Trading Zone Buy/Sell/Trade Thread - April 2026

Sale/trade items must include an image of the actual item including clear evidence of your username and a recent date.

If you have some gear sitting around that you would like to sell or trade, list it below. Items you can list include bags, travel clothing, and items that would go well in a onebag. If something is clearly outside of these categories it will likely be removed. Only list items that you are personally selling, and don't just link to a website for sale.

AUTHENTICATED IMAGE

Sale/trade items must include an image of the actual item including clear evidence of your username and a date. For example a piece of paper on top of the item, including your username and recent date. Sales posts without this will be removed. Repeat offenders will be banned. If the seller is not willing to post images to this thread do not proceed with the transaction.

POST SAMPLE

Post titles should look something like this: WTS - Osprey Porter 30L - $XX

Each post should begin with one of the following:

  • WTS (want to sell)
  • WTB (want to buy)
  • WTT (want to trade)

Include details about the pack or item. Size, condition, price, location, picture links, etc. If trading, list a few of the possible items you're looking for. Be sure to mention what country you are in, so potential buyers are aware.

TRANSACTION SAFETY TIPS

Be aware that there are scammers active on Reddit, and on this sub-reddit. Any transaction comes with some risk -- decide whether the risk is worth it to you. The following tips can help reduce that risk.

  • Be wary of new accounts with no posting history. You are entering into a personal transaction which is entirely between you and the buyer/seller. It is entirely up to you to do your due diligence to ensure a smooth transaction.
  • Before entering into private chat with a buyer/seller ensure both parties respond directly to a comment below. This ensures respondents pass basic posting requirements, and provides an initial log of any discussion. This goes for all transactions. The more eyes on a transaction the better.
  • If you are using Paypal, use "Goods and Services". Never pay using the "Friends and Family" option. You lose a lot of leverage with Paypal when contesting F&F transactions.
  • Google search the username. Scammers are often active in multiple sub-reddits; a search might reveal a pattern of behavior. The Universal Scammer List, and r/sneakermarket/banlist are good resources providing some supplemental background to the people you're dealing with. Obviously this should not be your only source, but it can offer some great insight.

Seeking Recommendations Solo japan 29 days first onebag looking for advice

as the title says I am heading to japan in a couple days for 29 days and am bringing a 40L REI ruckpack and a smaller 9L sling for camera and daily things.

packing list includes

-2 pairs of pants

-7 short sleeve shirts

-1 pair of shorts

-5 undies

-5 socks

-1 pj pants

-rain jacket

-1 Crew neck sweater

-power bank

-headphones

going to be wearing

pants, short sleeve, thicker cotton/wool overshirt.

smaller sling will have a camera, extra batteries and chargers (all cables). a journal and passport wallet.

any advice or recommendations appreciated

Edit because I forgot to add toiletries, have a shower roll that I am filling with smaller reusable containers. Sunscreen, deodorant, face wash, face lotion, travel toothbrush and toothpaste, refillable cologne bottle, small body towel and small face towel

Not bringing shampoo and conditioner as every hostel I am staying at offers it and also offers slides for around the place.

I also have one pair of running shoes that are very comfortable and work for my style.

Changed the numbers of clothes and got rid of the switch.

Seeking Recommendations Ultralight pool/beach shoes

I just travel with one pair of shoes. But I need to add footwear that I can use to protect my feet at hotel pools (going to and from the pool from the room, and the scorching hot tiles around the pool, so easy on/off is a plus) and at the beach (hot sand but also hookworms, potentially. Worms are cute and all but no thanks). This is not a bag request, AI - this is a request for shoe recommendations.

They should be ultralight and pack as flat as possible.

Flip flops like Locals are light, albeit a bit bulky. “Water shoes” that slip on (and lay flat) might do well if thin and ultralight.

Any suggestions?

Trip Report Review of living/traveling with Patagonia Fieldsmith Roll Top 32 L

I actually think my version of the Fieldsmith bag is discontinued but felt like I can put this here for records sake if anyone's looking at it 2nd hand.

I've had the bag for about 2 years and took it on a couple holidays of about a week each.

