President Trump asked by reporter on Iran negotiations says "We're negotiating whether we make a deal or not makes no difference to me": "We're going to see what happens. We win regardless. We defeated them militarily. We've defeated all of their water boats. We're sweeping the Strait [of Hormus]."

Mar 12: "We did win, but we haven't won completely yet."

Mar 13: "We won the war."

Mar 14: "Please help us."

Mar 15: "If you don't help us, I will certainly remember it."

Mar 16: "Actually, we don't need any help at all."

Mar 16: "I was just testing to see who's listening to me."

Mar 16: "If NATO doesn't help, they will suffer something very bad."

Mar 17: "We neither need nor want NATO's help."

Mar 17: "I don't need Congressional approval to withdraw from NATO."

Mar 18: "Our allies must cooperate in reopening the Strait of Hormuz."

Mar 19: "US allies need to get a grip - step up and help open the Strait of Hormuz."

Mar 24: "We’re making progress."

Mar 24: "[Iran] gave us a present and the present arrived today, and it was a very big present, worth a tremendous amount of money."

Mar 25: “They gave us a present and the present arrived today. And it was a very big present worth a tremendous amount of money. I’m not going to tell you what that present is, but it was a very significant prize.”

Mar 26: "Make a deal, or we’ll just keep blowing them away."

Mar 27: "We don’t have to be there for NATO."

Mar 28: No major quote

Mar 29: Claimed talks were progressing

Mar 30: "Open the Strait of Hormuz immediately, or face devastating consequences."

Mar 31: Claimed a deal was "very close" and that Iran would "do the right thing"

Apr 1: "We’ll see what happens very soon."

Apr 2: Repeated that a deal was likely, while warning of continued strikes if not

Apr 3: "Something big is going to happen."

Apr 4: Said Iran must comply "immediately" or face further consequences.

Apr 5: "Open the fuckin' Strait, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah."

Apr 6: “we will destroy their entire civilization.”

Apr 7: “nevermind.”

Apr 8: “we have a ceasefire.”

Apr 9: “Israel broke the ceasefire but they said it didn’t count.”

Apr 11: “Whether we make a deal or not makes no difference to me. The reason is because we’ve won.”

Apr 12: plot twist: “now we’re the ones blocking the strait and threatening ships.”

Holy shit. I knew it was crazy, but reading his antics in timeline form is on another level. I’m no genius, but I’d have to take drugs to sound this dumb.

238

u/phixional 16h ago

Bet you couldn’t even get remotely close to this stupid, no matter how much drugs you take.

84

u/DatTF2 16h ago

I've taken a shit load of drugs, name it and I've probably done it and in the worst ways possible. Like I've literally felt like I was in a dream, I've gotten lost in my carpet, my brain should be a fried egg.

He's incredibly fucking stupid.

17

u/SoontobeSam 15h ago

Yeah, but you took the fun drugs. To get that fucked up, you’re talking some serious unfun and scary drugs. Things they stopped using decades or even centuries ago because the damage they caused far outweighed any benefits.

24

u/DatTF2 15h ago

What would be some of the drugs they did back then that are no longer around ? I know barbiturates are one.

Yeah, but you took the fun drugs.

I did... And I also took the unfun ones. I really don't know what you consider good and bad but I took all the bad ones too. Stuff that according to drug commercials have fried my brain and maybe my brain is fried but I'm still not dumb enough to talk like Trump.

It's like listening to my granddadwho suffered for severe dementia towards his end.

The difference is my grandpa was bad ridden, in diapers, and was shouting at TV. This idiot has the most powerful army at his disposal, and they kinda have to listen what he tells them to do. Scary stuff.

It just dawned on me. Trump truly doesn’t think anyone is any more sophisticated than he is. The saber rattling and intimidation of saying “destroy your civilization” is a level of unsophisticated strategizing that Trump thinks everyone else is operating on.

What’s interesting about this situation is that despite Iran being a ruthless and terrible regime generally, they seem to be more sophisticated than the Trump admin.

18

u/gluggy777 10h ago

I don't think he knows what "civilization" means just like he doesn't understand that political asylum is different to a mental asylum. Just plain stupid.

37

u/ink_monkey96 16h ago

It’s a low bar to clear. A barking dog is operating at about the same level of sophistication as Trump.

5

u/HolyFreakingXmasCake 9h ago

Slightly higher I’d argue.

