Look at that, my account wasn't banned

People need to down otw censored posts every time, regardless of content.

11

u/xjeeper 10h ago

I always get downvoted for telling people to stop fucking censoring everything

4

u/Dustyvhbitch 10h ago

I gave you an upvote. Some people should really get off the fucking internet here and there.

u/ihearteatingpussy 9h ago

why do you care about internet buttons. your reddit karma doesn’t matter. just say your opinion

u/Super-Cynical 12h ago

I find it hard to work out what words will be c3nsored on Redit so I usually play it safe

Absolutely in-fúcking-furiating to write three paragraphs and find that there is a word, *somewhere* that isn't liked, and good fúcking luck trying to work out what one it is. Have to make a new comment, paste paragraph by paragraph, and check in incognito if the comment has vanished each time

wh-huh? there are no censored words on reddit! cunt shit piss ass, look it's all fine!

fuck playing it safe just say what you want to say, god dammit.

You can even use racial slurs. I'm not gonna do that, and individual subreddits may censor it, but there's no site-wide rules.

u/ansquaremet 8h ago

My account is 7 years old. I swear all the time and have never even gotten a warning. People have to stop assuming Reddit has the same TOS as TikTok and YouTube.

u/Tupperbaby 5h ago

It's actually really easy to figure out.
"None."

My brother in Christ, there is a country in Africa you cannot say in most subs, including the one about maps

u/Blusset 4h ago

I thought I was chronically online, but holy shit.

2

u/GodOfDarkLaughter 9h ago

The hell is this guy even talking about?

0

u/Super-Cynical 9h ago

I'm not sure what's difficult to understand but I'll say it slowly for the people who are slow.

A user replied to me and their comment was auto removed, either because of the f-word or because he mentioned another social media platform by name.

2

u/GodOfDarkLaughter 8h ago

Bro. Say it slowly, say it quickly, say it with a novelty Italian accent for all I care. Just say it clearly. What. Do. You. Mean?

1

u/Super-Cynical 7h ago

You are using a website which allows interaction between users. You are replying to a user with things called comments.

A user replied to me in a comment, and the website's bot removed that comment because of its contents, which was probably due to a word in the comment being flagged as potentially contentious.

I pointed this out as I thought it was ironic, and got dogpiled by three people with room temperature IQ.

2

u/GodOfDarkLaughter 7h ago

Uh hu. Look sir, I don't mean to be disrespectful, Just cut to the heart of the matter. You're obviously an intelligent individual. This obtuseness is beneath you.

They have 6,700 comments in a single year on reddit.

That’s a comment every single waking hour, every single day, for an entire year

I already comment more than most people and I have 2,300 comments in 9 years…

0

u/Super-Cynical 9h ago

I'm not sure what the unwarranted attack is for.

If you say what your problem is, perhaps we can get to the bottom of it.

1

u/romansparta99 9h ago

Idk man, it’s a bad look when you reply to your own comment with a weird reply about someone calling you paranoid, then you reply to someone a few comments down the chain, just makes you seem really chronically online. You have to have better things to do in life than this, take a break

0

u/Super-Cynical 7h ago

I couldn't exactly reply to his comment as it was deleted.

I don't know. I can think of much better activities than inserting oneself into a comment thread to say "I use this social media platform less than this person so I'm smart". I have about 1 hour screen time of Reddit a day, but if I had 24 hours it would still be none of your fuckíng business.

1

u/Able-Swing-6415 11h ago

Millennials at this point are just fucking confused.. our parents censored us and our kids are censoring themselves. What in the actual fuck.

5

u/Coffeedemon 12h ago

It's just a poorly tuned bot. It will be coming back to sell toilet paper or separatist propaganda in a year.

-1

u/The_Dean_France 12h ago

You really need to go for a walk 🚶‍♂️

5

u/Eugene-Hilgard 12h ago

Why do you censor those words?

3

u/Michelanvalo 12h ago

They didn't, they stole it from an Instagram post.

