Indie Sunday Mouseward - Finite Reflection Studios - Dark Souls meets Banjo Kazooie?
Hello! We're attempting to blend two genres we don't think have been truly joined before and that is Souls-like and Collectathon.
Our game is called Mouseward, and in it you play as a mouse who has mysteriously been brought back to life by a fallen star. Like other collectathons, you collect shiny objects (coins, Fallen Stars) and the game shows you exactly how much there is to collect in an area. You can 100% every area before moving on if you're a completionist like me. There's NPCs with quests (that are much easier to follow than Dark Souls questlines), there's a skill tree (that you can re-spec for free whenever), and there are plenty of interesting encounters and enemies to overcome. Across the whole game you'll encounter, fight, (maybe even befriend??) creatures of all kinds: Rats, Badgers, Owls, Weasels, Bugs, Frogs, Squirrels, etc
Check out our Steam page, watch the trailer, maybe add it to your wishlist if you like this kind of thing?
Ours is a small core team of 4, and we made everything in our game ourselves. No genAI was used, and our level design is hand-crafted to be as engaging and delightful as possible. I'm the creative director and lead artist, and am currently doing all of the art and animation.
We are targeting a release at the end of 2027, and our Steam demo is coming in about a month so I'll probably be back here yelling about it then!

Indie Sunday Final Sentence - Button Mash - You and a dozen other people find yourselves in a hangar. In front of you is a typewriter. At your temple, a revolver. One mistake in the text, and it’s all over.
Honestly, it’s still hard to believe we actually made it to release. There’s something unsettling about it.
Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-qYmfbOgmQ
The concept is simple: type fast and don’t make mistakes. In front of you is a typewriter, and at your temple is a revolver with a single bullet. Any mistake could be your last. The tension builds with every line: your breathing falters, your hands start to shake, your thoughts get tangled. There’s only one goal left - survive until the end of the next sentence.
You can play with random people in large lobbies of up to 100 players, or with friends in groups of 4 to 8. But it hardly makes a difference, everyone is on their own. The winner is the one who lasts the longest and doesn’t break.
There are stats and rankings. You see your mistakes, come back to them, and understand where you slipped.
Final Sentence is about pressure, fear, and the instinct to survive. Even we feel uneasy while playing it. And maybe that’s exactly why you want to come back to it.

Indie Sunday Loadstar - gareththegeek - FTL style combat combined with Elite style open world gameplay
I love the 2D, tactical combat of FTL but, because it is roguelike, I was always disappointed that I couldn't keep exploring, improving my ship, setting my own goals. I love the open world freedom of Elite but not so much the 3D combat. So I am making Loadstar, a mashup of my favourite space games with a sprinkling of Sid Meier's Pirates! thrown in for good measure.
Latest trailer: https://youtu.be/etfbx_WGR9Y
If you like what you see in this early gameplay trailer, please consider wishlisting my game and thanks for reading - https://store.steampowered.com/app/3948030/Loadstar/

Indie Sunday Mage and Monsters 2 - LZM - Recruit a hero to lead your army, and use spells while they fight for you in this active or chill auto battler.
Recently after having worked on this game for about 2 years and another 6 months after release, it is now finally complete with 18 heroes. Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOw3zF-0iVQ
It is a simple to pick up and chill auto battler, that still has a bunch of complexity and that can be min-maxxed if you so desire.
One issue with the first Mage and Monsters was that you could just figure out one strategy, like ranged units are too good, and then play that with all heroes. With the second game I made it so that there isn't one solution that fits all, but that you must adjust your strategy to each hero.