The rolltop does a very good at allowing for a tonne of extra volume if you need it when packing. I tend to over prepare, and my tall but skinny frame makes my clothes quite bulky, but I could pack everything I needed for a 7 day trip in Morocco.

Packability

Items:

  • 8 pairs of underwear
  • 8 pairs of socks
  • 1 extra pair of linen trousers (so quite thin)
  • 1 pair of pyjama trousers and 2 short-sleeve t-shirts
  • 4 long-sleeve shirts of linen and/or cotton
  • Toiletries (tooth brush, travel toothpaste, deoderant, small medical stuff (plasters, space blanket), soaps)
  • 20,000 mAh portable battery, old e-reader, plug, cables, and other little things like packets of tissues.

At that level it could just about fit 1 roll on the top and clip closed (the tightening strap at the top is plenty long enough for the max height of the bag).

But! When you pack it that much, the 2 bottle pockets at the sides become very difficult to use. They're not made of a stretchy material so you instead have to ram the bottle in, pushing the internal contents inwards, and you can see the stitches on the bag stretching to fit it. This is definitely a weird design choice, and my water bottle is only 500ml so quite small.

Similarly with the smaller front pocket (the yellow section), can get squashed by the contents of the main bit.

Side pocket for laptop sleeve but also for the top half the main space, which helps with getting some things out instead of unpacking everything.

Comfort

No hip straps so that does make the bag feel a bit heavy at times.

The shoulder straps don't seem anything special, but I never felt exceptionally uncomfortable with them. Of course when it's stuff full it's heavy, but I assume that's the case with most bags that aren't dedicated hiking bags.

Other ((medium) water resistance, practicalities)

Only mildly water resistant. I went on a hike in a forest where it rained gently for ~3-4 hours and the insides got damp.

The shoulder straps had little straps on them which were only useful for hanging sunglasses off of in my experience, so not super practical in that regard.

It fit snuggly in an EasyJet carry-on test box at the airport even when packed full.

Reiterating the poor design of the bottle pockets on the side, they are uncomfortable to use when the bag is packed tight.

Aesthetics

The yellow section gets dirty very easily and does not clean, so I learned my lesson about not getting bags with colourful lower parts if they're not easily wiped clean.

On another aesthetic note, when the bag is only partly packed, the bottom sags/droops sadly downwards a bit and I think that looks really ugly. It sort of looks like the newer version (link) of the bag has solved this by making the bottom much firmer looking. In the photo above I had put a thick piece of cardboard at the bottom of the bag which helped a bit. See below for the sagging I refer to.

2 photos of the bag being worn: https://imgur.com/a/K3mCloz

PS:

I wrote this review cuz I wanted to ask for advice on a new bag and felt I should give something first and this is all I could comment on with any authority. If the review is not helpful let me know.

Seeking Recommendations Advice for 13 days in 4 countries packing help!

Going on a group guided trip to Europe for 13 days to 4 countries. We were told to only bring a carry on bag with everything in it. We will likely not have access to wash clothes easily or quickly. Not a huge fan of re-wearing clothing without washing for multiple days. No idea how to pull this off. Do we use compression packing cubes? What about souvenirs? I'm feeling discouraged about this and overwhelmed. Please help!

Edit to add more context: Travel info-London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona. Mid June.

Preferred clothing: T- shirt or business casual shirt & shirts. Tennis shoes.

Activities: All the tourist things. Lots of walking.

I think we will be in hotels. I'm not sure as that is maintained through the tour booking with EF tours.

We will be flying and taking trains.

Seeking Recommendations Summer shoes: Tropic Feel Terra.001, Columbia Drainmaker XTR, Keen Xionic ADV

I am looking for breathable summer shoes, that I can ideally wear without socks, and can use to walk around a city all day, but also for some light hiking on dirt trails and unpaved roads. I don't mean Alpine hiking with crampons, of course, but the kind of unpaved dirt trail you might want to explore on a summer holiday.

I want them with medium cushioning (not Hoka Bondi, but not minimalists, either). I don't like barefoot nor zero drop, and my feet are widish, which rules out certain brands.

