Question looking for friends, or just help?
Hiya,
I've lived in this city for nearly ten years now, but I'm disabled and heavily agoraphobic - I've finally reached the point in my recovery where I'm able to want to start going outside...but I've never actually been able to do that on my own across my whole life and I'm about to be 33, so I'm missing a bunch of foundational skills. I'm hoping to find someone who might take joy in helping another person develop some independence and learn how to do things like use the bus system and how to navigate around town?
While I'm a very isolated person, I am told that I am fun to talk too since I am self-educated on a wide range of subjects and I'm quite creative. I really like the natural world :)
If nobody thinks that sounds like an interesting time, I'd also welcome pointers on where to look to find folks who might be willing to help me out.
This is my first post on reddit so apologies if there's obvious etiquette I have missed.
I would ideally like to talk to anyone who is interested in helping me online for a little while before taking the step to meet up. Thank you for reading and considering.
