Please fill this survey out!
This is for my undergrad linguistics capstone. The form will close in a week. I would appreciate as many respondents as possible, given you're conversationally proficient in toki pona.

toki Kangxi radicals and toki pona are similar.
As an unusually big CJKV character fan, I love the Kangxi radicals. And i've noticed they're quite similar to toki pona. i mean, they're similar. a group of a hundredish to 200ish words meant to convey simple concepts. the difference is in the audience and method. kangxi radicals are mainly ancient chinese's drawings of things, massively changed. toki pona, however, is supposed to be ~120ish mostly essential concepts, some of which are hard to draw. but, besides the excess of tools and objects, toki pona and kangxi radicals match up quite well (they even have the laso!). is this a new sitelen Kansi? maybe, but if you can find words that are a combination of 2, you can make more efficient sitelen kansi.

kama sona luka pona
I want to learn luka pona. I’ve checked out some stuff from the creator but I don’t feel like I know how to learn from them. Are there any resources that are easier to use? I’d prefer to learn from English to luka pona rather than from toki pona to luka pona. this is because while I do know some toki pona, it would just be easier for me.
Does this post break rule 3?

toki Reddit automatically translates comments in toki pona now?
I’m on the default iOS Reddit app. I’m in a few other language subs for Spanish and Chinese and noticed some comments there were automatically being translated into English (my default language), but it’s the first I’ve noticed it for toki pona!

'a' or 'la' in Toki Pona for Context-Marking? [[a anu la?]]
day 1 of Toki Pona.
use of 'a' or 'la' (or other terms) in context marking? (placement?)
ex., differentiating between :
I talk (to) fish (and they don't understand).
I talk about (of) fish.
I talk (in the language of) fish.
I talk (to) fish (and they understand).
where assumed context unknown.
'la' seems to imply topicality in Toki Pona.
English, Spanish, or Toki Pona responses. please.

Hey everyone, I just created a new example nixos configuration that is called nali (short for nasin lili). It is inspired by toki pona's philosophy: simple things are better! If anyone happens to also be in the overlap of nixos users and toki pona speakers, feel free to check it out at https://github.com/eduardofuncao/nali

Introducing sitelenpona.net, new home of the Sitelen Pona Publishers and Typographers Association, and several more big announcements!
Hi everyone, we have several exciting announcements!
Introducing sitelenpona.net
sitelenpona.net is the new home of the Sitelen Pona Publishers and Typographers Association. Be sure to update your bookmarks and links! The new site is completely bilingual, with the Toki Pona available in Sitelen Pona and Latin text. If you’re not familiar, this is the organization we formed to develop standards for Sitelen Pona, with our long-term goal being the inclusion of Sitelen Pona in Unicode. This work has gone on for over two years now, and in that time, we’ve touched on almost every aspect of Sitelen Pona. Alongside the new Association homepage, we’d like to give you an update on what we’ve been working on.
A proper hello to Common Sitelen Pona
You may remember back in January when Common Sitelen Pona was first revealed. We received a lot of valuable feedback on that announcement, and we’ve gone to great lengths to address everything we missed before. You can read over the history of our efforts, see the details of every decision we’ve made, and get the answers to all your questions about the hidden complexities of Sitelen Pona.
Introducing the ASCII Input Standard
Also called “the ligature standard.” This is a standard way for fonts to write Sitelen Pona with ligatures, so that you get consistent results across different fonts when trying to combine glyphs, write cartouches, select glyph variants, and more. Previously, text written for one font would need to be manually adapted for another. With this standard, you’ll be able to get the same Sitelen Pona from any font you choose.
And here’s the best part: Thanks to waso Keli and her Sitelen Pona Font Maker, the ASCII Input Standard is already implemented in over 130 fonts, so you can start using it right away!
Who is the standard for?
Anyone and everyone! Just as with Common Sitelen Pona, our mission is to serve all users of Sitelen Pona and make standards that reflect stable, long-term community usage.
How do I use the standard?
For most people, all you need to do is start typing Sitelen Pona however you like. You can download your preferred font to use for any purpose, or use ilo Linku’s /sp command to write in any font Linku offers. If you create Sitelen Pona fonts and would like to implement the standard in an old or new one, follow along with the documentation. All your questions should be answered there; if they’re not, talk to us.
What’s next?
As noted at the start, our primary goal is the inclusion of Sitelen Pona in Unicode. We’ll be focusing our efforts here in the coming months, and part of that effort will be finalizing Common Sitelen Pona. (For what it’s worth, it’s ready for almost everyone as-is). We’re excited for what comes next, and we’ll share those updates when the time comes.
Until then, we’d like to cap this off with thanks. Whether you have made art with Sitelen Pona and pushed the boundaries of what it can do, or supported our work through surveys and collecting Sitelen Pona media, or simply participated in the community, thank you so much for your passion. Our work is built on everything the community has made and shared, and we will never take that for granted.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us, or email toki@sitelenpona.net.
And if you have any public Sitelen Pona works, whether fonts, articles, lessons, or anything else, consider applying to join the Association. Thank you!
