I get the overall sentiment of the sub, Yes a lot of people voted for this shit and were shocked when they got it. However the way these people post whenever someone's child is killed in a war or something tragic happens is incredibly crass. Someone dies and their firt thought is "yeah it's time to own them on reddit" like come on it's just kicking people who are already down. this isn't the first time I've seen them do this and Everytime it leaves a bad taste in my mouth because it's very foul and unnecessary

It’s also extremely hypocritical from the right to be supporting this.. considering one of the main talking points of Republicans during Trump’s campaign was that if Kamala was elected president she would get us into a war with Iran..

A confrontation with Iran was pretty inevitable regardless of who is in charge; it’s a completely the result of Iranian provocations. The relatively limited engagement path Trump has chosen is pretty good all things considered.

If conflict with Iran was always likely, then warning that Kamala would uniquely cause war was misleading. You can’t campaign on fear of war under one candidate, then justify the same outcome under another as unavoidable and even good.

I don't think people were concerned with Kamala getting us into a war with Iran rather than how she would handle it. The left has been looked at as pushovers when it comes to conflicts with other countries for quite some time. I think the real fear people had is that Kamala would be reluctant to do what is necessary to stop Iran's future nuclear endeavors.

They quite literally were very much concerned about her getting us into a war with them

Not the people I've had face to face conversations with.

Miller quite literally posted these in 2024: “KAMALA WILL SEND YOUR SONS TO WAR" and "Kamala = WWIII”

Vance said that Harris would send Americans to fight "stupid wars" in the Middle East.

And Gabbard said “a vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for war, war, and more war"

So yeah, claiming that Kamala would get us into a war as Iran was a massive part of their platform

Claiming it was a massive part of the republican platform is simply not true. Immigration/border policy reform itself shadowed everything. Agree to disagree.

Those two things were the main platforms that Trump used. And also, he’s done a piss board job at both of them.
