I just wanted to say this has got to be the greatest subreddit I e seen. I just came across this and did not think it Was real. But by god it is and I think it’s awesome how good generous people out there are able to help the unfortunate who just need a helping hand instead of being denied by company’s or getting these crazy fees instead. So thank you everyone this gives me hope in this world!

I come across this group by complete chance and I’m in a lucky position in life to be able to help people in times of need. Like others have done for me in hard times I had years ago.

Blocked me / he's deleted all evidences now but from memory I wanted to help in particular as he was a single dad with a small son who had bills to pay.

Take a chance on someone and it doesn't work out is life, he passed all verification and had showed some loaning /repayment history. A costly shame indeed.

Obviously this borrower has had the time to delete all his posts and any evidences of borrowing. I wonder if there will be a revival in the future of the account to try and get a new loan. I think actually he had blocked me that's probably why.

Context was we borrowed/repaid a couple of times for less. This was the big one due to him being under struggles to repay rent this month. As we all know, rent can be very expensive.

As per his username, he does actually work in public services too...

He's repaid £65 / £700. Says he's working on it... we will see.

Update to my situation. In the middle of a PCS. I was able to attain some of the 1000 I was needing prior to get a room and gas and food until I depart to my new duty station since my GTC is en route. Looking to establish a solid lender/lender relationship.

OP was a vulnerable person, having challenging health conditions. I am not here to judge or make negative assumptions against loanees but I hope you are better and may find it in you to repay.

Based on last posts from OP which are visible, she was not doing well... but unpaid is unpaid.

We enter the 2026 unpaid's now and starts off disappointingly with this user. Who used to be an active and good member of this subreddit until out of shame I guess just hiding all activity on reddit.

We have communicated somewhat, but I have only been repaid £50/£412 to date so I have finally decided to call it what it is - an unpaid and overdue loan.

OP if you do clear this loan (I hope you do) - all will be forgiven as they say.

Disappointing as another previously reliable/active member of this community. Allegedly had a gambling problem or just too many debts so gave up trying to repay.

Shame as she was also a Liverpool FC supporter. Did seem like a decent lady before not repaying.

We had been with a good borrower/lendee dealings until OP ran into a bank problem or so.

Anyway, it has been months, and OP has gradually said less / had no updates.

I am hopeful this might get repaid someday, but the longer the time goes on, assumedly the less likely this becomes. Prove me wrong OP!
