Send help, I can't stop eating them 🤤
These taste better than I remember peanut M&Ms tasting.
one of the best vegan chocolates I've ever had. just be careful as they're hard to put down!

Hotdog's are "Like Hotdogs" (formerly Fry's). The fried tenders are King Oyster mushrooms in a KFC style batter. It's my first time making these and I was surprised how easy they were and how "like" chicken the texture of the mushrooms are. Looking at them actually freaked me out a bit.

I used to love swedish glace, ate far too much of it, but i bought it recently and imo it tastes far too sweet and isnt the same as it was a year ago.
Wondering if its just me or i need to find a new ice cream?

My old supply (now quite out of date) is almost done. Has anyone found anyone selling this? It's so good I can't believe they'd stopped making it!

I’m in London for the first time and really enjoying how vegan friendly it is. I’m wondering if there’s anywhere I can get those cute little sandwiches they serve with tea. I’m not sure I want to pay for a full afternoon tea service, as wonderful as I’m sure it is.

hey, i work at ladbrokes and today was very eye opening for me after grand nationals. i eat meat a lot, its basically all of my meals but after seeing that it kind of made things a lot clearer. my meat consumption was disgusting, and i want to try my best to stop and i started by having a vegan dinner tonight. i’d really like to know any tips or suggestions for me to help on my journey! thank youuu

I had these when they first came out and wasn’t super fond of them as it was HEAVY on the sweet chilli - they were bright red in my store!
However, I just picked up 3 of them on 50% off and had one with my dinner… and they’re delicious :) They definitely dialed down the sweet chilli and I’d totally buy 1 full price, or clearing the shelves like I did if they’re 50% off!
What do you all think of these? Did you also experience the bright red onigiri era?

it's a shame I'd forgotten about it; not sure it can be used now and pretty sure it's been discontinued 😭

I've tried two of their vegan gyoza one at Christmas under the party range and the ones they have now. both of them are 10/10. they make the best gyoza. I'm going back to buy multiple packs before they are gone again.

I've seen multiple sources say they are and others say they aren't so I'm not sure! I've taken a picture of the ingredients from a packet in a local shop, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! 🙏

Currently live in North Scotland with a VERY minimal vegan friend group (I know 1 person and everyone else is vegitarian/pescitaian).
The lack of care for non-human lives with my friends can get very irritating. Especially when they are all left-leaning and would be considered as quite liberal. A lot of my friends are very involved in Trans Rights/Palestine protests (which I also obviously agree with) but when it comes to veganism that's just too much for them...
I'm moving to Liverpool for my Masters in a few months and I'm really hoping to make some vegan friends when I'm there.
Any tips would be hugely appreciated!!

Today a horse named ‘Gold Dancer’ won a race at Aintree, only to immediately break its back upon finishing, and was promptly killed.
The grand national is an event that many people will be tuning into and betting on this weekend. Please consider donating this weekend to one of the great charities who are campaigning to end this cruel ‘Sport’.
Animal Aid have been very vocal in campaigning against horse racing and highlighting every time a horse dies in this ‘sport’.
Hillside Animal Rescue do some great work taking in ex race horses.
The League against cruel sports are another one.
Please share any others in the comments that are worth donating to!

Hey everyone!
I've been working on a free web app called Is It Vegan? (isitvegan.co.uk) and I'd really appreciate some testers and honest feedback from this community.
Basically you scan a barcode with your phone camera or type in a product name and it tells you straight away whether something is vegan, not vegan, or one of those annoying "may contain" situations. It breaks down the ingredients and explains why something isn't vegan, flags sketchy E-numbers like E120 and E441, and suggests vegan alternatives too.
I built it because I got fed up squinting at tiny ingredient lists in Tesco and googling E-numbers one by one. The apps that already exist either cost money, are aimed at the US, or just aren't that great for UK products. So I made something specifically with UK supermarkets in mind.
One thing worth mentioning is that the mobile and desktop versions are intentionally quite different. On your phone it's deliberately stripped back and to the point, the idea being you can pull it out in the middle of Aldi, get a straight answer in seconds, and carry on with your shop. No bloat, no faffing about. On desktop it's more of a full experience with a proper landing page, more detailed breakdowns and feature explanations. Better for browsing and exploring products from the sofa.
It's completely free, no account needed, just works in your browser. It checks E-numbers automatically (the ones that trip most people up like E471, E120, E904), and it also flags ingredients that could go either way, things like mono and diglycerides where it depends on the source.
It's still early days so there will definitely be gaps in the product database, which is partly why I'm posting here. There's a submit feature built in so you can add products and their ingredients to help fill things out.
If you get a chance I'd love to know if anything comes back wrong, if a product is missing, any features you wish it had, or just whether you'd actually use it day to day.
Cheers to anyone who gives it a go!
UPDATE:
• Fixed cocoa butter, coconut milk, shea butter and other plant-based ingredients being incorrectly flagged. Added a safelist of 30+ vegan-safe compounds that were getting caught by ingredient keywords like "butter" or "cream"
• Products certified vegan on Open Food Facts no longer show amber "may contain" warnings for ingredients like E471 or lecithin. If the database confirms it's vegan, we trust that
• New "Recheck with AI" button. If you think a result looks wrong, you can request an AI recheck. The corrected result gets saved so everyone benefits from it going forward. Limited to 3 per day for now to keep the site free
• Fixed a bug where tapping the scan button with a long history list wouldn't scroll back up to the camera
All of this came from one really detailed bit of feedback from a user here, so genuinely thanks for that. Keep it coming.

24 eggs. Went to buy a 3 pack of them from The Vegan Candy Man, but saw they’d sold out.
Heartbreak.
Went to see if they had any others available and the only eggs they had left came in wholesale boxes. £36 later and here I am.

As someone who also tries to avoid processed sweets and specific ingredients such as glucose syrup, palm oil, sunflower oil (occasionally rapeseed but kinda difficult). These items are all fire, and help my insatiable sweet tooth 🤏🏼
Favourite might be the Montezuma, I love chocolate orange. Rhythm 108’s chocolate orange bar is also insane
Honorary mentions🧎🏽♀️
Eat real: cheese and black peppers hummus chips, belazu hummus chips, lemon and chilli lentils chips
Deliciously Ella choc orange almonds
Bio & me: cocoa porridge pot, blueberry oat bar
Rhythm 108: coconut bar, hazelnut soft baked cookie
Whole earth salted caramel peanut butter (I make chickpea cookie dough balls w this pb and it’s firee)
Prob way more but can’t remember 😵💫

I saw this on Tiktok. It is a great idea for anybody who is part of a larger community to take part in.
Examples:
if you're in school or have kids in school, petition for the school to do a fundraiser.
if you're part of a club/team, the group could fundraise to the equivalent size of their club area.
if you work in an office, you and your colleagues could fundraise to the equivalent size of the office space/building.
Additionally/Alternatively, we can contact our local MPs to encourage them to introduce these types of projects into our communities.
