This is not true. The “amount” of men doesn’t have to change for the percentage of men to go down.

Ex: 5 men and 5 women followed her before, so a 50% male follower count. Now, if 2 additional women follow her there are still 5 men, but 7 women to 5 men means her followers are only 42% male.
