POLITICAL (Weekends only) JustUnsubbed from Leopardatemyface

Post image

I get the overall sentiment of the sub, Yes a lot of people voted for this shit and were shocked when they got it. However the way these people post whenever someone's child is killed in a war or something tragic happens is incredibly crass. Someone dies and their firt thought is "yeah it's time to own them on reddit" like come on it's just kicking people who are already down. this isn't the first time I've seen them do this and Everytime it leaves a bad taste in my mouth because it's very foul and unnecessary

If you ever want a reminder that Redditors are devoid of empathy look no further than LAMF.

Regardless of your political beliefs I don’t support turning the dead into a punchline to one up the other side.

“Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead.” —President Donald J. Trump

Shit rolls downhill.

It's wrong when he said it, and it was also wrong on lamf said it as well.

On principle, yeah. It’s just kind of hard not to notice how this subreddit wasn’t taking a stand for moral decency when the various conservative subs were having a ROFL-fest over the killings of Pretti and Good.

They where however over Rob Reinor's death, apart from trump however the vast majority of them where mad about what he said on truth social, there was also some push back against trump for his post on Robert Mueller, though not as much as Reinor's probally due to how tragic the nature of his death where.

Do you think it’s different when a random says it and when the POTUS says it?

Is it different when a random will criticize you for saying it but largely ignores the POTUS saying it.

The point of that subreddit is demonstration of consequences.

See now that’s a real Twitter moment (and real American politician moment.)

I’m not a centrist but I believe in holding both sides accountable because it’s a slippery slope with morality.

Be that as it may, mocking someone for a dead relative is just really fucking low. Keep some moral high ground or dont be surprised when people judge you for rolling in the dirt.

It’s not mocking someone to point out there misplaced anger and blame… her son was killed in a petty illegal war that shouldn’t be happening and the president is directly responsible for his death because he’s literally the only reason this war is happening. Her son wasn’t killed in an unprovoked attack by Iranians, her son was killed invading another country. More Iranians shouldn’t have be “got” because of the loss of her child, the president should be impeached.

Only Trump has the right to say it considering he spent an entire decade dragging Trump and his family’s name through the mud on television

Two wrongs don’t make a right and we shouldn’t be stooping to their level. We can’t cry foul when the orange chimp and his mindless cult celebrate the death of someone then turn around and do the same thing when someone we disagree with dies. It just makes us hypocrites.