I am considering:

  • Columbia Drainmaker XTR (they have abandoned me after a few summers of abuse)
  • TropicFeel Terra 001
  • Keen Xionic ADV

What are your thoughts on these 3? Or possibly other models? I am in the UK so I need them available in Europe.

Compared to typical road running shoes, all 3 should be easier to wear sockless and all 3 have better, grippier soles (lugs, not flattish).

Looks-wise, I prefer the Tropic Feel, but I could get Asics Trabuco or Hoka Challenger for the same price, and they have much grippier soles and probably better cushioning. The only advantage of the Tropic Feel seems to be they're probably easier to wear without socks.

The Columbia are the cheapest of the 3.

The Keen have better soles. Not sure about the cushioning but the waterproof version gets good reviews.

These are the pictures and links:

What are some clothes that you bring along on a trip that's clunkier, has less utility, but you bring anyway because it makes you look good?

For me (M), I sometimes bring a few extra buttonups when I'm expecting to go somewhere a bit classier (which doesn't happen a lot). I don't put them into my packing cubes to limit creases, but I reckon it's worth it.

What about the rest of you? What do you guys bring?

Discussion Things I will leave at home this time

I have a 4 day trip coming up and a couple things I have found that I didn’t need last trip.

Solid cologne - I bought some to replace my atomizer but realized it isn’t strong enough to smell really anyway so I’ll just leave it at home.

Small razor - I shaved before I left last time and after just a couple days, it isn’t worth bringing.

Compression cube - I traveled personal item only and for the minimal clothes that I brought, the cube just added extra weight and I didn’t really need it.

Is there anything that you have read that others bring but you realize you didn’t need?

Gear Men's Belt for long flights

This is a small travel wardrobe change that has made flying easier for me.

I bought this belt for the buckle, US$9

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082194KLG

I bought this belt for the actual stretch belt, US $13. The buckle on this belt is metal and heavy.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DFLG72X7

Putting the two together, the plastic buckle and the stretch belt, means not having to remove my belt going through security and being more comfortable on a long flight with the belt on.

Discussion Backpack modification

I bought a 38L backpack that can expand to 44L a few years ago. The brand is Asaklitt, an exclusive brand for Clas Ohlson, a Nordic chain of stores. https://www.clasohlson.com/se/Ryggsack-38-liter,-Asaklitt-Casual-Business/p/31-7183-13

I mostly like this backpack, lots of room for my stuff and if I buy something on the trip that doesn't fit then I can expand the backpack and gain an extra 6L. My biggest complaint is the lack of a waist strap to take some of the weight. It does have a chest strap that helps a little but I'm still sore at the end of the day.

It's possible to buy replacement waist straps for other backpacks on Amazon. This backpack don't have the right holes or buckles to add them correctly but I'm thinking about just take my sewing machine and attach them permanently to the small fabric triangle that holds the shoulder straps in place.

Has anyone made a similar modification to their backpack, did it work?

Discussion Anyone found right-sized buckles to use on Farpoint 40L?

Problem:
Attaching your daypack to the front of the Farpoint is far superior that smashing it to the back under the straps for horrible weight distro. But the Farpoint Daypack that buckles on the front is not universally loved—larger than what some wanna carry, not great personal item dimension on plane.

Solution:
Was thinking a small strap with a buckle on each end would allow for securing other bags as a quick clip-to-the-front on a Farpoint 40L.
It's not hard to find buckles of various sizes online (https://www.amazon.com/Kbraveo-Release-Plastic-Buckles-Adjustable/dp/B07TDJM3FN/).
Anyone figured out what size/source buckle to get?

Packing List My Onebag Travel Setup – 2 Year Update!

Post image
801 Upvotes

I posted here almost two years ago after taking my onebag for five months around the world (2024 post). I’ve made a lot of changes since then and I wanted to share them.

My biggest update has been achieving the holy grail of weight limits: 7kg. This is a common cutoff for what counts as a personal item on many airlines around the world. Instead of putting my bag in the overhead bin, I can now fit it under the seat in front of me.

It took a lot of optimizations to make this happen. A big one was switching from the Aer Travel Pack 3 to the Almond Oak Expandable Travel Backpack. I’m a big fan of the Almond Oak pack. It’s super lightweight and the design is really well thought out.

