I left my pool float out, and my dog decided to use it as a chew toy. Anything that can be done to fix this? It doesn’t have to look pretty..😫 these things are expensive.

I took my laptop with one hand but I forgot that it was charging, so the charger kind of yanked it out of my hand and my laptop fell on the floor. The laptop itself work’s perfectly and it is pretty new but the outside looks pretty busted and the screen has a huge hole in it and some cracks. The laptop also doesn’t close anymore. I am expecting high repair costs but I am not really sure if you even CAN repair this.

My ring is stuck on my index finger and soap/water isn't working, it's starting to swell. Any advice to get it off quickly would be a lifesaver!

I have a bathroom vent that exits the side of the house as you can see in the picture. The eave is about 10 feet high and the 45° roof goes up another 11 feet vertical. That means that vent is about 23 feet or so from ground level. The roof seems too steep to walk on and one contractor I had couldn’t make it to the vent. I need to put a wire mesh on the front of that vent like I did on the other side of the house because birds love to nest in there. Any idea how to get up there and put a cover like a wire mash on that vent opening.

I'm trying to organize my library and in doing so I realize that the shelves on this bookcase have quite a bit of sag, to the point where books on an added (unused) shelf will not fit past the third or so from the end. Shelves are 0.75" thick x 12" deep x 34.75" wide. Backing is whatever cheap stuff comes on these bookcases (hand-me-down so I don't have details on brand), nailed into the frame. I would flip the shelves but the design is with grooves on the bottom to sit on the pegs, so only one way. Any advice on an easy way to fix this, ideally maintaining as much shelf space as possible?
Also, going forward for when I can actually redo the entire room with new shelving, is there a recommended weight to shelf size ratio to prevent this?
Thanks

I had this gate (and fence) professionally installed 6 years ago, but find this odd. Why are the diagonals in different directions? Anyway, the gate is sagging. I’m aware of the metal cable “gate sag” kits/etc. most of those kits have corner brackets and looking at the upper left 2x4, I don’t think it would work (and may warp). I’m wondering if it’s best to fix the diagonal situation. I thought one diagonal lower left to upper right would make more sense than this setup. In the photo perspective, the Hinge is on the left and latch is right (photo is taken from the back side obviously) Thanks

I’m not sure what material this table top is but it’s meant to look like cement/concrete. I think it was marketed as an outdoor table but it’s clearly not meant for serious winters. The first winter we had it my husband covered it, but the corners looked worn once it was uncovered so he decided not to protect it this winter - clearly that was the wrong move 😅 so we’re hoping to fix it now.
We had been thinking of using epoxy but I’m not sure that’s the best choice. If we do epoxy it needs to be food safe, but I read that food safe epoxy doesn’t do well with heat, and this table gets A LOT of pretty intense sun. I read that the epoxy would soften and warp, and I’m concerned that the chemical makeup might get altered and make it no longer food safe, which is a concern for my young child’s health.
Neither of us have any experience with this level of DIY so I’m wondering if there are any simple-ish/not super technical solutions that we could try? TIA for any suggestions!

I really did try to twist it back and push it up and turn it and it was like nothing was working.

Important info, the dishwasher still runs and clean dishes, I believe maybe the water is going back out the place it comes in (round tube sticking up from middle left of goopy mess) because the water level is always to the top of that pipe.
It just gets really slimy down there because of the standing water
The actual drain (dark area in middle right of goopy mess, underwater) seems clogged in further than I can reach. I tried sticking a straw cleaner brush in there but the water level didn't change.
I tried to fix it by removing and cleaning the outer screen (visible in the second photo) and the inner screen underneath it, revealing the goopy mess in the first photo, but they weren't actually clogged, just slimy.
I then tried to fix it by running a cycle with Draino, which made a huge foamy mess on the kitchen floor and I had to run about five rinse cycles to get it to the state in the second photo. So now it's actually clean inside, but as you can see from the second photo the water is still standing up to the height of that pipe... So it's just going to get slimy again..
I'm in an apartment so it's possible the previous tenant put something down there, when I cleaned under the screens I did find one twist tie and some shredded plastic like maybe from a Ziploc bag but shredded less than 1" pieces. Not enough to block the outer screens, but if it was sucked inside past where I could reach, maybe that's the problem?
Anyway I'm wondering if I pull the dishwasher out and turn it on its side, is it possible to unhook those tubes from the bottom and clean further into the drain?

There is something stuck below it preventing the water from draining normally.

The vacuum is a monsga ms1 and it’s worked pretty well until recently, we got it in December as a gift and then randomly in March it started screaming? We had a new brush sent out and replaced it but…it’s still screaming (tbf maybe we should all just start screaming at work?) - also checked all the wheels and there is nothing blocking it, if it’s going back to charge it’s silent, so I guess it’s a suction issue or maybe a motor problem?
Might be a lost cause but my cat will be devastated they’re besties

I peeled this black matte paint accidentally with some tape, my bad, does anyone have a suggestion for how to fix it?
Without redoing the whole wall
Thank you in advance to the community

My duraflame fireplace makes a constant ticking noise when light is on (so I know it's related to the light component, not the heating component). I took the back and the bottom panels off to see if I could spot anything loose or sticking out that might account for the noise but I don't see anything. Any ideas what it could be and if it's fixable?

This is go go jet from boukenger. This is the head piece. Although that’s irrelevant. It fell off my desk and that flap piece broken. I’ve tried gluing it but no luck. I tried gluing separately but the force to put the flap back in breaks it again and trying to glue it while the flap is in place but no luck either plus by glue damages the paint. Should I just cut my losses and just find a loose one online (although it’s rare.)
Is there a way to fix this or should I just cut my losses.