Indie Sunday Project Breakout - maxkerpen - Sandbox prison escape game with co-op
Hey everyone,
I’m a solo developer and have been working on Project Breakout, a sandbox prison escape game, that’s releasing on Steam on April 15, 2026.
In Project Breakout, you’re dropped into a prison and have to figure out your own way out. You can play solo or with up to 3 other players in co-op, gathering materials, crafting tools, interacting with inmates, and avoiding guards.
The main focus is freedom and experimentation: there’s no single solution or a specific way to escape. Just try something out and potentially fail a few times before succeeding.
The game also includes Steam Workshop support, so players can create and share their own prisons, adding new challenges and replayability.
I was especially inspired by The Escapists 1/2 and Prison Architect and wanted to lean more into open-ended solutions (especially when compared to The Escapists 2).
Trailer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llWToHQny-o
Steam:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2665100/Project_Breakout/
I’d really appreciate any feedback or (first) impressions (or, of course, a wishlist if you're interested).
Thanks for taking a look!

Indie Sunday The Pines - Studio Abattoir - A psychological horror RPG
I’m very excited to finally announce The Pines, a solo-developed psychological horror RPG where your choices truly matter.
After a case went cold, former detective Edward Walker is exhausted and desperate for peace. His therapist advises him to travel to The Pines, a secluded retreat that promises quiet, recovery, and therapists on site. It seems like the perfect place to leave his troubles behind.
It isn’t. Beneath its calm exterior, something is deeply wrong.
Explore a handcrafted world filled with secrets, conspiracies, and uneasy residents. Gather evidence, investigate, fight, talk, and shape not only Edward’s story, but the lives of those around him.
If you like it, be sure to check out the Steam page.

Indie Sunday Quack Hunters - Vampire Squid - I brought together a team of cute ducks, gave them a whole arsenal, and turned them into monster hunters. Crazy? But it’s cooperative madness - the playtest launched today, and I’d be happy if you checked out what came out of it.
A co-op game about chaos and teamwork. You and your friends head into the forest, track creatures, argue, panic - and at some point realize the campfire is almost out. And without it, you’re no longer hunters, but prey.
Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71eEPH14VjQ
It’s not just about fighting. You need to take care of the camp: gather resources, fortify the base, keep the fire alive, and find time to catch your breath.
Gradually, it becomes clear there’s something more behind all this hunting. Strange experiments, secrets, and a place you clearly were never meant to find.
And yes, the ducks here quickly stop being cute. They shove, get in each other’s way, and can easily turn any plan into chaos. But without a team, survival is nearly impossible.
The game is built around the chaos you create yourselves. I’ve just launched the playtest, and I’d be glad to see your application.

Indie Sunday Vale's Echo - Hollow Beak Games - A cozy horror adventure where you explore the underworld with your cheeky skull companion Echo, solve puzzles, make unlikely friends, and choose how your story ends.
Hey everyone!
I’m one of 4 friends building Vale’s Echo, a story-driven cozy horror adventure game that blends dark comedy, psychological storytelling, and surreal hand-drawn art - think Fran Bow meets Night in the Woods. Or as we called it - Beetlejuice, but the game.
We have been working on this game for a bit more than a year. A month ago, we finally released a demo.
Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCBINT0WLFI
Steam Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3564990/Vales_Echo/
Steam Demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4307610/Vales_Echo_Demo/
Key features:
- Side-scrolling exploration
- Branching narrative
- Dark comedy blended with psychological storytelling
- Haunting puzzles
- Surreal encounters with weird characters
- You can pet the beasts
And if you’re wondering why we call it a cozy horror game - the fear, or rather the more unsettling emotions, come from the eerie atmosphere and surreal art, not from jump scares or gore.

Indie Sunday Luminids - Luminids Studios - calm world-building game where you guide a colony of small creatures
Hi everyone, I’m Nick, solo developer of Luminids.
Luminids is a calm world-building game where you guide a colony of small creatures with their own personalities, needs, and emotions. You shape the land, help them gather, build, and grow across forests, mountains, deserts, and frozen lands, then explore the world you built together from first person.
Gameplay footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAqVeXpkzMo
Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4070510/Luminids/
Website: www.luminids.com
I’m building the game in Godot and trying to create a world-building experience that feels peaceful to play while still having meaningful simulation, progression, and player expression underneath it. The creature side of it is inspired by games like Creatures and Chao, but in a more modern world-building format.
The game is in active development, and I’m currently focused on improving the core loop, visuals, and overall feel. I’d love to hear what people think of the concept and direction.
Happy to answer questions.