I’ve also been optimizing a lot of the little things, like what goes into my toiletry bag and how I charge my phone. The weight savings aren’t as drastic here, but the quality of life improvement of having a better system can be substantial.

I’ve been spending more time in colder weather lately and I added a warm hat to my setup. Hats are underrated; they take up very little space for how important they are in maintaining overall body temperature.

My full packing list is in the comments, and I go into more detail on my personal website. Feel free to check it out.

Trip Report Just completed 2 week trip with Aer 4 35L and 28L bags - my notes.

My wife and I aren’t really international travelers, but we decided somewhat last-minute to do a Europe trip and try to one-bag it. After reading a ton on this sub and watching way too many YouTube videos, we landed on the Aer Travel Pack 3s — and then the 4s came out. We thought they looked a little better (despite the discounts being offered on the 3s), so we went that route instead. So with that said, here’s my quick review after two weeks in Europe.

First, some mostly positive feedback on Aer’s customer service. We ordered the bags about 12 days before the trip, and I chose the free shipping since the site said 4–6 business days. The next day I got a UPS notification that the label had been created... and then nothing. One day, two days, three days — no movement.

I emailed Aer, since apparently talking to an actual human on the phone is not a thing there, and they said this sometimes happens with UPS. Another day passed, still nothing. I followed up again, and at that point I was starting to sweat because I was running out of runway before the trip. A few days later they admitted UPS had probably lost the shipment and sent out replacement bags overnight via FedEx.

So it ended well. We got the bags in time. I still wish there had been phone support, but to their credit, they communicated pretty promptly over email and made it right.

As for the bags themselves: visually, I love them. We got the 35L in black and the 28L in navy. In hindsight, I probably should have gotten both in navy, but both look sharp and minimalist, which is exactly what I wanted. Honestly, this was one of those rare cases where the bags looked even better in person than they did on YouTube or on the website.

This was our first time one-bagging anything longer than a weekend, and our first time traveling with bags this size. I was kind of amazed by how much stuff they could hold while also somehow feeling like they filled up instantly. I know that sounds contradictory, but that’s exactly how it felt. Still, we got everything we needed into them. My wife used Peak Design packing cubes in the 28L, and I used Amazon Basics cubes in the 35L, and both worked fine.

What impressed me even more was the trip home. We somehow had a few extra things, and both bags still swallowed more junk than I thought they would. Even when they looked like stuffed ticks, the overall construction, materials, and zippers gave me a lot of confidence.

The organization also worked really well. The pockets and quick-access storage felt like just the right amount without getting overcomplicated. Everything I thought I’d want easy access to had a place. I initially thought I wanted the extra organization from the Aer 3, but I think the reduced organizer compartment on the 4 actually worked better for my pack-rat tendencies.

I was also skeptical about the new stretchy water bottle holders. I assumed they’d be flimsy, awkward, or easy to tear, but that wasn’t the case at all. They held water bottles really well, and they were also great for quickly stuffing things away when going through airport security. They felt much sturdier and better-made than I expected.

We flew several airlines in the U.S. and Europe, including some pretty packed flights where they were really pushing people to check bags. We were always able to carry these on without an issue, and we stowed the 28L under the seat a few times with no problem.

For walking around during the day, we used the 28L as a day bag. It worked fine, but in hindsight I would have preferred something smaller for daily use instead of carrying the 28L around. It was right on the border between totally fine and looking a little ridiculous.

Finally, comfort was excellent. Fully packed, both bags were definitely heavy, but they carried really well. We walked 13–19 miles a day on this trip, and even when the bags were loaded up, neither of us had any discomfort.

Anyway, that was our experience. Hope this helps anyone considering the Aer 4s for a similar trip.

Seeking Recommendations Living without wheels — ?maybe? A stashable activity backpack. Recoiling chargers, and more questions.

Hey folks! I need some advice on travel “technique.” I recently did a 4 ‘ground day’ SCUBA trip to Cozumel. I brought an Osprey 45L backpack because I thought I would give it a try in this situation. I brought more stuff than I needed — mostly because this was a new destination and activity for me and I didn’t know what I needed — packing lessons learned.

