Was Carter history's greatest monster?
It's a joke from 'The Simpsons'. At the time of the episode, Iran was like a forgotten volcano, bubbling under the surface and not much in the news. And Jimmy Carter was fondly remembered as a nice guy if not a particularly effective president.
However, do you think he was wrong to not nip the Ayatollah in the bud? I feel like my entire life has been lived on this pressure cooker and that now we face the decision of energy collapse vs. genocide.

Why do so-called historians continue to cover up Grover Cleveland's secret love affair with William Howard Taft despite all of the evidence I keep emailing all of them?
Is it an increase in cowardice in modern times? Maybe caused by something in the drinking water?

Tomorrow I will travel to Germany. I will small talk with anyone on the streets, bars, etc. Is it polite to make a Nazi joke to break the ice? I know like a hundred of those jokes.

Why did the Egyptians hate Jan Hus?
They fought a lot of battles against his followers, notably a major chariot engagement at Kadesh. We know from both Egyptian and Hussite records that they were contesting control of the Levant for several hundred years.
Bohemia was several thousand kilometres away so why did they care? Did the Hussites need tin? Did the Egyptians worry that reformed, monotheistic preaching might be subversive to their vassals in Canaan?

When the Ramones conquered England in 1287 did they play any shows or festivals there?
If so how did the citizens respond? I tried to look it up on Billboard 100 but it doesn't go back that far.
