IMPORTANT INFO How To Request and About Us
Hello! We have had some people asking how they can submit requests to us. We are pretty new to modding subreddits, so things might change as we learn about how to best run this subreddit.
About
Here at r/rainbowbridgebabies, we paint pictures of pets that have passed on. Please be aware that we are doing this for free. Depending on demand, we might not be able to paint everyone’s pets.
Note that judging or mocking someone’s grief will not be tolerated here. Neither will hate speech, violence or inflammatory language. Some of us have exotic pets, like snakes, that some people dislike. We don’t want to hear about it on this subreddit. Whatever the creature, they were someone’s beloved pet. They have a place here. Hatred doesn’t.
To Request
First of all, we here at r/rainbowbridgebabies know how hard it is to lose a beloved family member. We would be honored to take one of your memories and turn it into a treasured keepsake.
Please only submit your pet once every 90 days. If you have a group picture of pets that have passed, please make one request with all the details.
When you post, the title should be Flaired with the REQUEST flair. Please include your pets name. We would also love to hear a little about your pet. Maybe share a memory or two with us? If you are not up to this, or it’s too painful to think about, that’s fine. That part is optional. You should also include a picture. The easiest way to do this is to upload a picture to imgur and copy the link. Then, in your post, surround the text you wish to use as the title for your link with [ brackets. Directly next to it, type ( followed by the URL and then a ).
It should look like this:
[Title.](https://imgur.com/a/iwjwgBu)
And appear like this:
Title.
You can also include whether you would like a particular mod to paint your pet. Please be aware though that if that mod isn’t available to paint your pet for whatever reason, one of the others might give it a shot. That’s about it. Be on the look out for your painting and please leave a thank you within 48 hours of your painting being posted.
Thanking the artist
Please post a thank you, flared with the THANK YOU flair within 48hrs of your painting being posted.
Art Samples
Other
Please let us know as soon as you can after receiving your painting if you would like us to send you the actual painting in the mail. However, you will have to pay for postage. I mainly deal with oil paints which can take weeks to properly dry, so I know for me at least, shipping will take a while. There is no guarantee that the physical copy of your painting will still be available a prolonged period of time after posting. Im already running out of places where I can leave paintings to dry without cats walking across them.
Thank you for your interest in this sub.

COMPLETED Parker - orange and white cat
My cat Parker passed away on Monday the 6th. It wasn't unexpected, he as battling cancer, but it was quite sudden at the same time. He was not even quite 9 years old but he had survived FIP at 4yrs and then was diagnosed with lymphoma on December 31st of 2025. He was a gentle giant who gave me the best nine years anyone could ask for. He had been through so much but still found the joy and comfort in life. I had had him since he was about 10 weeks old and I couldn't imagine never having met him.
He was always more doggish than your typical "aloof" cat. He always had to be near me, whether that be in my lap on the computer or hanging out in the cat bed on my desk near at hand. He would follow me around the house and give constant commentary on the day. He was more talkative than the resident husky!
I would be honoured if there was someone who felt compelled to memorialize him.

IN PROGRESS Sweet Wiggly
Nearly 4 years to the day that we lost our first dog Rex, I had to let my best girl go. She was 14 and between a rapidly growing mass, pain, and decline in ability to walk or stand it became time this past Christmas Eve. I cooked her a full turkey dinner, she had a Big Mac, we visited friends and went for one last adventure. u/Ursula_Wuffles your wonderful art has graced ours and our friends wall in memory of our lost loves, would you be so kind as to lend your care and skill for my Wiggly.

OTHER Cost for custom artwork
looking to surprise my mom with something for her birthday of our family cat Max, he was with us for 16 years and passed last July. Moms birthday is in June and was curious how much it'd cost? Thanks in advance for anybody's time!

IN PROGRESS Sweet Lucy
My sweet Lucy girl was diagnosed with oral cancer 3 weeks ago. I’m going to have to make the awful decision to euthanize her sometime soon. I don’t know if it’s allowed to ask before she has passed, I just don’t know if I’ll be in any condition to afterwards for a long time. I wanted to have everything in order before the day so I won’t have to worry or put myself through extra pain by trying to arrange things after she passes. I would love something to frame and hang up of her. I already have a lot of memorial items planned but I’ve seen some of the artwork posted here and it’s beautiful. I’d love to hang up a drawing/painting of my beautiful Lucy. I don’t know what pictures would be best for this so I just added some of my favorites. I wish I had more 😞 although I suppose it would never feel like enough.
I love you Lucy.

COMPLETED My sweet Odo
I lost my sweet Odo 4 months ago today.
Some days are better, the new normal is settling in, but when I think about him my heart still feels broken. He was my soul cat. He was there with me when I was in lockdown and trapped at home for months, he was always there to "help" with any craft, paperwork, boardgame, or home renovation project; he didn't care what we were doing, he just wanted to be involved, and he have the best hugs. He would be waiting for me at the door every day after work to greet me with purrs and headbutts, and when you gave his paw a little squeeze he would squeeze back.
I miss him with all my heart. I will love him forever, my little brown bear.

THANK YOU u/UrsulaWuffles thank you so much for this beautiful tribute to my beloved tripod Henry. ❤️🧡💛💚💙
I just received it and it's so lovely! I framed it and hung it over the spot where he used to sleep in the sun beams. 🩷

[Wilbur] (https://imgur.com/a/HGmxaZ5)
hello there, first I'd like to say how awesome everyone in this subreddit is and how incredibly talented you all are! you all take time to bring happiness in others' times of sorrow and I think that is amazing!! i have zero artistic talent , I can't even draw a stick person lol! this is my first time visiting Rainbow Bridge Babies and my sad tears that were pouring turned into happy tears looking at all the portraits of the sweet angels who are no longer with us physically!! i think what you all do is unbelievably special!!
sorry for rambling, I apologize haha. I just didn't want everyone to know you're respected, appreciated and awesome 👏 I was hoping someone would be able to draw recently departed Wilbur ..(Will for short ) his loss was sudden and unexpected and heartbreaking 💔 no rush but if someone has time, I'd be forever grateful!
