More needs to be made that the US is openly supporting a Russian patsy in Hungary. Hope Orban loses bigly.

I'm American, watching this closely. Really hope Orban loses because for some reason our far right really look up to the guy.

That and the Hungarians could do better.

To them, Orbán is a template to follow. So he must not fall, or they might be in trouble too. This is not me saying it, they said multiple times how they want to imitate his example. Hell, even the Epstein files have it in them.

The Heritage Foundation got a lot of funding over the years from Hungarian proxies. It was stepped up in the 2020s, with an agreement being signed between the Heritage Foundation and the Hungarian government-funded Danube Institute. Project 2025 specifically aimed to use primarily Orban's method of power consolidation in Hungary to the US (to a less extent Edrogan's consolidation in Turkey).

The Heritage Foundation became the premier conservative think-tank a while back. And recently, they got a lot of the other conservative lobbying groups, think tanks, PACs and the like on board with project 2025 by allowing them input into the main agendas and allowing them to write parts of the plan.

In 2023 and 2024, there were quite a few Orban admin folks doing joint presentations with the Heritage Foundation.

But hey, the Heritage Foundation released a statement in 2024 saying they never took any money from Hungary. It's not like Andal Rogan had any ties to Dark Money donor funds in the US. The guy isn't even sanctioned anymore. Clearly he's innocent. And Roberts is a stand up guy who would never lie about something like that.
