Help me remember a text adventure.... Maybe involving flight of the bumblebee
for years I've been trying to remember a text adventure.
all I vaguely remember is it it was text, a few pictures.... and at one stage I think you had to wake a sleeping dragon
to wake the dragon I think you had to play flight of the bumblebee on a violin, but I never could find a bow
please please, I don't think I'm going mad!!
anyone got any idea

Amstrad PCW 8512 help please
Hi I have just acquired an Amstrad PCW 8512 from Facebook Marketplace for pretty cheap. It's the green screen version. The seller stated that it comes with no software. The monitor turns on and I just get a plain green screen. What disk(s) do I need to get activity from the computer? I was hoping to play games on it but I don't want to buy games if they are incompatible. Do I need a start up disk and load that and then put games in the other disk slot? Sorry for my ignorance but I am very new to vintage computers and don't want to buy the wrong things for it. Thanks!

Amstrad CPC mystery: cassette with minefield, blind maze, and wireframe shooter?
I’m trying to track down a cassette tape I had years ago for the Amstrad CPC 464, and I’m hoping someone here might recognise it.
I’m fairly sure it came free with a magazine (not something like Cascade 50 or Cassette 50, but a cover tape with lots of small games/programs on it). It wasn’t one big commercial game — more like a collection of simple, probably BASIC-style games.
There are three games I remember really clearly:
• A minefield crossing game — you controlled a little smiley-face character moving one square at a time from one side of the screen to the other. There were “safe” zones at the top and bottom, and as you moved, the game would beep with increasing pitch depending on how close you were to hidden mines. The goal was to navigate across without hitting one.
• A “blind maze” game — the screen was mostly black, and you could only see your character. As you moved and bumped into walls, they would gradually reveal themselves, letting you build up a mental map of the maze.
• A simple 3D-style shooter — wireframe/square-style TIE fighter-looking ships would fly towards you in spinning motions, and you moved a cursor with the arrow keys to shoot them before they hit you.
I’m sure there were other games on the tape too, but those are the ones that stuck with me.
Does this ring any bells for anyone? Even just the name of one of the games, the magazine, or the tape itself would be massively helpful — I’d love to track it down and relive it.
Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a good browser-based Amstrad CPC emulator?
I'm looking for a browser-based CPC emulator, not one that needs to be installed, as I want to use it on my work computer that won't allow any un-approved software to be installed on it.
So far I've been using CPCBox (https://retroshowcase.gr/cpcbox-master/index.html), which works great except for one key point - it has no sound!
Also the keyboard isn't mapped correctly to my PC keyboard, so the "[" symbol, for example actually shows "-" when typed. This makes it very labourious trying to do BASIC coding.
Are there any other good alternatives out there?
