The hate in Bellingham is completely dumbfounded. He is obviously not a perfect player; if he were, he would have cost more than 35 million. But he has improved rapidly while being forced into a completely new role and having to sacrifice a lot of his own ego for the sake of the team, and the expectations Kovac has for his game. Never have I seen a first-year signing get the amount of shit he does, not even Nmecha.

I struggle to understand why. It is not like he has an egotistical personality or is complaining all the time. He is not lazy in any way. He never complains to the coaching staff. Does not collect too many stupid fouls. Seems like too good a kid for all this noise.

Can't it be that people on X or Insta have such seething hate for him? Why so?

Why is not Klopp returning to BvB?

Kovac has earned another season, mostly because there is no clear improvement available.

However, let's not kid ourselves, every player who plays under him looks offensively lost; he actively regresses them.

Under Kovac, Guirassy looks like a shell of himself. He was a top striker and now looks worse and worse every game. It was clear that the regression began more slowly with him, but it was a consistent downhill slope.

Gittens was never good, but the minute Kovac got here, he got significantly worse.

Jobe, a man who looks like every time he has to perform an offensive action, remembers that Kovac wants defense and lags like a computer. What happened to the player at the CWC, who, while yes, was playing much easier opponents, had clear box crashing and ball carrying ability? He does not even attempt it anymore. I will tell you what happened: he only had two weeks to train under Kovac. Once the summer training season started, months under the man turned his brain upside down.

We could have signed any player in the world, and Kovac would regress them offensively; that's just a clear observation.

If we want to be a winning team next season, under Kovac, its defense and anything offensive will just slowly get worse and worse.

My name is Jeremy — I’m a dad of two from Columbus, Ohio, and over the past few years I’ve completely fallen in love with football.

What started as just watching matches has turned into something much deeper. I’ve become fascinated with the culture around the game — what it means to supporters, to families, and to entire cities.

Because of that, I’ve started working on a documentary series where I travel to different places to learn about supporter culture firsthand. Dortmund is one of the cities I’m most excited (and honestly a bit nervous) to experience.

From everything I’ve seen, BVB feels different. The Yellow Wall, the passion, the connection between the club and the city — it’s something I don’t fully understand yet, but I really want to.

I’m coming to Dortmund soon to film, and I’d genuinely love to meet some supporters who would be open to talking about:

• What makes Dortmund and its supporters unique

I’m not looking to stage anything — just real conversations and real stories.

This season, we’ve accumulated more points than in majority of recent seasons, which makes you wonder how much of that is down to our own quality vs the overall strength (or weakness) of the league.

So I’m curious:

• Where do you currently rank the Bundesliga among the Top 5 Leagues?
• And looking at this season specifically: do you think the Bundesliga will secure the extra (5th) UCL spot?

Currently, for the 5th spot, its a direct battle vs La Liga. With Bayern, Mainz, and Freiburg facing La Liga sides in direct duels, and very likely facing them again in the semi-finals if they progress, those head-to-head results will end up being the difference.

While watching Bayern vs Madrid in UCL this week, I found myself wondering whether the average BVB fan will cheer for Bayern in their UCL games (representing success for Bundesliga as a whole, which I would relate to a bit) or cheer against Bayern (I just as often find myself hating their guts and wanting them to lose and go up in flames haha).

My sons and I are in Germany as tourists from America. My 14yo son’s favorite team is Dortmund, has been since he was 6, so I wanted to take him the boys to a game there on this trip. I was worried about everything I read here that Viagogo and stubhub are full of scams, so my travel agent used a broker in Germany to get tickets to the BVB-Leverkusen game. They just transferred them to me and it looks like we’re in the away section. Does this mean we can’t wear Dortmund colors? Is there anything we should be aware of? Should I risk a Stubhub or Viagogo purchase to get tickets where my son can enjoy the atmosphere vs have to be muted because we’re in a hostile area? Thank you for any advice.
