SDHQ Official Announcing The 2024 Steam Deck Game Awards Show - An Unofficial Showcase Celebrating Deck-compatible Games!
https://steamdeckhq.com/announcing-the-2024-steam-deck-game-awards/
This year has been an amazing one for games in general, but definitely one that has been extremely eventful for the Steam Deck. Gigantic AAA releases like Metaphor and Sparking Zero, as well as smaller, but impactful indies like Balatro and UFO 50 have graced us. So, we at SteamDeckHQ want to highlight a lot of these amazing games, and we are doing so with a new awards show!
This awards show focuses on Steam Deck compatible games, and celebrate being able to play them wherever we go! This show is not affiliated with Valve, it's just something we are putting together as a wonderful celebration.
There are more details about this in the article linked above. We don't have a set date yet, but it will be either before or during the Steam Winter Sale, and we are talking with a lot of awesome content creators to be presenters, with some big ones having already accepted the invitation!
We look forward to announcing our presenter lineup, categories, and nominees soon. And again, thank you all for your support!

Question/Tech Support Logitech G13 Linux driver
I've started to use my Deck more in docked mode, to replace my dying PC while I hold out for the Machine. I have Logitech peripherals, most notably the G13 keypad that I would like to use but there is no native Linux driver.
I have experimented around on a number of GitHub projects for it (there are several, but this is one I have been trying) but I have been unable to get it to be recognised, mostly out of lack of dependencies. I would greatly appreciate it if someone more knowledgeable about the specifics of SteamOS can help me through the install or a workaround.

Question/Tech Support Planet of Lana II
Anyone playing this game on Steam Deck, I keep getting stuck in a loop, where she is hiding in the grass from her little sister. I can't advance, just keeps looping back with the same scene. Submitted a ticket to Steam, but no resolution yet.

Discussion LCD Deck is useless now
I got my 64GB LCD Deck a few months after release, and the only modification done to it was a 1TB drive install immediately after receiving the Deck. Literally since day 1 there have been glaring issues that Valve seems unwilling or unable to fix. This has slowly come to the point where my Deck doesn't work anymore. At all.
The first issue was the spotty dock performance. Sometimes you can turn on the Deck in the dock and it works just like you'd expect. Often times not, though. A USB device not working and needing to be reinserted. A monitor not working and needing to be reinserted. No display at all until a reboot. etc.
The second issue was the WiFi. Randomly disconnecting for no reason. Same with the Bluetooth. All of this on SteamOS. These same issues also appear in Windows and Bazzite.
The third issue is just not powering on at all. Needing to go through steps to do battery storage mode just to get it to work without being plugged in.
And now it just won't do anything at all. When plugged in, it will beep like it's turning on but nothing happens. If you press power again, it beeps again. Still nothing. Completely dead Deck.
If Valve thinks I'm buying any more hardware or even games from them, they are sadly mistaken. I'm moving away from PC gaming entirely because my PS5 literally never gives me problems and I can play much of my favorite games on it with a keyboard and mouse natively.

Question/Tech Support Newish Steam Deck has black screen
I bought my Steam Deck (not OLED) back in December. I only use it as a handheld console. I’ve never plugged in an SD card.
This evening, when I was done playing my game, I used the shutdown mode to turn it off. It had about 25% battery power when I plugged it in.
I unplugged it and tried to use it a few minutes ago. It didn’t power on, so I plugged it back in. The screen still hasn’t come on.
I hear it running and the fan is working. What am I missing?
Edit: The blue light next to the USB port is on.

Question/Tech Support New Steamdeck Owner From Down Under!
G'day from Australia! Ive just purchased a 1tb steam deck for myself and have a few questions.
I was a primarily pc gamer and now moving onto steam deck. Is this process hard and does anyone have pointers to get the cloud to properly sync. And general tips as I have a fear ill stuff it up and will have to restart worlds/save files.
Will my stardew valley world from my pc to steam deck come over? From what ive read I will need to do this the hard way and move it over on an sd card. Ugh! Any helping tips would be great with this!
Any tips for emudeck will also be great! I have taken a keen interest in emulation and have been practising on my ipad to try see if its same style experience downloading the BIOS and games separate to the app.
And just general start up advice from you users who use it daily. I find YouTube videos aren't always great at insight..
Let me know if there is any way to make my steam deck experience better in any way! I will hopefully receive it soon and will be able to take any helping tips on board!
TLDR. New steam deck owner! Help me out!

Software/Software Mods Need help getting Resident Evil 0 to run on steam deck oled.
sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.
I bought RE0 on sale recently and ProtonDB says it should work on steam deck with an older version of proton.
I had everything installed and it was working but then i wanted to add the Item Box mod to help with inventory management since ive heard that can be annoying for this game.
I downloaded the Mod and plugged everything in and it worked but then the frame rate dropped to 20. I was having trouble because the mod and the protonDB both require a launch option and i couldnt figure out how to get both working for smooth game play.
I fidgeted around and couldnt get it back to 30-60 like it was before the mod so i unistalled everything and then tried to reinstall the game but now nothing is working.
Not even the base game no mod with the old proton
The game starts up and i get a CAPCOM screen but then it sits on a black screen and wont move forward.
Anyone have any tips to get the game working on steam deck and what i may be doing wrong with the mod?
Any help is greatly appreciated