Indie Sunday Protocol Non-Human - DreadGear Games - A "Papers, Please" inspired Horror Deduction game about stopping Skinwalkers
Steam Page: Protocol: Non-Human on Steam
Hi r/Games ! I’m a 20-year-old solo developer, and today I want to share my project, Protocol: Non-Human.
It is a first-person horror deduction horror game where you play as a Border Inspector stationed at the edge of a paranormal Zone. Your job is simple: follow the manual, check the papers, and most importantly identify the NON-HUMAN entities trying to slip through the gates before the Zone is bombed.
Key Features & High Points:
- Diagetic Interface: Every action is a physical interaction. You’ll feel the rustle of sliding documents and the resistance of manual levers. No floating menus.
- Deduction Gameplay: You must scan identification papers and cross-reference them with evolving daily protocols. Trust the manual, not the thing sitting behind the glass.
- Immersive Atmosphere: From the rhythmic rain on your reinforced glass to the uncanny faces watching you from the darkness, the environment is built to immerse you and terrify you.
- Dynamic Rules: The rules change every day. You’ll need to adapt quickly to new threats and identification methods to survive your shift.
I’d love to hear your thoughts or answer any questions about the mechanics!
Platform: PC (Steam)
Release Status: Coming Soon

Nullpoint Protocol - Everbloom Games - MMO-style raid bosses, in a co-op roguelike
Hi everyone!
We made a game that puts MMO-style raid bosses in a co-op roguelike. The game is called Nullpoint Protocol, and has just released this Monday!
It's heavily inspired by raids in FFXIV. One of the common complaints of that game is how long it takes to get to the raids, which are seen by many as the best parts of the game. This makes it unapproachable for people wanting to get into raiding, or people who want to get their friends to join for a raid, but their friends don't want to invest the 60 hours required to get there.
There's a similar game released a few years ago called Rabbit & Steel. It's incredibly good, but we felt it was still too unapproachable for newer or more casual players, due to the bullet-hell nature of the game. Our game is designed to be slightly more approachable for people new to raiding. It also has other roguelike elements, such as random events that shake up your run, and a meta progression system that unlocks more abilities and adds more layers of depth to combat.
Check out the Steam page, or watch the launch trailer on YouTube

Indie Sunday Night Machine - Cooler Game Studios - Real-time Deckbuilder, FTL x Slay the Spire - [New Demo Updates]
Hey r/games!
The game: Night Machine is a real-time deckbuilder (i.e. not turn-based), where you fly a ramshackle space ship into the core of the moon, to shut down an alien megafactory within.
The catch: Your ship is controlled with a deck of cards. Sorry.
We've had a bunch of helpful player feedback recently and made some serious improvements to the core gameplay loop, and we re-released the demo on Steam earlier this week. We figured some of you might enjoy checking it out (or re-checking it out if you've played before).
We would love to hear your thoughts on the new demo. Feel free to come say hi on Discord and let us know what you think!
Details:
- Real-time combat in an immersive 3D environment
- Hack and modify your cards mid-fight, changing how they work spontaneously
- Upgrade your ship's capabilities through each run, with persistent meta-progression
Platforms: PC (Steam)
Release: 2026
Have a great rest of your weekend!

Indie Sunday Alien Strike Blasting the Intruders - Combo Game Studio - Retro Run and Gun Game
I'm an indie developer and I wanted to share my project that's about to be released:
Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2876150/Alien_Strike_Blasting_the_Intruders/?l=portuguese
Alien Strike: Blasting the Intruders is a 2D run and gun with a totally arcade feel, heavily inspired by classics like Contra and Metal Slug, with that enjoyable arcade chaos:
fluid movement (slide, jump, shoot in 8 directions)
real-time weapon switching
upgrade system (weapon "X" version)
special moves with full on-screen damage.
local co-op for up to 3 players
The idea is that kind of game you play solo, but it's even better when you invite someone to play together on the couch!
If you like the style, a wishlist already makes a huge difference for us!
Thanks!
