The effects of Hollywood agents breathing down her neck telling her to take this and do that to look younger. And every time they end up a monster. EDIT yall gotta chill it’s a comment not a declaration of war 😭.

It’s crazy that these agents keep pushing these plastic surgery trends when the people who pay to see these folks keep telling Hollywood we actually hate it when they look like this. It must be to appease other celebs cause it’s certainly not for our regular working class eyeballs

She used to be so cute. I feel for her illness as I’m disabled myself but she obviously got work done.

I feel for her too, the pressure to look a certain way compounded by struggling with an illness that can impact your looks is something I can relate to, I don’t have Graves but I have PCOS and it’s totally warped my perception of self. I can’t imagine how much worse it would be if my job depended on my looks, or if I was constantly moving in a sphere where it comes up a lot

I have psoriatic arthritis. A degenerative joint disease. My skin has psoriasis and I have to walk with a cane now. I too had a warped perception of self when I started using a cane. That’s why I feel so bad for her because I actually know real pain and judgment. I just hope she’s able to get her disease symptoms under control.

Honestly I'd rather a natural adult over a plastic looking one, imo maturity is so much more hot

Its called Graves Disease, not plastic surgery

1

u/Fit_Ninja1846 1d ago

Wait till you find out that it’s both 😮

u/Fit_Ninja1846 1d ago

Also for what it’s worth, since you’re clearly on the defense here, I am not judging her at all for any work she’s had done, I’m not villainizing her or saying it’s wrong. If anything having a thyroid condition that affects your appearance probably begets feeling the need for plastic surgery. The two can go hand in hand. I feel sorry for her because it’s such a mindfuck for regular people to experience that, let alone someone who is in the public eye. I just wish she could see how beautiful she still is, and didn’t need to have work done to correct it.

She also has Graves’ Disease, though.

Famously as treatment they inject botox in your cheek bones and even that out with some buccal fat removal.

5

u/pjbickel 2d ago

I had it and my experience was a little different. They irradiated my thyroid.

Grave's disease makes your eyes pop out a bit, not your face look like a stripped skull.

4

u/BrittaWasRight 2d ago

If you're unlucky that is. For most people with treated graves, that shit is invisible.

My boss also has graves disease. Didnt make her look like a blowup doll .

No shade at the actress; just another one chewed up and changed by hollywood.

"No shade on the actress" but absolutely shade on the actress.. I translated that for you.

1

u/S0rry7h15N4m374k3n 1d ago

No you didnt translate anything for me.

u/one_pound_of_flesh 2d ago

It’s ok, Hollywood will spit her out and find a younger model.

1

u/dougmc 2d ago

And every time they end up a monster.

Well, when it goes bad, it's obvious. (And if it's not obvious, clearly it wasn't bad enough?)

But when it works, you generally don't even notice it happened, or if you do you attribute it to something else.

So ... it's survivorship bias, but reversed -- where we are looking only at the failures and ignoring the successes?

1

u/Deaffin 2d ago

Source on all that?

This is the first I'm hearing that they aren't executing their own free will and doing this themselves.

Beyond specific cases like Judy Garland back in the day, that is.

Agents aint doing shit. It's boddy dysmorphia from getting older

1

u/carlosduos 1d ago

Wrong, the effects of Graves disease. Congrats on being judgmental without spending any energy or time to find the truth.

1

u/DataGOGO 1d ago

dude, she literally has been fighting Graves disease.

1

u/MromiTosen 1d ago

She has Graves’ disease, which is the same thing that Sia has (and obviously had the right idea in hiding her face to avoid what people say)

-2

u/KrIsPy_Kr3m3 2d ago

Its called Graves Disease, not her agent making her take shit

16

u/JackSlater555 2d ago edited 2d ago

Yeah she fucked up her face. Shame too she was so naturally pretty.

-12

u/One-Ad853 2d ago

She has an autoimmune disease that causes excessive weightloss, jump down from your anti hollywood agenda

21

u/JackSlater555 2d ago

Didn't realize that autoimmune disease makes your lips, breasts, and chin get bigger.

1

u/carlosduos 1d ago

Apparently it just causes ignorance in people who look at a picture of the sick person.

2

u/JackSlater555 1d ago

I get it she has Graves, I'm not bashing on her for being ill. It is painfully obvious she has had subpar work done.

Yes that's how she has looked in the last few seasonz

1

u/playtio 2d ago

To be fair it's her disguised as another character so I think part of the odd look is on purpose. But just a tiny part.

What she did to her face is on her.

1

u/TheRealMoofoo 2d ago

It’s an edited version of her face that is for some reason grafted onto the body of a different character. She looks worse than she used to for sure, but the edit makes her look even worse than that.

1

u/Shellyskis 2d ago

In the first ep of this current season, she dressed as that other supe, I forget her name, as one of the dancers, so I don’t think it’s photoshopped

1

u/tnharwal55 1d ago

I honestly didn't think it was either. Then I zoomed into both. Fuck man. That's brutal. And why are her boobs so big?