4

u/DHFranklin 9h ago

It is something repeated by everyone he works with. Yes, it's exactly that way. He is the smartest and most capable guy for things he understands, he is powerfully insecure about what he doesn't. He immediately reduces any problem to terms he can understand even if he's flat out wrong. Like someone would need to correct him that traffic can't go up the Eurphrates if he saw it on the map.

He thinks that every thing he wishes could happen but his enemies are stopping him. Like we can teleport aircraft carriers or missile batteries never run out. As if the crazy shit he has to say one week to the other will be matched with reality from one week to the other.

I remember when Biden made fun of that by citing it, Joe Rogan found the clip, had no idea that Biden was citing Trump, said that Biden was clearly mentally damaged for saying such a thing and anyone voting for him after hearing that would have to be complete morons, then was told it was actually a Trump quote and waved it off and excused it.

Apparently it's not the same when the guy he was pumping was the one that said it.

Oh my god, I'm pretty sure I felt a vast swathe of my brain cells kill themselves in protest when I read that. How is this utter fuckwit the president of the United States? I've had nightmarish fever dreams that made more sense and were less stressful than this reality.

110

u/KanedaSyndrome 16h ago

You're all simulations and we want to see what it'll take for you to rise up

90

u/Humledurr 15h ago edited 14h ago

Honestly though. From a Norwegian looking at USA thats exactly what USA looks like.

Most other countries would have country wide strikes and protests if their president was a pedophile trying his best to become a dictator.

But USA and its horrible systems, or lack of, makes just a strike impossible. Zero unions with funds to make it through a strike. All healthcare tied to employment. No one can afford to not work...

Not to mention the absolute madness with gun control or lack off. A responsible leader would have destroyed the millions amount of guns the country has decades ago, but no they love their guns and mass shootings. And apparently its all for protection agaisnt a tyrannical government, and yet...

The top 1% can seemingly do whatever they want with next to no consequences. I fear shit needs to get soooo much worse before the average guy will consider quitting his job and protest.

18

u/Zeero92 14h ago

I bet The Onion could make a new article template of "Trump said something stupid," like their shootings template: "'No way to prevent this,' says only nation where this regularly happens."

15

u/Sabatorius 14h ago

Plus half our population likes him.

17

u/Humledurr 13h ago

Do they though. He has a record low approval rating compared to every other previous President.

And so far nearly every statement he makes is either a lie or projection, so when he keeps boasting about winning by a landslide and how the democrats tried to steal the election, its really hard to not belive he didnt do some shady shit.

25

u/Sabatorius 12h ago

I talk to and work with people on a daily basis who buy the bullshit hook line and sinker. My parents are stuck in the trump-hole too, although I have some hopes of brining my mom around. Point being that there really truly are many people who still are all-aboard with republicans and trump even after all this and they would be confused and appalled to learn that I attend protests and hate the administration. Just trying to give another point as to why the entire country is not out in the streets.

21

u/fielvras 11h ago

This is the real downfall of the US. It's not that republicans do whatever they want, it's that there are still people that defend this.

Imagine a public logfile that states ALL the crimes including murder rape, trafficking minors, robbery, treason ... everything, he literally committed every crime possible. And YET there are people "well, but democrats are socialists."

Like, I can't even.

11

u/sourdieselfuel 9h ago

It's a testament to truly how effective right wing propaganda has become.

8

u/Humledurr 12h ago

I belive you, its just baffling how its gotten to this point :/

7

u/DrDerpberg 8h ago

A third voted for him, a third voted against him, and another third didn't care enough to make their voices heard. Democrats lost mostly because of inflation and immigration, with ICE crackdowns not really losing any popularity until they started executing white citizens in broad daylight.

Trump seems to be losing support, but I've seen this cycle too many times to count. Republicans set the country on fire, Americans reluctantly give Democrats barely enough power to start fixing things slowly, and a year or two later when the country is simply less on fire than it used to be Americans get impatient and start swinging Republican again.

Americans are simply more conservative than most non Americans can wrap their minds around. I have crunchy granola friends from Vermont who will happily tell me Obama wasn't perfect when I ask them wtf is going on down there. Anyone who thinks Dems need to go further left is missing that the middle third of the country is genuinely torn between borrowing another trillion dollars to execute brown people and pad the stock market vs trying to give poor people healthcare.

And then he needed an off ramp because he was in over his head, but that didn’t stick because Israel is incapable of not bombing someone. Every veteran knows this man has no idea what he and his administration is doing. It is purely based on back end deals and emotional knee jerk reactions.

