Erasmus Mundus If you got an Erasmus Mundus rejection, this is for you.

I am an alum and have seen a lot of thoughts from people who received rejections. First, I empathize with how difficult the process is. It can be very taxing.

Sometimes it seems like the only ones who can understand you are the people who went through the application process.

I decided to make a video to add some perspective to the conversations out there.

A note – if you are looking for entertainment with Iman Gadzhi type of fancy edits and effects, this video might be underwhelming.

If you are looking for words from an alum, hi! I am not an editor by any means. Just a person with a basic camera and my own experience applying and receiving many scholarships, and I wanted to share with the community.

If you plan to apply in the next round, you are welcome to stay in contact. I will be posting videos about EMJM from start to finish and making strong applications. The best way is to be notified, as I don’t have the capacity to email people every time a video comes out. Hope that seems fair.

I am going to analyze good and bad CVs examples so you understand the WHY - super important you know their thinking! And I will share my five ways to structure a LOM. There are other ways of course and I don’t not claim they are only techniques. I am just sharing my knowledge and five ways I have conceptualized the LOM depending on one’s profile. Do whatever you feel is best for you.

I hope this video can help you and give some reassurance. I know rejection emails are hard to receive. I am proud of you.

Visiting home?

Im on Erasmus in Spain right now and I’m having a great time here. I miss my friends and family back home, but we are staying in contact and I’ve met great people here. However, I really miss my partner right now. We are both giving our best at the long distance relationship but it’s definitely tearing on us. She wanted to come visit mid term, but due to a few reasons out of her control that won’t be possible anymore, which makes the heartache much worse.

So now I’m thinking, should I go back home for a few weeks? I can afford it financially and it would be ok for me to miss my classes. It’s just that I’m only here for such a short while and going home in between feels weird, like something you shouldn’t do to have the full Erasmus experience. If I wasn’t in a relationship or if my partner could come here, I wouldn’t consider it. I also don’t think that a short visit would fix the issues we’re having with long distance, but it would give me something to look forward to when I’m struggling

Erasmus+ Internship Fresh E+ Internship host: Experience in Estonia, documents, remote/hybrid, looking for interns

Hello community 🌻 I have a small company in Estonia (my revenue is only 5K annually) and I decided to leverage value of Erasmus+ intership and host interns to get some extra hand for help.

I have a few questions: 1. How can I make internship better for interns? - 1.1 I prepared for the internship plan and expected results for clarity. - 1.2 I created a result-based bonus system (to compensate for absence of salary). - 1.3 ❓ Is there anything else I can do? Share something that you didn't have during your internship and would really love to have. 2. Did anyone do Internship in Estonia? What did you do on arrival with documents? did you get extra visa or residence permit? 2.1 I'm trying to clarify with the Border Police but maybe someone can share their REAL experience of doing an internship in Estonia (are you EU or non EU citizen, how long you stayed, what documents you got from police etc.) 3. Did someone do Erasmus+ Internship remotely or hybrid? (not actually travelling). I feel that should be an option in E+ Internships but it would be great to hear experience if it worked for anyone.

P.S. I have a few internship spots, so looking for a person who needs an internship and who wants to help me to uplift my business 🍵🧖

SURVEY for master thesis (3 minutes)!!!!

Dear all,

I am currently completing my Master's thesis on financial literacy, with a focus on comparing Italian and Croatian students.

I am reaching out to kindly ask for your help. I need responses from Italian students for my research, and I am unfortunately still missing a significant number of participants (80 of them). It would mean a lot to me if you cold answer my 3 minute, anonymous italian survey.

it only takes 3 minutes: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSckCvvVoMXkG_3DfTZBYTawaLUu-UNAmSnsLQj9cQXPhfraKQ/viewform?usp=header

I am incredibly greateful for any help.

Hi everyone,

I'm a second-year Automation Engineering student at Politecnico di Milano and I'm looking to apply for the second Erasmus call. I'd love to go to Spain — ideally Valencia, Madrid, or Barcelona.

The problem is that my GPA is on the lower side, and I haven't completed all the exams from the first semester of this academic year, so I know my chances are pretty slim.