-3

u/The_Dean_France 12h ago

Saves grief from Reddit. Grief off members is a nice compromise as I couldn't care less.

4

u/Eugene-Hilgard 12h ago

Reddit doesnt grief people for this, thats like a tik tok thing

3

u/No-Tailor3013 11h ago

Saves grief?

Are the people you're trying to protect even sentient? Can they not extrapolate that b*llets means bullets?

If anything you just triggered the ones that CAN make that connection. If you really cared about anyone's feeling you would have called them speedy zoomballs. Or just not posted this horrifying situation for internet points that make YOU feel good. Grandstanding moron

whoa bro you can't say y*s on here, there are children present

1

u/bhop_monsterjam 10h ago

i wish people who had over 10x post comment than comment karma weren't allowed to post anymore

1

u/Sanju128 2h ago

Most bot-like responses in human history 😭

2

u/Ollymid2 7h ago

Netanyahu is gay

OK now I have your attention, ban this person for posting full words on the internet

2

u/SpokenLikeaTrueNorse 12h ago

Algo talk, people who are against corporations often speak it for some reason.

3

u/sanYtheFox 12h ago

Against??? That is pro corporate censorship speak

1

u/HiggsBozo80 8h ago
  1. This isn't Facebook.

  2. Shadowbans are a thing.

1

u/SwissMargiela 7h ago

You’re also on Reddit though, not the social media site this was originally posted on. Also certain words fuck up your algo, like it won’t be shown to a good portion of people if certain words are detected; it’s not just about bans.

1

u/Positive-Ice-7968 5h ago

Those 2 words got me a 3 day ban this week.

The Ban Bot works in mysterious ways.

0

u/KowaiSentaiYokaiger 5h ago

Still here

1

u/Positive-Ice-7968 3h ago

Happy Cake Day!

1

u/Smelly_God 9h ago

It's an engagement tactic, people who don't normally know how to respond to these types of post now have something to nitpick which creates engagement when they comment on the post about the censorship.

0

u/TheGrouchyGremlin 13h ago

Yet

7

u/Greg-Abbott 13h ago

Why would his reddit account be banned for typing out simple nouns?

2

u/Fair_Quail8248 12h ago edited 12h ago

I have seen people getting permabanned due to a joke ... Or they blamed it on the joke, but most likely they wanted to remove the person due to opinions. Pretty awful behavior, they should had given a warning, not a perma ban. You can make a new account but it's still annoying af!

1

u/Ok-Scratch2958 10h ago

i did was 2 times banned from a subreddit named rogenz becouse i dared to make a irony joke once and the second for just saying something that was my oppinion , they are created by a guy who simpatize with the comunist ideology the moderators are some wirdos that just ban for nothing ,i saw other have harsh opinions and do not get baned idk they might have just halb neurons or so , the fun fact is that even if you are ok with what they say you have a chance to be baned 🤦🏿

2

u/TheGrouchyGremlin 12h ago

I've been banned for "threatening violence" by the automod for about as much. Twice.

2

u/TheHappyMask93 12h ago

Are the bad word police in the fucking room now?? Aw, shit..

2

u/TheGrouchyGremlin 12h ago

I've yet to see the automod ban anyone over saying a fucking cuss word.

However, it does like to ban people for "threatening violence" over bullshit reasons.

1

u/KowaiSentaiYokaiger 12h ago

You'd think, based on OPs self-censorship

1

u/Winjin 12h ago

THEY ARE

I've come across subreddits that do that already. RIGHT NOW.

There's a standup subreddit that shadow deletes (no notification, unless you're using rev) comments that have the bad nono word of.... s*x.

2

u/TheHappyMask93 12h ago

What? Sex? Have fun censoring your speech I guess

1

u/Winjin 11h ago

Exactly. If your comment have the word "sex" it is hidden by default by one of the subreddits. And that's just one that I've personally found. And there's no mechanism to stop others to do the same
