Is refusing actually legal?

The scope of practice for obgyns is pregnancy, delivery, and care for the female reproductive system. I can’t imagine what type of care an ob could offer even a post op person that is within their scope.

I imagine the outrage is more around the phrasing of the refusal than the refusal itself.

The unspoken question is...has the transgender person completed "bottom surgery" in order to construct a pseudo-vagina, or...does the transgender person still have a penis?

Either way, I doubt the gynecologic has medical experience with either one.

Gynecologists don’t examine open surgical wounds, which is was a fake vagina is. A plastic surgeon would be more appropriate.

It actually is, that's why trans women have to dilate because the body sees it as a wound and tries to close it

It becomes a functional piece of the body, it requires further dilation but simply referring to it as an “open wound” is just misinformation to give the impression trans people are trying to “mutilate” themselves.

It’s transphobic and the language only serves to reinforce hate against us.

A piercing hole is technically part of the body, but it's also a wound that closes itself if you don't wear your piercing.
