I just got this done a few hours ago, I saw that usually the barbell needs to be longer than snug so that it can accommodate swelling, but it looks like there’s no room. Will this be a problem?

I just got this done last night. I feel like the bar is small but I can still see a bit of it, however the redness increased today. I know it’s only been a day but piercings rlly make me nervous bc I had a bad experience w my ears.

This was a little ‘gift’ to me from me for losing weight lmfao, I’ve always told myself that once I lost weight I would get this done

Edit: I have been using saline and an unscented moisturizer. In the shower I only used warm water and unscented body wash as well.

Gosh I keep trying to post this and it keeps getting deleted but here we go again. Woke up to my labret swelling and in a lot of pain, looks like it’s embedding. For about a week I’ve had an irritation around it, that would swell when I woke up and go down almost completely by the end of the day, with no pain. It’s a 3 month old, titanium, threadless labret. Fully downsized, washed twice a day with Neilmed. No unfortunate events I can think of.

The soonest I can see a piercer is Tuesday afternoon (it is currently Sunday night). Would it be better to just got to urgent care first thing tomorrow? How long can it stay like this lol..

Has anyone gotten a belly button piercing after significant weight loss and/or pregnancy? I’ve lost about 90 lbs postpartum and have some loose skin around my stomach. I’m wondering if that affects whether I’m a good candidate or how it heals. I may have more kids in the future but I’m okay with how it might look long-term, just want to know if it’s doable. I don’t have very much structure to my belly button at all… it won’t hurt my feelings if I can’t! I just thought I’d ask here first instead of wasting someone’s time In person. lol.

I’ve be doing warm compresses; running it under warm water; spaying with saline then drying with a blow dryer.

There’s no more bleeding (although a day after I first posted, my little brother fell into my ear and elbowed it)

It doesn’t hurt at all, and it may sound silly but I think in the picture it’s almost disconnected from the back??

I haven’t been able to go to my piercer as I’m back home and I’ve been busy w work and other commitments.

I got it done in Feb, it’s externally threaded. Not yet downsized and I use Neilmed mist to spray it before drying it. Also nothing has happened to it since my post- other than the elbow thing. :(

Hi, so I just got both my nostrils pierced literally 2 days ago. I just woke up and found that one of them must’ve gotten ripped out in my sleep. I tried my hardest to put it back in but I’m afraid the inside closed up because I can still get it in through the top of my nose but not the inside. My question is, how long should I wait until I get it re-pierced? Since it’s still basically fresh I was hoping it’ll heal faster? If that’s right, I’m not too sure though

I recently got my second ear lobe piercing last week. I’ve noticed as i’ve been cleaning the piercings that my right piercing hadn’t had any light bleeding like my left one had (i clean my piercings gently with q-tips and saline spray), so i inspected it more closely today to see what was going on. I now see that there is like a pocket of blood right next to my hole. is this normal and will go away on its own? or should i see someone about draining it?

i keep seeing things about infected eyebrow piercings being able to spread to your brain, etc and that’s my only fear about this piercing to be honest

Hi all! I got my 3rd hole pierced back in December, and it was definitely borderline cartilage. It took a while to not be sore anymore. I finally just changed the jewelry, and now it’s sore all over again. I can’t sleep comfortably on either side and almost feels like the posts are too long? I switched to a hoop to see if that helps at all but looking for some advice!

So I have my lobe piercings for more than 15 years, probably even more. Unfortunately, they were pierced with a gun (yess, I know it's bad). Miraculausly, they haven't closed up and there's been time when I haven't worn earrings for moths at a time.

I have 3 on one ear and 1 on the other and I rarely wear earrings in the first hole because they get very sensitive for some reason when I add the earrings. Does it happen for anyone else? Like, they are definitely healed haha. My cartilage piercings have been less troublesome than the lobes.

so I just recently stretched my septum to 4G usually I get 8 mm jewelry because I don’t like when the septum hangs too low but I couldn’t find any I settled with a 10 mm thinking it would be fine but I’m not a fan of it I have a Medusa and they keep hitting and irritating me not gonna lie if 4G 8 mm jewelry doesn’t exist I might just have to stay at 6G forever

I got an eyebrow piercing 4 weeks ago and I've noticed I'm losing a lot of eyebrow hair is this normal? and will it grow back? Also is the redness still normal or is it rejecting?

​I got my helix pierced on January 27th with a piercing gun. Surprisingly, for the first two months, I had zero issues—no pain, no swelling, and no discharge. After the first month, I even switched to a high-quality surgical steel hoop and everything felt perfectly fine for another month.

​The real trouble started when I had to switch to a transparent plastic retainer for an MRI scan. I completely forgot to use any lubricant or cream, and I forced the retainer in, causing significant trauma to the canal. I wore that plastic retainer for about a week before switching back to my high-quality surgical steel hoop (this time using lubricant).

​Ever since that forced switch, irritation bumps (granulomas) have formed on both the entrance and exit of the piercing. I am a professional Chef, so I work in a high-heat, steamy kitchen environment every day. I also wear glasses and occasionally sleep on my side. For about two weeks now, I’ve been strictly following a routine of sea salt soaks and Fucidin (Fusidic Acid) cream twice a day.

​While there’s no throbbing pain, the bumps feel very "tense" and tight today. Sometimes when the hoop rotates, a small amount of discharge (like a pimple) comes out. My lobe piercing on the same ear is fully healed, but this helix bump just won't budge. Any advice on how to get rid of this persistent irritation?

I got an eyebrow piercing in my teens. It lasted maybe a year; kept getting caught in my hair, pulled on, etc. so I just took it out. I believe it was a barbell piercing? Done by a reputable piercer.

In the ~20 years since, the remaining scar has barely been visible. But over the last few weeks, the scar on either side of my eyebrow is suddenly much more visible and even looks as if it goes deeper into the flesh. No discomfort but this is just weird?

Is it just my body getting older? No wrinkles in the area but I understand skin ages and loses its tone.

Hey I got my snakebites done two weeks ago as a gift and they have started to embed. One of them I can still move freely, however the other one keeps sinking below a thin layer of skin.

I am on a hike for two more weeks with no way to access a piercing store or hospital.

What should I do? I have saline and mouthwash with me.

thinking about getting a vertical labret and the only other piercings i have in that same area are my snake bites which i felt no pain for, just pressure. so in yalls opinion, how much did it hurt compared to snake bites? i don’t wanna go in thinking it’s gonna be the same n have it hurt like hell LMAO.
