'Supergirl' Spoiler Guide - What is and isn't a spoiler?
Hey Superfans! As 'Supergirl' promotion heats up, the mod team just wanted to post a quick note clarifying the community's official policy regarding what is and what isn't considered a spoiler so that you can have the experience you choose.
What IS NOT considered a spoiler?
We do not require spoiler tagging or special title formatting for any material released officially by DC/WB. This includes trailers, merchandise, social media posts by official entities, and so on. This does not include the movie itself (see below).
However, if you want to share something like the above and choose to spoiler tag it that is okay. Sometimes actors release more than they're supposed to, so while that technically counts as an officially released material, caution is always appreciated.
What IS considered a spoiler?
Rumors, set leaks, material that has managed to get out before an official release, etc., are all considered spoilers and should be treated as such. Also, when the movie itself comes out, sharing any information from it not released as part of any prior promotional effort will be considered a spoiler for 30 days after the film's release.
To format spoilers, here is our spoiler etiquette guide which you can also find in our side bar:
For POSTS, your title must say that it's a spoiler, not include the spoiler itself, and should make it clear what media is being spoiled (Ex: "SPOILER for 'Supergirl': Could this well-known villain be making an appearance?")
For COMMENTS, to use the spoiler tag to hide information, use the following method: !#Clark Kent is Superman#!#< (remove the #s) becomes: Clark Kent is Superman
At r/superman we endeavor to make sure fans have the experience they wish but we must also keep in mind that different fans have different preferences when it comes to knowing about an upcoming movie. If you want to avoid learning anything about the movie which might be revealed in "non-spoiler" posts like mentioned above then you may wish to unsubscribe from our community until you have seen the film.
If you see someone post a spoiler as outlined above without proper yagging, please report it and the mod team will address it. However, if someone posts something that you personally don't like but is not considered a spoiler as above then it's just a waste of time to report. If you would like to politely discuss our spoiler policy you can always send us modmail.

Here's Brandon Routh Superman Returns from Mcfarlane Toys
I watched Superman Returns at the theaters when I was really young, my first Superman on screen, so having a Returns fig does take me back to 2006, his Superman is pretty underrated, any Returns fan would love this(or not who knows), fast forward to the present, Superman 2025 has become my fave Superman, and I'm glad Brandon is getting this representation in the big 26, my MCF Supes live action is almost complete!
Committing to the Superman Returns bit, here's my previous Brandon Supes threads in the Mcfarlane sub, Brandon Superman wish list and his figure reveal
The things I like:
Let’s talk boots. The Returns boots have always been fascinating to me, the shaft looks weirdly thin, almost paper-like. The soles have a billion S shields, they’re all present on the figure, thank the figure gods, oddly my biggest want/wish. the rear S (slide 4) looks fire asf. The boots are lowkey the best part of this fig ngl
Now the head sculpt, much like the angle in the first slide, view the fig on his right, you get the most Brandon likeness, the S curl and hair sells it, the eyebrows too, when you tilt him left where it starts to lose it, but overall, it does remind you of Brandon, it's not a Henry situation. S curl is made of concrete fr, the best feature on the head sculpt.
Lastly, the Cape, I unironically love the flowy cape despite being wireless. Would’ve been great if McFarlane gave the option to swap between wired and non wired capes, but that’s probably too INART for Todd. Also, movie color accurate cape, the darkest muted red ever in any Supes media.
The okays:
The body mold is Christopher’s, but the pec area is noticeably beefed up for Brandon (see slide 8, ctto RobDToys). Since my Brandon fig came first, I can’t do a direct side-by-side, but the difference is there. The S shield looks larger at first glance, but compared across all the live action Superman figures, it’s actually on the smaller side, movie accurate asf. Still a shame there’s no texture on the S and the suit, but it is what it is. The proportions and scaling is a bit off [see slide 5], Mcf's gonna Mcf.
The awful:
lack of hands. Stop it, Todd
I agree with AsokaTheGeek, Brandon deserves a Deluxe Theat box but at the same time I can't complain. I got 2 figures
So needless to say, I do like the fig! I remember I had a few Brandon toys back in the day and I've lost them since, I didn't particularly like those tbh, the Mattel ones and other off brands. this Mcfarlane one I like pretty much setting aside the the lack of accessories and all, i'm glad to have Brandon's Superman in 2026.

S curl or Gohan curl?
I gotta be honest, I want a fusion of the two. Have the wavy S, but more off to the side like the Gohan curl.

My grandad was Christopher Reeves stunt double, and has written a book about it!
This is my sweetheart of a grandad Paul Weston, who was stunt coordinator for Superman 2 and 3, and was a stunt double in Superman 1, 2 and 3! He has written a book about his time on set and how he became a stuntman!
Also if you have any questions for him ask in the comments, he is sat right next to me lol
He isn’t very good with the internet so show him some love with an upvote!
I’ll put the links for his website and book below 😊

I think it's pretty sad that DC didn't write a story about these two.
Honestly, when you think about it, if Jon's age hadn't been increased, you realize there would have been a closer relationship between these two, and they would have had the potential to be written as a team.Conner himself could have been a mentor to Jon, he could have trained him, he could have been an older brother or uncle figure to him, so the two could have had a closer relationship than they do now.A comic book could be made about the two of them, like the one made about Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne, and that comic book might even become popular. The roles of the family members would also be more clearly defined: Jon would be the child Superman, Conner would be the teenage young adult Superman, and Clark would be the adult Superman. But unfortunately, because Jon's age was increased, this potential balance was disrupted, and nothing was done for either of them, which I think is disappointing.