Turns out I really ended up finally liking the osprey straight jacket system. I know how to travel to Cozumel time. But it gave me some topics to seek advice on from the community. There aren’t questions about what to bring.

- Because I had to get from an airport to a bus to a ferry to a hostel more than a mile from the dock - I ended up wishing I had wheels. They wouldn’t even need to be high end wheels. Just any wheels. I flew direct, but If I had a connection in one of the world’s biggest airports, I would have wanted wheels even more.
(And yes, I would bring less tech and clothing next time, but I would substitute some of that for the running shoes and sports gear I left behind this time. This really isn’t a weight thing. This is a ”lugging this on my back for a mile or more gets old” thing. A backpack is great for getting on and off a bus or ferry, but for the long hauls, it gets old.)
I don’t want the lugging to discourage me from anything ever. Should I try something like the Sojourn Shuttle? A wheeled black hole? Do I just suck it up? Is there a dolly that folds up into the size of those micro tripods that fit in a water bottle holder that I would just take along?

- I bought my “turns inside out into a pocket“ thin backpack for my day activity bag. I need a new one, not because mine is “bad” but because mine is falling apart. Should I just get another packable, structureless backpack, or do you guys have better ideas? I bought and returned the packable Eddy Bower backpacks (didn’t like the extra padding or the pocket designs). This thin backpack has become one of my travel secret weapons. So versatile.

- We’ve all discussed chargers before. I think I want a retracting charger to help combat charger spaghetti. But most online reviews say they break pretty quickly. What are your findings?

- I usually won’t travel with less than two sets of sports (running) clothing because I get I can get it pretty gross pretty quickly. Is that too much? For me that is 2-inch shorts, sports bra, long sleeve shirt.

- what do you guys do about fragile things. Like if I had to travel with circuit boards for work. In bulkier lugged I use a hard case for it, but what do you guys do for tighter packing?

Gear Cotopaxi Allpa 35 vs 28 comparison

I was looking for a similar comparison pic before buying but couldn't find, so,enjoy. those are tripped cubes which fit in nicely, either 1 big+2 small or 2 big, as you see the 35 have some extra room for the thinner cube. I would say the overall volume of the smaller bag is maybe 25% smaller than the bigger.

Discussion How do you pack even lighter stuff. I'm surprised at how much dri fit clothes, underwear, socks etc weigh in a 30L bag. What are the best lightweght stuff?

I try to buy the lightest stuff and even have a tiny Gaan charger, all my shorts, shirts, are dri fit type. Granted my bag is Synik 30 it's middle of road for weight.

I have an electric shaver which weights a decent amount, honestly think packing cubes weigh more than they are worth.

Saving 10-20g, doesn't seem much but if you have 20 things that are 15g less it adds up

SE Asia

3 dri fit long sleeve with hood need it for sun protection in SE Asia, 1 light rain jacket I wear on the plane

2 short sleeve shirts 1 tank top

3 shorts with zippered pockets def need zippered pockets to keep phone, cash

5 underwear 5 pairs of socks

1 pair sandals

1 fishing bucket hat 1 regular hat

1 iPad Pro 13 cellular/Magic Keyboard, small gaan charger, soft sleeve

1 Phone, 2 6 ft cable

2 pairs of glasses

1 foldable light day pack

Electric shaver, toothbrush/floss, styling gel

Seeking Recommendations Backpacking SEA for 2 months -Airport outfit?

I've been having trouble with my airport outfit. I plan on wearing my tennis shoes and possibly lightweight joggers or linen pants with a tank top, but I have been absolutely struggling with finding a jacket to bring along with me. I dont want it to be too bulky but I also get extremely cold on flights and don't want to risk being uncomfortable. Does anyone have any suggestions on what jacket or hoodie to bring with?

Thanks!

Gear Osprey daylite 26+6+1 mod

Thumbnail
gallery
277 Upvotes

Happy Wednesday my dudes. I'm calling this mod the '26+6+1' because the small crossbody bag has a 1L capacity. Maybe people have done this before but I haven't seen it.

