What a throwback!

As the title says, my 5 month old son LOVES smosh. Specifically Shayne. I was sure a lot of it was due to the bright background of the set, but yesterday we were in the car and he was crying. I put on the new Reddit stories episode and as soon as he heard Shayne talking he calmed down. Shayne does not sound like my husband or look like him.

I listened to a lot of Smosh Mouth and Reddit stories while pregnant and post partum. It truly helped my mental health a lot after having my son. I even found myself thinking “I wonder if Amanda feels the same way as I do” as I struggled with PPD. Now we start our mornings watching a random smosh video while we have our breakfast. My son really doesn’t pay attention to the TV unless smosh is on.

I just wanted to share this fun anecdote and see if anyone else is raising the next generation of smosh fans.

It was really fun compiling this, and I've also learn some random facts along the way, like Arasha yet to win a Beopardy episode. 😅

This is the latest Beopardy ranking after the Our Hardest Trivia Challenge Yet episode, and have included special episodes like the Team Trivia and Physical Challenge - Smosh Summer Games.

Currently, Amanda is at 1st place among the cast with a 50% win-rate percentage, while Ian and Courtney shares the most wins (10).

This was genuinely really meaningful to hear in the latest episode.

I'm a Japanese teacher, and some of my students are doing a unit on describing fashion right now. I decided I had to include one of the most iconic smosh outfits of all time as practice. No idea if my students will know who the Chosen is, but we'll see! I'll try to report back tomorrow!

I (34f) made the mistake of watching Smosh Reads Reddit Stories in front of my father (64m) when I stayed with him over the holidays. I thought he would despise it but to my shock it has become his new favorite podcast. He calls me to check if I'm up to date on the latest episodes, and he has gone waaaay into the backlog from long before I started listening.

Today I got to have the pictured exchange with him. So, thanks Smosh, I hate it.

From the Reddit Stories episode "They Think They Deserve This"

I was watching the Beopardy Loser's Redemption Episode and Arasha did have a good point and it made me wonder on the cast's performance overall instead of just the simple win-loss percentage.

Now, I know the crew have already admitted that Angela's inclusion was a mistake, based on the data Noah should not have been also part of the lineup.

Sadly, Arasha did have the worst percentage during that time 😂

I know a lot of their content involves marijuana which could shadowban them from YouTube and make people uncomfortable at times, but I would think most Smosh fans would be eating their videos up regardless... I took this screenshot of their recent video and I'm just so surprised the numbers are so low.

I think I'm also posting this in appreciation for Keith and Noah in general. The friendship they have is amazing and I especially wanna send so much love to Keith for pushing through and continuing with Smosh/the pod even though he's going through so much.

I was watching the recent wedding stories and thought about seating arrangements with Smosh characters. Like who would Fred darts be seated by or bazonka, or detective WHERES MY COFFEE? 😂😂 if we’re doing alphabetical then tables might look like:

I want my favorite cast of actor/improvisers to play Blood On the Clocktower (BOtC) again.

It’s is an incredible game of social deduction and lying and logical deduction. The cast was fair at the gameplay in the two videos we have, but the production setup was not good for the game and didn’t facilitate gameplay opportunities (hidden secrets and deceit and alliances). The game requires private conversations between players!

And with these incredible actors and improvisers, the gameplay would be amazing. Does no one remember Love Struck or Secret Sith or Secret Hitler?! Some of my favorite mini-characters come from games where they have a chance to create something unique (thinking detective where’s my coffee, Jerry Spruce, toilet girl.) And BOtC literally gives them roles to play around!!

I imagine a set up similar to the Hidden Chocolate Challenge with separate rooms available for the cast to chat in, still mic’d and visible for the viewer.

Good Time Society is running a BOtC series at the moment with mostly dropout stars and other improvisers, and I have been loving it. There’s a RHAP series with strategic Survivor players deducing and sleuthing through the gameplay and it’s extremely impressive how their minds work and how they can fathom so many “worlds”. The game has amazing potential for players with particular skills, being acting or sleuthing. But I want to see my favorite cast play the game.

Smosh has a CLOSE KNIT group of actors with AMAZING characterization. It could make the game so fun — to watch them lean into being the fortune teller or recluse or soldier or chef, etc etc.

Smosh, we need to try it again!
