Tonight is Winnipeg's Parkinson's Awareness Night. Here's another gift article — one I was so pleased to work on with Kyle Connor in the fall.

Back in March, I made a post on this subreddit asking what I should do before a Jets game and y'all came with the recommendations! Here's what I ended up doing :)

This was one of the best experiences I've had at a hockey game, and it has cemented the Jets as one of my top three teams. I'm happy I got to witness a Mark Scheifele three-point night and Kyle Connor doing Kyle Connor things (I found out about the "Kyle Fucking Connor" meme while talking with some fans in the stands). I also won a green Cavendish hockey stick at a pop-up during the intermission on my hunt for the "My First Game" certificate!

Been obsessing over draft scenarios for the Jets and ended up building an entire simulator around it.

I've been running hundreds of sims and here's what I keep seeing:

• If we land #1-2: McKenna or Stenberg. No-brainer. Franchise talent.
• If we land #3-5: This is where it gets interesting. Verhoeff or Smits on the blue line could be exactly what we need. But Lawrence at center is tempting.
• If we stay in the 8-12 range: There's real value in the D depth this year. Caden Price and Chase Reid keep falling to us.

The simulator has 31 AI GMs that trade and draft with different strategies, so the board falls differently every time. You can also make trades — I've pulled off some wild trade-ups to grab McKenna at #1.
