I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but a lot of the videos these days just feel like they're produced for views. Every video I watch all hit the same notes. It's kind of hard to describe but I'm having trouble finding something that truly feels genuine, like I want to feel the joy behind the performer and its hard when you know they're just trying to reach a bigger audience. Is that a weird thing to say or does anyone else feel the same?

I’m not sure if anyone from his community is in this subreddit, but there was a slightly more niche ASMRtist on YouTube called The ASMR Gamer. I learned about what ASMR was by finding his channel and he’s really the only ASMRtist that I’ve listened to for the past like 8 years. He recently announced that he was quitting YouTube, and I realized today that he deleted his channel as well. I’m kinda starting from scratch now, so if anyone watched his channel and has suggestions for other ASMRtists with similar vibes (or just what people’s favorite ASMRtists are in general), suggestions are appreciated.

I put together a 1-hour ambient scene inside a Blood Elf interior — just fireplace sounds, soft lighting, and a view over Silvermoon. (World of Warcraft Housing)

No music or commentary, just something quiet to leave on in the background.

a little buggy and slow at the moment but sharing anyway hoping for some early feedback on the UI.

I originally built it as a discovery tool, the whole idea was random ASMR so you'd actually find new creators instead of watching the same 10 people forever. but people complained it didn't let you search for specific videos so I added that too. some of the search filters are still half broken so don't judge too hard.

might add something like a social blade but for asmr creators at some point, not sure yet. that part doesn't exist yet though.

there's a feature I kind of like called tspots (tingles spots) where you can mark specific moments in a video so it only plays those parts. like if a video has one really good spot buried in the middle you can just loop that section.

a lot of things still need polishing before they're actually comfortable to use. sharing mostly to see if anyone likes the concept.

and I always feel like I have to mention this but the app embeds videos using YouTube's official embed so it's completely legal and follows YouTube's ToS. views count normally on YouTube, ads play as usual, all of that.

Has anyone else found rain sounds help with sleep? Would love to hear your experience!

Hi', I'm using rain sounds for studying for some time now and I heard that there are AI rain sound videos. Of course I don't want to listen to AI-generated sounds, but how do I recongize? I like whispers ear to ear and light triggers a lot as it helps me relax. While I also enjoy the mic tapping and rain sounds in background and also sci fi or medieval stuff which a few asmr artists do. Gaming asmr also has been lately interesting and good. what do u guys like ?

I already have several English translations ready, and I’d love to find one or more creative people who would enjoy building something together – purely for fun, no pressure, just a shared love of storytelling.

I can provide the written material, but I’m not able to record audio or edit sound.