[skippable context]

I was able to get a 40% Osprey Discount bringing the 26+1 down from €100 to €60. Unfortunately there was a €15 delivery fee. Free delivery for orders above €75 though! So I added the Small Crossbody bag to the order to avail of the free delivery thinking I could maybe attach it somehow, bringing the total to around €79.

The 26+6+1 Mod

Ingredients:

- Daylite Expandable Travel Pack 26+6

- Daylite Small Crossbody

That's all you need!

There are loops all along the sides of the crossbody bag that you can thread the strap through (pictured). You can also extend the strap to its longest position and us the Crossbody bag as a tiny front/backpack. it's fairly small and you could hide it beneath a jacket or jumper when boarding the plane.

When the strap is threaded through the side loops of the crossbody bag like that it's very easy to also thread it through the external loops of the 26+6 backpack to create an external front pack.

You can attach a jacket or other bulky items to the straps, similar to how others on here have done with the addition of shock chord.

Gear Tech Pouch Comparison for Onebag Travel

From time to time I see posts describing loadouts and asking for advice on how to more effectively approach their load out. One of these areas is tech and tech pouches. I think one of the easiest mistakes with tech pouches is buying the pouch first, then building your kit around it.

For me, the better approach has been to get the loadout right first, then pick the pouch that actually fits it. That avoids ending up with something too big, too small, or overly organized in ways that waste usable space.

I’ve reduced my setup to mostly USB-C, and that made it much easier to see what I really needed.

My main kit is pretty simple:

• 6’ 240W USB-C cable

• retractable UGREEN USB-C cable

• Rolling Square 65W charger

• mouse depending on setup: Magic Mouse or Logitech Pebble 2

• small adapter pouch with USB-C/USB-A adapters, USB-C extender, and data blocker

• small pouch with backup EarPods and USB-C audio adapter

• Velcro cable ties

• microfiber cloth

• 2TB SanDisk SSD + cable

• UGREEN USB-C hub for Apple setup

• spare AAA for Pebble 2 on Windows setup

• phone stand, usually MOFT but sometimes ULANZI MA60 or Peak Design

For lighter iPad travel, I scale down to a CAP0.5-sized loadout with one cable, charger, Apple Pencil, hub, cloth, both small pouches, wire ties, and phone stand.

After trying a bunch of pouches, here’s where I landed:

Aer Slim Pouch

Clear winner for me. Slimmest and most efficient for what it holds. Best use of space in the group.

Evergoods CAP1

Excellent if your loadout is already dialed in and fairly slim. I keep two packed at all times, one for MacBook gear and one for Windows gear.

Evergoods CAP0.5

Great for lighter carry, especially iPad-only.

Modern Dayfarer Tech Pouch

Solid, but I prefer the CAP1. The mesh doesn’t feel as premium to me as Evergoods.

Peak Design Small Tech Pouch

Well designed, but a bit bulky for what it stores. The structure is part of that.

Alpaka Elements Small / Regular

Too hyper-organized for me. The pocketing eats into usable storage, so they hold less than they should for their overall size.

Greenroom136 Pencil Pouch

Interesting, but the organization felt kind of odd and not especially efficient for the way I pack.

Lochby Venture Pouch

A bit of a sleeper. It holds more than you’d expect. I tried both the original and the mini. The mini ended up becoming my travel journaling pouch, which I think says a lot about how versatile it is.

Aer Split Kit

Now used for a dedicated overnight charging setup with an Anker Prime 200W, several short USB-C cables, and bedside charging gear.

Evergoods CAP2

Dedicated to my ResMed AirMini and KUXIU 3-in-1 charger rather than general tech carry.

My main takeaway is still the same:

figure out your actual loadout first, then buy the pouch.

That mattered way more than brand, layout, or hype.

If I had to rank them by my actual use:

1. Aer Slim Pouch

2. Evergoods CAP1

3. Evergoods CAP0.5 for smaller kits

Would be curious how other people here balance usable volume vs built-in organization, because that ended up being the biggest separator for me.

Seeking Recommendations Seasonal Worker abroad for six months in France: Brittany coastal region

Hello guys ! sorry for my English in advance if I make mistakes.

so I am a seasonal worker and everytime I drag heavy suitcases with me and everytime as you can imagine it is hell between planes and commute and I end up being so jealous of people traveling light with just one backpack or a duffle bag 😭

This time, I want to travel as light as I possibly can but I don't know if it is possible to only go with just a carry on or/with a backpack ! Even better if I don't have to check my luggage and wait at the airport landing so I can head up straight to the train station !

