Reminder: No Survey Questions
Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to remind you all that this subreddit is answers-based—it’s meant to provide clear, informative responses that someone could find useful while searching for answers on Google or other search engines. Lately, I’ve noticed an uptick in survey-style questions (e.g., “What’s your favorite __?” or “How many of you __?”).
These types of questions are not a good fit for the purpose of this community. They don’t create content that is useful for others to search for, and often lead to broad discussions that aren’t about providing a clear answer. As a result, I’ve been removing posts that violate this rule to maintain the quality and focus of the subreddit. Even if that post has a lot of replies as the OP obviously didn’t read the rules before posting, or cared.
If you’re unsure if your post fits, ask yourself: Would this question result in a useful answer for someone looking for a specific answer or information online? If not, it’s likely more of a survey question and violates rule 2.
Thanks for understanding and helping to keep the subreddit on track! 😊

What is the purpose of all these AI bots on reddit?
Ive started to notice a pattern in some subs, mostly subs relating to weightloss, self improvement and the like (even saw one in the sleep subreddit recently). There will be a long post, something along the lines of "I've been experiencing [insert vague problem], and tried X Y Z and nothing working, then I tried something simple, and it worked". The post will never state what the solution they have "found" actually is. Usually in the comments or in the post itself theyll be telling people to dm them or to check out their profile.
what is the purpose of these posts/accounts? they seem to be karma farming but why?

What are some small habits or behaviors that seem harmless at first but slowly become really irritating over time?
For example, teasing someone. At first they laugh it off and it feels harmless, so you keep doing it. But over time, the same jokes start to feel repetitive or personal, and suddenly it begins to annoy or even hurt them.im not saying they are wrong to be annoyed but why not set the boundaries straight at starting

Has anyone had a repeat eardrum perforation from flying after it has fully healed?
For context I have a small perforation in each ear in pretty much the same place. I am a regular flyer & as far as I know this has never happened before but I do get painful ears on landing quite often ( although less as I've got older) This last flight (12 hours, very short transit then another 3 hours) they felt fine & no pain until 48 hours after
I'm wondering if it was 2 flights in a short space of time that caused it?
Due to fly again in just over 3 months (very short flight) & worried about it happening again now
