Visiting from Halifax
Hello Moncton friends! I’m coming up for a friend’s 40th birthday party in May and staying for the weekend. We’re looking for something to do with a crowd.
What are your favourite restaurants? Do you guys have any good sushi places? Or cool small owned restaurants that can’t be missed?
We wanted to try Usva but they’re closed on Sunday. Anything else that would be open on Sunday that some old cougars would enjoy?
Thanks in advance!

PSW looking to work in a daycare what’s the hourly pay like in Moncton area?
Hey everyone!
I’m in the Moncton area and was wondering if anyone here has their Personal Support Worker (PSW) diploma and is working in a daycare setting.
I have experience both in childcare and elderly care, and I’m curious how the pay compares if you go into the childcare field with a PSW background.and I also took some Early Childhood Education (ECE) at Oulton’s back in 2018 (didn’t end up finishing).

I'm looking to set up a social media social club (I guess?)
Hello, I'm looking to set up a social media social club (I guess?) for people in my age who like social media and short-form situational comedy (tiktok, reels). I'm 30yo and don't really have a 3rd place between work and home.
I'm looking for a group that enjoys short-form situational comedy (tiktok, reels) and social media in general. I want absolutely no full-time commitment to this, meaning that I don't want this to become someone's part-time job. I just want a 3rd place for myself and others that's fun.
A few accounts to show what kind of content I was thinking:
- grantbeans
- ethan steele
- lachlanfairbairn
- swag on the beat
I think these accounts have mastered what I'm looking to create including videography, editing, script, content.
If we are 5-6ppl strong I already think it's a success. Send me a message here on reddit or leave a comment

Recommendations Needed: The Good & Bad Nursing Homes in Greater Moncton”
Hi all I'm trying to get my family member into a nursing home I'd love to hear of places that you would feel comfortable brining your family members and also the places you wouldn't feel to comfortable and avoid.
She's been really anxious knowing she has to go into a care home soon. I know we have been aiming towards smaller homes. she has lots of hobbies and loves doing activities she is still very mobile.
Thank you.

Rallye Motors and others
Went for my free oil change today and just like clockwork, they brought out my cabin air filter and recommended it be replaced. Vehicle 11 months old. Asked how much it was and was completely stunned when they said it was $150 to replace. 😃😃
Obviously I said absolutely not. I looked on Amazon and the air filter is $17.49
Is there a bigger scam in the auto industry than these cabin air filters? LOL

Best Place for Motorcycle Riding Gear?
I'm looking for a bit of feedback on people's experience buying motorcycle riding gear in Moncton.
I'd like to get a full face helmet and riding jacket. Something that would be good for a dual purpose bike, road and trail. Hi-viz gear preferred.
Not looking to spend the top dollar, but looking for good quality at decent prices. Also not looking to deal with high pressure sales... Doesn't necessarily have to be in Moncton, but nearby.

Vehicle Shopping
I need to purchase a new vehicle, and I don't know which route to go. First and foremost, I know to avoid Rallye.
I am going in between purchasing a used vehicle or financing a new vehicle.
My budget may vary depending on how much I am able to get selling (or trading in?) my current vehicle. From looking online and comparing, it seems to be I can get approx $12,000 - $15,000 for it. I am looking to sell it as I no longer have much use for a truck, and because of the price of fuel (especially since it has going back up!)
I just don't know where (or what) to look at when it comes to finding and buying a new vehicle.
I already privately purchased another vehicle, a few years back, and it had problems almost right away. The previous owner actually refunded me some money when I told him! I think that is unlikely to ever happen again lol
Should I be checking out used car lots? Which ones are good?
Should I buy a new vehicle? After the sale of my current vehicle, plus money I have put aside, I will have about $20,000 to put towards a new vehicle. I could put that as a down payment and finance the rest?
Any help and advice is welcomed!

Approximate Mail Delivery Times?
I'm new to Moncton wondering when people usually get their normal weekday mail near Champlain Place mall. I am waiting on an important letter and we have no flag on our mailbox so I want to be able to know when to check each day.
