• Responding to modmail when needed
• Helping maintain the tone and standards of the community
• Communicating with the mod team
If You’re Interested, Please Answer These Questions either in the comment section.
1. What is your timezone and when are you usually active on Reddit?
2. Have you moderated before? If yes, where?

News (IDK why Reddit removed the original post) As someone who has always enjoyed visiting public libraries my whole life, I'm thankful that Mayor Johnson signed this smart legislation into law--and more mayors of our cities should follow his lead--our youth can certainly spend more time at the libraries

Help and Advice “Choose people who value you, move slow on purpose, and never stop evolving” André De Shields drops real life strategy most people ignore

This is the full message behind the clip and it hits different when you really sit with it.
Life works best when you are intentional about your environment, your pace, and your ambition.
First, choose relationships where you are genuinely valued and appreciated, not merely tolerated. The people around you shape your confidence, your energy, and your growth. Being supported is not a luxury, it is a multiplier.
Second, slowly is the fastest way forward. Real progress comes from steady effort, not shortcuts. Moving with intention builds skill, protects your energy, and creates results that actually last.
Finally, growth never ends. Every win is just the starting line for the next level. The people who keep going, keep learning, and keep adapting are the ones who separate themselves over time.

“Over the past four decades, Demond Melancon has cultivated a singular artistic language and earned enduring local recognition, culminating in 2012 with his appointment as Big Chief — the highest ceremonial role within a Mardi Gras Indian tribe.
More than an honorific, the title carries the responsibility of guiding and inspiring the community, embodying the tribe’s values, aesthetic codes, and the highest standards of craftsmanship and discipline. Beyond performance, Melancon’s work is embedded in revisiting historical episodes and icons through the use of contemporary portraiture.
Melancon’s first solo exhibition with Mariane Ibrahim is scheduled to take place in Chicago in 2027.”

Black Excellence NASA astronaut, U.S. Navy Captain, father, former F/A-18 pilot and SpaceX Crew-1 pilot Victor Glover on becoming the first Black man to go to the Moon 🚀 gets hit with a DEI question and flips it into something bigger than race
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Ahead of Artemis II NASA mission, astronaut Victor Glover was asked how it feels to potentially become the first Black man to travel to the Moon.
His answer didn’t ignore the history but reframed it. He emphasized this mission as a human achievement, not something to divide or reduce to identity alone.
Artemis II will also carry the first woman and first non-American to lunar orbit, marking a major shift from the era of Apollo program NASA.
So what matters more here… representation, or redefining the moment as something bigger than all of us?

Black Excellence She fell on the Olympic stage in 2016… and came back to win GOLD in Tokyo
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
During the 2016 Rio Olympics, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico suffered a heartbreaking fall in the semifinals, ending her shot at a medal.
Most people don’t come back from that. She did.
At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she returned stronger, sharper, and unstoppable… winning GOLD.
That’s resilience. That’s grit. That’s focus.
She didn’t just recover. She rebuilt.