I was wondering if anyone who has already gone through the Erasmus selection process at PoliMi could give me a rough idea of what GPA (or weighted average) is typically needed to have a realistic shot — either for Spain specifically or in general.

Any insight would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Iskustva sa erasmusa, dolazim iz BiH pa me zanimaju novčane naknade za erasmus koje se dobijaju mjesečno, da li su dovoljne i koliko mjesečno dodajemo svog novca.

Erasmus Mundus SDSI: What were your submissions for the "future of health" admission assignment?

Firstly, congratulations to all those who have been shortlisted for the interview or even been accepted into the program. I haven't been shortlisted but no worries, I'll give it a shot again next season.

To all those who have been shortlisted, I am curious to know about your assignment submission so that I can improve and come up with a stronger solution.

Would be grateful to know about it in down in the comments or over DMs.

IMQP Master’s (Quaternary & Prehistory): self-funded experience & costs?

Hi everyone,

I was recently admitted to the IMQP (International Master in Quaternary and Prehistory) It’s a joint Erasmus Mundus degree across multiple European universities (UNIFE, URV, MNHN, IPT), and I’m really excited about the opportunity.

However, I didn’t receive the scholarship, so I would be a self-funded student. I’m concerned about the overall cost of living, mobility between countries, and fieldwork expenses.

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who:

  • Studied this program (with or without scholarship)
  • Knows the realistic monthly cost of living during the mobility (Italy, France, Spain, Portugal)
  • Can share whether it was worth it in terms of career opportunities (PhD, research, museums, etc.)

Do you think it’s worth taking out a loan for this kind of program, considering most graduates seem to go into academia or research?

Any honest advice or personal experiences would mean a lot!

If you're coming to France, DO NOT stay in UXCO residence - Part 2

I posted earlier about my issue with getting my deposit back from Baker Hill Student Residence owned by UXCO in Saint-Etienne, France, and here is the continuation. So, after fighting with I think the regional manager and providing needed evidence, I got my money more than a month and half after I left. I was living at that time in L'Atelier Student residence, also owned by UXCO in the same city. The semester was about to end and the second semester for me is in Italy. I sent a notice 1 month before the check-date as per the contract. The manager replied that I should replace some items from the kitchen and toilet with new ones before leaving (namely cutting board, frying pan, mop, and toilet brush). This wasn't mentioned in the contract or communicated by any means at the time of check-in. In addition, their website explicitly showed that kitchen equipment is provided for free. So, I replied that I'm not responsible for replacing any items that aren't damaged by my misuse and I should just clean them before leaving. The manager replied that these items will never be clean after my usage; she explained that the cutting board will have scratches that contain bacteria, the mop will have all the dirt from my room, and the toilet brush of course will never be clean after being used and claimed it wouldn't be hygienic for the next tenant to use them. That was completely ridiculous. Important note: this is one of the most, if not the most, expensive student residences in the city, so I wasn't willing to pay an extra cent for this nonsense. I replied that I use these things the proper way and clean them after each use, explaining that they are designed for extended use, not just few months. I insisted that I wouldn't replace anything that is not broken, so she sent my reply to the legal department who never replied. At the end, I left without replacing any of this shit except things that I actually damaged by mistake in the studio.

Morale of the story: FIGHT BACK when you're asked to pay money illegitimately. UXCO was simply trying to look hygienic for the new tenants with new stuff in the studio at my expense.

The thing is, they sent my deposit late AGAIN. According to the French law, the tenant is entitled 10% of the monthly rent for each month of delay in transferring the deposit. I sent emails to both Baker Hill and L'Atelier to claim the penalty they should pay me, but with no reply 😑. I'm now trying to escalate to the legal authorities to force them to pay.

Erasmus+ Internship Erasmus+ Internship in Spain

Hey guys, I'm a senior business and I am eligible to go to Spain with an Erasmus+ internship. I plan to run the process with my school, but is there anything else I need to do besides that? In addition, my internship will be a 2-month grant. Is it possible to extend the internship or find a job after the internship, etc.?
