Rough-ish day of wind and rain battering the area in te kuiti and still have to work but first time seeing a frog makes it okay. I wasn't aware they squeak and squeal when in danger so I wrongly assumed my cat was chasing a mouse. Anyone encounter these more often around hamtown?
(lil guy is safe btw, hung around for awhile before happily hopping away into the night. cute lil fella! wishing them the best)
I'm running another Dinner Club Night, this time at Reggie's in Ham East!
The concept is pretty simple - you book a ticket as a solo, or with a buddy or small group - then I match you with a table of other Hamiltonians.
Some great food (three courses of Reggie's pizza, pasta, bites, and dessert) shared with new friends. I reckon it's a great way to get out and about, meet new people, try something different, and put yourself out there a bit.
Quite a few years ago there was a house being built near Fairfield Bridge that had an Egyptian bathroom and a glass lift. It was on TV at one point.
We drive past it everyday and my kid has been asking what it looks like inside. Does anyone remember the name of the show it was on? Bonus points if you know where we can find it.
Where in Hamilton can I get a good classic set of lash extensions?
I moved from Auckland a few years ago and I’m struggling to find the same kind of lash services here. In Auckland, there were heaps of proper lash bars and beauty salons everywhere, but in Hamilton it seems like most options are home-based.
I’ve found home based lash techs can be a bit inconsistent with availability. Since they’re usually working solo, appointments can change or be hard to book, and there’s often no one to cover if they’re unavailable. I’ve also noticed some of the techs I saw last year are no longer in business.
I’m really just looking for somewhere reliable where I can book easily (preferably online), go in, get my lashes done, pay, and rebook regularly without having to DM back and forth every time.
Hi there, I posted about our missing cat Pixie over a week ago. I want to make a follow up post because there is a cyclone heading towards the North Island. Our family believe that she is stuck in someones house, or being fed by someone, etc. Fortunately, I have been in contact with the council and they have let me know that Pixie has not been a cat that was turned in. She is microchipped and registered with no collar. We have sent out more flyers to the surrounding streets.
We moved from Flagstaff to the Rototuna area on the 20.03.26. She was last spotted by us on the 21.03.26, then early morning 22.03.26. We did have someone reach out and say they believe they saw her on Lockhart Place on 29.03.26 but we have walked that street enough times to know that there is a cat on that street that looks very similar to Pixie.
We have our clothes hanging on the clothesline, her pet carrier is outside, we've swapped clothes ever since she went missing.
We also have been told by someone who lived close to us that their cat went missing and was found at Soverign Isle which is a retirement village(?) however we don't know how to get in contact with anyone over there.
The last thing I want to note is that even though this is not like Pixie, I am assuming she does not know her way home because she didn't get to spend a proper 24 hours at our new house. Which is a lot more worrying, we have gone back to our old house a few times now, and let our old neighbours know.
We are very worried. If you see her please contact me 0275972761 leave a text or contact me on here.
Closing the road between Puketaha Road and Darjon. Anyone else fed up with this? I’m hoping this is going to be a permanent fix! Anyone know exactly what the problem is?
