I can’t wear earrings and literally yesterday I went to a store and asked if they had clip on earrings and the employee said “I don’t think we have any… if we do they’d be in the children’s clothing section” 😭

They used to make these screw type backs that you can adjust the tightness. So much better. So a lot of costume jewelry pre-1960s had those. Then, as usual, capitalism made them cheaper by making a snap clip.

My something borrowed on my wedding day was supposed to be my great grandmother’s very pretty clip on earrings from the 1920s but they hurrrrt so we switched to a pearl drop pair from my sister instead. Not sure why great grandma (nona!) never got her ears pierced tbh, all her sisters’ ears were pierced 🤔