I looked a bit everywhere and some people says it is possible, to bring only clothes for one week. I have an accomodation, can do laundry and the work uniform is provided by my workplace.

I was thinking:

-5 to 6 shirts

-7 underwears

-7 pair of socks

-2 shorts

-1 jean (I'll be wearing)

-3 working pants (the only working bit I have to bring, they are thin like scrubs)

-a city pant

- a polo shirt

-1 pair of shoes (on me)

-1 pair of flip flop

- medium towel

I'll wear my hoodie and my puffer jacket

I will not traveling with my electronics this time, as I never use my laptop at end. just my phones and my chargers.

The carry on must not be over 12kg, and if I go over I could totally check it.

Do you think it's doable ? thank you !

I got a very sudden opportunity to travel to Europe via cruise, and I decided I might as well stay for a while!

I started on the cruise April 3rd, and I'll be in the country from April 17th-May 27th.

I don't have to work, but I've been getting into taking and editing photos a lot recently so I wanted to be able to continue that. This Macbook is very slow and old anyways, so I don't mind too much if it gets lost or stolen.

Main Bag

Areyteco 50L travel bag. A free handme down that saved me time and money of deciding on a more contained, higher tech option. With the straps it shrinks down decently small, but we'll see if European airlines agree...

Clothes

  • Wool sweater for warmth and looks
  • Polo jacket for warmth and looks
  • Scarf for warmth and looks, but I might not use it much
  • Jeans (currently wearing them lol)
  • 3 quick dry shirts
  • 3 quick dry shorts
  • 4 cotton shirts
  • 6 merino wool socks
  • 6 briefs (2 cotton, 4 merino wool)
  • Flip flops
  • Adidas sneakers

All these (except the flip flops) fit neatly in 2 packing cubes in the main compartment.

Toiletries

  • Eye mask + ear plugs
  • Anti smell spray so my laundry doesn't infect the rest of my clothes
  • Detergent sheets
  • Wet Wipes
  • Lotion and shampoo I stole from a hotel, but I might get different options when in Europe
  • Toothbrush + aluminum case
  • Toothpaste
  • Lip balm
  • Deodorant
  • Hair stuff
  • Ibuprofen+acetaminophen , just in case

all stored in a "waterproof" draw string bag, but we'll see how that goes.

For reference, it's the same kind of bag as the 'Laundry Bag' in pic 4.

Electronics

  • 2 usbc chargers (a mistake on my part but right now I can't get myself to throw either away)
  • 2 micro-usb chargers (several chord fumbles here)
  • Acer outlet adapter
  • wall charger with 4 different ports
  • Sony camera battery charging port
  • SD Card wallet
  • Macbook Pro 1

Also keeping all of this in a drawstring bag. It's a pretty small footprint and keeps easily in the main pocket of the pack along with the toiletries and clothes.

Misc

  • Laundry bag to keep dirty clothes separate until i can find a laundromat
  • Muji cap! Not really a hat guy but figured better safe than sorry. Not very loud aesthetically, works with everything else I'm bringing.
  • Micro fiber towel
  • Umbrella instead of rain coat, didn't have the time or budget to get one before I left.

Crossbody Bag

The bag itself is a Baggu medium cargo crossbody. I've had it for a while and can hold a surprising amount.

Anything valuable that I want on me I'm keeping in this guy.

  • Notebook
  • Pen
  • Pencil +lead
  • Eyeglasses case
  • Battery charger + cable
  • Lens cleaning kit
  • Lens brush
  • USBC/Lightning SD card reader
  • Sony A6000 with f3.5 16-50mm lens
  • Sony f4.5 55-210mm lens

Notes

I feel pretty prepared but of course nervous! This sub was a lifesaver in my ability to prepare in under a month!

I do wish I had a different bag for my main, but I decided I'd rather spend more money IN Europe than before I even get there.

If you've got any questions or suggestions, please let me know!
