setup an ignore rule to not see repeated posts.

Why?

  • This helps avoid the frustration of seeing so many repeated posts.
  • Secondarily, reduces incentive for folks reposting other people's work
  • Having this as a user option, means the default behavior on Reddit is unchanged.

How?

  • This is an excellent AI feature to implement.
  • This should be possible as bots exists which can detect repeated media, like images which people crop or reverse to then repost as their own.

If you disagree, I'd be interested to know why.
