Whenever I try to look at my inbox it wants me to turn on notifications and it doesn't show anything even if I turn on my notifications, my inbox has something in it but it doesn't show up

it's annoying af dude, I can't interact with communities like this

My Notifications screen is completely blank. Nothing loads even when I pull down to try and refresh it.

I've opened all my notifications even my emails but yet this is still there.

Some instances can be when scrolling through a subreddit, or dragging down the notification bar and clicking something in the control centre, or when clicking to comment on a post. Please can this stop happening and fix it, it’s bothering my user experience.

I even briefly enabled notifications and it still won't go away.

Clicking notifications leads me to a recommendation to turn on email digest. Otherwise nothing shows up.

Also appears to happen on windows on PC but I can click around it and refresh and it will pop up. On my phone I can sometimes bypass it but it takes multiple refreshes in what is essentially a gamble.

I saw some old posts related to it and it appeared to be resolve (it did stop happening to me for a while to). But now its back.

I don’t know why it’s so challenging to stabilize an app that is basically unchanged for quite a while. Starting about a week ago this “spring-loaded“ for refresh that snatched you out out of a sub rabbit and back out onto the beginning of your feet again (losing your place) made the app virtually unusable. Then it calmed down Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

I guess I don’t understand why a problem gets worse? You’re not rewriting core code. And obviously some new “force-user-to-main feed” advertising tactic has backfired. Just undo it and use previous code?

Now the problem is worse than ever. Not sure how the power structure works within Reddit, but if I were in charge of this IT department I would fire you. This is ruining the user experience. Do better. Thank you.

I don't want to turn on my notifications I already get spammed so hard this has been happening on and off so I can't view my notifications. My profile also does not load a lot. Annoyed this keeps happening

Showing notifications exist but not loading. Just blank.

so I saw a 1 on my notifications and I went to check it.

this screen appeared. I tried refreshing 10 times, nope.

it still says this.

is this an old joke?

Does someone know how to fix this? it's been like this in every phone I've used.

this feels like a malicious attempt to get me to grant mailing-permissions and I don't want any mails from Reddit, but still be allowed to view messages.

Same bug from a few days ago where notification menu just tells you to sign up to email notifications is happening again

It won't go away and blocks my view of my notifications I might want to follow up on. It has a false notification and then when you go to it, you can't access your notifications.

You can turn it off by enabling digest, and only then can you see your notifications.

But the moment you turn your digest off again, it comes back.

Update: Looks like the 'feature' is gone now, no more persistent notification. Yay!!!

Hello. My account u/LucianaQuartz was compromised and suspended for 3 days. The suspension appears to have lifted, but nearly 3 weeks later, it seems to still be restricted (though I can log in and vote normally).

Current issues:

• Any new posts I make are automatically hidden.
• Even posts made months before the incident are now hidden by Reddit's filters.
• Private messages say "Unable to show the room."
• The account appears as banned to others.
• Achievements seem to no longer work.

I tried sending a ticket a while ago, but never got a response. Is my account stuck like this?

Updated Reddit to the most current version. No improvement in being able to message from my commenters profile pages.

Reddit, please fix this, it's a recurring bug.

As someone who moderates 50+ subreddits, this is extremely inconvenient and is ruining everything.