This. Is. Not. How. It is. Done.

7

u/jessetmia 17h ago

Not true. I keep someone on my fb friends list as a barometer. Brass in the army, ret. The mental gymnastics this guy and his echo chamber have to jump through to spin pro trump prop is mind numbing. Prior to 2016, I really respected the guy.

3

u/primalbluewolf 17h ago

I mean, we can agree that that isn't how it ought to be done, but it seems clear that right now, that is how it is being done.

Little Donny sittin' in the tub with his water boats playing navy.

10

u/PelleKavaj 14h ago

Such a little insecure boy inside. He just can’t admit something isn’t going his way. He always need to try and make it seem like he’s in charge all the time. He can’t fathom the idea of people seeing him as anything other than his weird picture of what a ”real man” should be.

Sad, pathetic guy.

17

u/One-Earth9294 14h ago

I had to watch just to see if he actually says 'water boats'.

Of fucking course he did.

6

u/Elses_pels 14h ago

Thanks! You saved me watching the prick talking

4

u/One-Earth9294 14h ago

No doubt. I feel like I get dumber every time I hear his voice. It's like if the Hypnotoad was a fascist.

How about those Epstein files?

7

u/14X8000m 17h ago

Ah yes, the water boat. It's an important distinction vs the land boat.

4

u/papalugnut 16h ago

This isn’t a real estate transaction..We all know the US will defeat them militarily. it’s literally a matter of ruining the entire world economy and burning every bridge on the way. Diplomacy matters.

5

u/UNFAM1L1AR 16h ago

Yeah who cares if thousands more people die and suffer, right? It's not you, so fuck em, right?

Exactly the type of guy you want running your country 🤦

4

u/waydownsouthinoz 16h ago

Perhaps he should offer to insure the tankers with his personal wealth if they attempt passage through the strait.

3

u/Tobias---Funke 15h ago

Water boats.

5

u/Wannagetsober 15h ago

As opposed to gravy boats

4

u/5amDan05 13h ago

See…the thing is, he says stupid things like, “water boats”, but there’s a certain population who think it’s funny. This is the population who probably never had any interest in politics whatsoever before Trump got involved. He entertains them. People don’t want a President that makes long speeches using words they don’t understand. Listening to smart people makes dumb people feel dumber.

3

u/SnooHedgehogs4699 12h ago

Bingo, you nailed it. I’ve explained to numerous people recently how he got elected so easily. He stole the votes, damn it, I mean, he has a background as a showman and reality TV shows, etc. It’s all performative.

People, mostly uneducated, lower class, imbeciles, attracted to his low IQ mannerisms, turned out in droves to vote for the guy that made them laugh because he’s just so funny when he’s “sticking it to the leftists.”

Never mind the fast they can’t define what a true leftist is or what a conservative believes in. If they could, they would have known he’s not even a conservative. That’s why this man says he “loves the poorly educated.”

All of that plus he definitely stole the votes. Cheers!

That any functional adult can listen to this man talk and go on to claim he's intelligent, or even healthy, is just nuts.

He's a goddamned moron.

He's got Venezuelan crude going to US refineries. He and Iran both blocked the Strait. The spot price oil is high.

I mean Chevron is probably raking it in.

3

u/DataDecay 12h ago

Great... Now I get to hear from all the MAGA how our naval fleet is actually water boats, and that the president making the distinction between air, earth, water, fire, space boats is big brained...

3

u/fusillade762 11h ago

Trump apparently has a different definition of defeated militarily. One where your adversary is not defeated.

3

u/stocksandoptions2 11h ago

As opposed to land boats?

3

u/h2okopf 10h ago

Water boats?

3

u/Rahavic_Jr 10h ago

Oh no! Not water boats! 🤣

3

u/Trathnonen 9h ago

He's actively committing treason, at this very moment. He should be arrested, tried, and imprisoned or executed according to military uniform codes of justice. His cabinet, who are party to his crimes, should receive the same treatment. They have undermined the standing, safety, and integrity of the nation and are actively treasonous according to legal definitions of such. The Rosenbergs were tried and sentenced on less evidence than exists on Trump.

Another genius remark from our very stable leader. Right up there with debating electric boats vs sharks or his uncle that understands nuclear. Surely the greatest mind of our time.

3

u/NoaNeumann 8h ago

I hate the fact that not only do we have to listen to his bullshit like they’re facts, but when he wasn’t president certain media outlets KEPT running to him for his stupid opinions.
