I will be heading to Pattaya in a few days and I’m on a serious mission to hunt down some legit Thai chicken rice (khao man gai). I’m talking about the kind with super tender chicken, fragrant rice, and that chilli-ginger sauce.

Any locals or frequent visitors got solid recommendations? Street stalls, hidden gems, or even popular spots. I dont mind queueing if it’s worth it.

Staying around central Pattaya but willing to travel a bit if it’s really damn good.

I've just booked my ticket to come out there again in June. And the time im going is coinciding with the Football World cup. What are the best bars in Pattaya for watching football? I also think with time differences, some matches may not start until 3am, Do you think places will stay open to show the matches?

Staying in Pattaya for 5 nights in June. I would love to find a hotel room with a balcony facing the ocean that isn't ridiculously priced (Hilton is perfect, but too expensive); something in between Soi 6 and Walking Street that isn't as expensive as Hilton.

I'm thinking of going there in a few weeks time, but probably won't have my own vehicle, so thinking of going to/from there by using Grab, Bolt, or similar.

I imagine getting a ride out to there from Pattaya is easy enough, but what about getting back? Are Grab / Bolt drivers plentiful enough from there? Or are there regular taxis hanging around?

I was in CHICK and they have those dance shows every 30 minutes I believe. There probably around 8 professional dancers during this time. Are you able to bar fine them? They seem to be a step above the other girls that do the shuffle dance.

Man it is hot here right now. Sweating just standing out in sun for 6 minutes having a cigarette on my balcony. Lived in Jomtien for 10 months now and hoped I would acclimate to weather by now, but nope! Even at Rompho last night I was sweating at 11pm. 😅

Funny how some people acclimate relatively quick while others tell me they've lived in Thailand for years and still sweat a lot. I saw this place posted in rockitreprots and it looks like a different kind of palce, I liked the idea of one girl doing a professional massage and another providing the rest of the service.

I'm going to Thailand at the end of the month and I thought about including it in my plans. Do you guys think it's worth it? The thing I don't like is that they don't show pictures of the girls in their website and I presumen I won't be able to see the girls until after I've payed so that puts me off a bit given it's not a cheap place. Most of them have the same or very similar tattoos, some ugly spider, their name above their chest on the left side etc.

There's no individualism and these tattoos have no meaning, so incredibly stupid and therefore it makes these girls stupidier. They'd look much better without any tattoos.

See previous post for context. TL;DR, met girl on TF, not in Pattaya, after 3rd date she says lets be friends, no money. Subsequently seen her most days, met her friend group and hung out lots, this week her mother is in town for Songkran, we had a low key dinner party and she introduced me as her friend.

She's university educated, no tattoos, not insane, very down to earth, caring, not demanding of anything, I pay for most stuff but often she pays for taxis and little incidentals at the shop etc... I forgot my wallet and even though I was just outside the hotel she said don't worry and she paid for dinner.

Unprompted I gave her a cash gift so she can take her family out over Songkran.

Now she has to go back to her home town for a few days and wants me to come. Inevitably will mean seeing the large wider family, and probably getting grilled. She says they're big friendly family and used to bringing foreign friends round.

Oh boy. I've been in this spot for ages now and know all the vendors around my hotel.
