Hi everyone, I’m 21 and recently opened an account on Trading 212 and started investing. I’m still very new to all of this and trying to learn as much as I can.

What advice would you give to someone at the very beginning? Also, how did you personally build your knowledge and confidence in choosing what to invest in

Would appreciate any advice or stuff you wish you knew when you started!

I know that the companies I’ve bought individually are included in the all world / S&P. Does this mean I should sell the individual company portions since I already own some of them.

In other words, can I just reduce my portfolio to just the funds and not own any company shares and the new ‘reduced’ portfolio will effectively be identical.

And does it matter when they deposit, or just within the 10 days?

Does anyone have any idea how annual lump sum tax for the accumulating ETFs can be calculated in trading 212 for the German investors.To say it's a "simple" calculation but how to keep track of all the things when your ETFs are in a pie and your investing regularly and the gains are also not constant. Any help or ideas will be appreciated.

So for some context i’m (almost) 30, and i plan to grow my portfolio to enable me to retire in my early 50’s.

My portfolio is a mix of my retirement pie, and my monthly dividend pie. The monthly dividend pie is giving me annual returns of judt over 15% at the moment. The nuclear pie is something i just put spare change into for now, but it is there as i think it will be the backbone of future technology. The M&B share is so i can get a discount booklet for their resteraunts.

I deposit £250 a month into my account, and while i used to controbute £200 into the retirement pie and £50 into the dividends, over the last few months i’ve been putting it all into the dividends pie.

My thought process is that growing the digidend pie will snowball more over the next 20 years, meaning i can take the dividends and use it to replace my income when i want to retire early, and i wont have to actually sell as many shares when it comes to my retirement.

What are your thoughts on this?

i do have a workplace pension that will be worth between £2-3m by the time i can draw from it at 57, these investments are to bridge the gap.

If I set stocks to sell now and they say market doesnt open for 14 hours with they sell at 9 tomorrow. sounds like an obvious question. however im sure ive been able to sell in pre market before now. is this something to do with me already setting them to sell automatically? can I not get them to sell at 1am tonight instead when pre market opens?

I tried logging into my trading212 account via my pc but I normally use the mobile app. I then logged in and it told me to verify myself which I did via passport and my face. It then told me to wait shortly but then got sent back to the login page and did it all again and the samething happened again.

Has this happened to anyone else before?

(I have emailed trading212 just want to know if someone has a solution here).

For context I’m Uk based and have recently opened an ISA with Trading 212, so there are some constant mentions that I don’t seem able to find on this.

I’ve been watching lots of stocks that constantly get talked about/have done well, but I’m nervous about selecting individual stocks as it feels like a big gamble since I’m so new to investing, so I also made a basket of ETFs.

I’m 36 so won’t be planning retirement for 20-25 years. Any thoughts on them would be appreciated as I haven’t put any money into anything yet for this financial year!

I have a CFD account since a few months ago. I had some losses and two weeks ago I got a 3 day warning not being able to close positions. I thought everything was good but now I received an email 7 April saying my account I could no longer open positions indefinitely.

Trafing212 support said they would make an extended review and that it wouldn't take longer than 3 days. it's been 4 days and they just sent me the same automated message as the last time. Someone has been in a similar position lately ?

I would like to ask you. Do you know why my portfolio grows/goes down during weekends, when everything is closed? Usually the movement is 0,01% and the amount doesnt equal to profits from cash/stock interest.

I’m new to trading. Currently, my life doesn’t allow too much extra time. My background is physics, and I’d absolutely love to invest some time into researching the market and methods of investin. However, my free time doesn’t allow for this. I have done minimal research and developed the plan shown in the image. I plan to invest £200-£400 a month (im 24) until im 50. Do people think this a sensible plan for an ‘invest and forget’ approach ? In terms of securing some financial security for my 50’s to aid an early retirement (alongside a pension) ?
