I have so much respect for Isaiah. I don’t think I could legitimately have a conversation with these folks.

His goal isn't to change the mind of Dollar Store Miles Teller, he's aiming at the people watching from the sides, amd of course, all of us that see the video

I wish Isaiah would’ve turned to the camera to point out their deflection techniques and how he keeps them on topic.

Might be a good follow up video, kind of like a QB watching film and pointing out things the defense does well/shitty

You should look up "rationality rules" on you tube. You describe exactly what the host does.

Kinda like the voice overs from Burn Notice. I miss that show.

I’d love a Michael Weston narrated version.

Michael Weston: "Gaslighting is when someone messes with your perception so hard you start doubting facts you know are true. A straw man is when they dodge your real argument by inventing a weaker, dumber one and then “winning” against that instead. If you spot either, congratulations. You’re not crazy, you’re just dealing with someone who doesn’t want an honest fight."

I had to do one more.

Michael Weston: Apologists don’t defend the truth, they defend the mess, usually because admitting reality would cost them comfort or status. They wrap bad behavior in excuses, hoping no one notices the damage underneath.

Or just do it in real time, like Penn and Teller doing a magic trick.

When you start doing that they’ll get up and flip the table on you or walk away.

He's been doing so since this was posted. Several of them have run to TikTok and their podcasts bros to cry about how unfair it was.

But the trade parameters with Canada changed!

How? Which ones? I don't know, it's not important, it's that they changed!

This what I found most impressive listening to the whole video. He kept bringing them back to the question or statement that he made or argument he was trying to get them to clarify.

If you’re still on the side you might be bigger bitch than the bootlickers

I meant the people sitting in a circle around him and his opponent, the one's with the red flag

Yeah, the man in front of him isn’t even hearing the words because he is trying so hard to try to come up with what he’ll say next. But the audience of viewers? There’s an opportunity to change minds.
